All editions of the game are the same, except for a few minor goodies. You can access City of Heroes, City of Villains, and the Architect with any valid version. You don't need the Architect edition to access the Architect. You also don't need a Mac to get the Mac Pack.

City of Villains used to work like an expansion pack, but now it's all the same game. The only expansion pack now is Going Rogue, which hasn't come out yet.

To be honest these forms are a far, FAR better place than the WoW, WAR, AoC or Steam forums that I've been to, those places are cesspools of intolerance, idiocy and general all round nastiness, the City of Heroes boards are a shinning beacon of happiness and intelligence compared to those.

Infact these and the EU CoH boards tend to be pretty much better than most of the forums out there for a fairly welcoming attitude.

Yet you moan when people have a little fun, yeesh, lighten up, atleast this is a fun, jokey topic rather than the dozens of other "AE if ruining my game" snoozefest with arguements that have been thrown about time and time again to the point that the horse is sooo dead it's now an unliving horse which stalks the living for sustenance and drains their souls with the balefire from it's eyes as it serves the very dark lord of forums everywhere herself.

So cheer up you miserable bugger and live a little once in a while, yes too many random topics are bad but the occasional odd one isn't that bad.

Most of my comments have been fun little jibs because I'm not about to get involved in the 'srs bizness' of the AE farms debates because I just don't see the point in rehashing old arguements.

The Iron Man similarity would be the damage to his heart being addressed with a new power source. Also, the fact that his heart was mortally damaged by being wounded/captured by terrorists. It's not exactly the same (since his heart was totally replaced), but the similarity does jump out, especially since the recent Iron Man movie.

My first Scrapper and only 50 so far is a Broadsword/Super Reflexes scrapper, so somewhat comparable to yours. I don't know much about Shields, but from what I do know it's defensive like SR, and late-blooming- at the higher levels, these defense based sets are very good and with a little tweaking, number crunching and a lot of money you can push the limits of survivability, but until then, they're kinda squishy.

HOWEVER, we both have one thing in common: Parry. This little power does very little damage, sure, but it gives you a temporary boost to Melee and Lethal defense (two of the most common attack types you're likely to face), that can easily be stacked on top of each other. Once you hit 50 and start tweaking your build, Parry can generally be dropped since it's served its purpose, but until then it'll make your life so much easier. It's good attack chain fodder, and nothing's more hilarious than finishing off a Boss, Elite Boss or even ArchVillain with it.

As said above, skip Confront. By the way, Broad Sword is one of the slowest melee sets in the game (Energy Melee may be the only one slower), but highly damaging to offset it- a critical hit with a Broad Sword attack is just plain nasty (except when it's Parry).

By the way, you can unlock a ton of new weapon skins for your sword, and several for your shield as well. See below:

Nice to see Statesman actually being heroic in a story. He tried to save a villain but failed, and made sure it didn't happen again even if he put his life at her mercy.

I don't really see the Iron Man similarities at all. Maybe a little Wolverine, but Wolverine's backstory isn't the most original thing in the world either.

I think Desdemona's backstory is more interesting, and it has Statesman doing something rather heroic for once.

Eh, I'm kinda disappointed but that's just me.

The pseudo-immortality part is that every 50 years a new girl is "chosen" to take the mantle of the old, and every girl is nearly identical in features to the last.
