Hi,
I have a mission in my arc that is set in the Cemetery 01 map. At the start you only have one objective, free the hostage.
Completing that triggers a boss spawn. Completing the boss triggers the final boss for the arc.
The problem I am having is that occasionally the final boss does not spawn. The compass text WILL come up that says: Defeat Boss X, but Boss X will not be on the map.
Anyone else run into this?
I have reordered the events in the editor so they are in the proper sequence but that was no help. The only thing I can think is maybe this has to do with spawn points being taken? As an example, maybe the game understands to reserve ONE spawn point for the first boss since it's trigger is already on the map ( the hostage ), but not to reserve TWO spawn points since the trigger for the second boss ( the first boss ) is not?
Any help would be great! It works like it's supposed to about 70% of the time but maybe that's because some of the time I'll clear some mobs ( thus freeing up a spawn point for later )?
Thanks for any info. -
I'm guessing it's due to the fear of powerlevelers more than actual farmers. Often folks seem to use those terms interchangeably.
Just roll a toon in Atlas, walk across the street, get SK'd by whoever and get leveled. No anchors needed. -
Well, I thought I'd throw down with some Freaks too.
This was my first and so far only attempt at this. I was set to Invincible and it was pretty darn fun! I was a tad cautious at first because I wasn't sure how the spawns would work. I kept eyeing that wall of bosses though and it wasn't long until I thought,
"Oh what the hell?"
and charged in.
Shockwave takes the challenge down a good bit but that's ok, it just happens to be a claws specialty that pays well here. Stick and move baby.
They got me after 30 minutes but I'll probably go back at some point. -
Great looking poster and I have played that arc.
One of the VERY best if not the very best. Really recommend it! -
That very first screenshot had me weeping for joy.
-
I have this problem as well HOWEVER, I can publish my arc. Maybe you guys can too.
Instead of trying to Save and Publish from within the MA edit interface I saved my file locally even though it was a hair to large. The I went to my local stories and noticed publish was lit up like I could use it and it worked!
On test Arc is 15171
On Live Arc is 6768 -
I have had the greatest time making this! I am loving Mission Architect and thought a bit of shameless self promotion couldn't hurt!
The Shadow of Kings Row
Arc number 6768
If anyone else has any posters or screenies or creative bits to promote their stories post em here! I'd love to see what your up to.
*edit* Very sorry to have started another thread on this topic. I was a bit anxious I guess and didn't see the other one. -
Ugh Foo, that's awful.
When I first started using Photoshop I did it to learn to create skins for UT2003. I had a very similar thing happento me. The power flickered at my house.
Lost three hours worth of work. Hell, I didn't even know where to start to retrace my steps. I went out the next day and bought a battery backup for my PC. -

The content of the picture scares me only slightly less than the fact that he took the screenshot in the first place.

...This is going down in my record book of people that I should question whether I really want to click the links of.

Actually, after this I probably won't click my own links anymore either.

I am curious as to what was going through your mind when you did those screenies. Uh, nvm, I'm sure the first one would be XXX and the second one would be, um, just EW!!

Honestly I just thought, "Well lookit THAT!". -

Hey Torres! These are looking fantastic! Looking forward to more.

Thanks Snow!
This feels pretty close to done now. I felt the building behind Ex's head was a distraction so I removed that but that's about it I think.
Excelerate!
Thanks for looking. -
Very slight update to this that has a large effect. I felt that because of all the multiple images inside Ex's form he seemed overwhelming. The many different colors all competing for the viewer's attention. I copied the AV layer and desaturated it. The I colored the gray layer to match the border and aura. Finally I took the opacity of the new layer down to allow the original colored layer to peek through. The overall effect is to mute the colors of the AVs hopefully reducing some of the visual confusion I was afraid was happening. I'll still be working on this one for a bit though.
Thanks for looking.
Update. -
Doug these last two that I have seen (Ivy and Zatana) have just been the very best. As good as your work has always been these two really seem to go to a higher level. Very very nice.

This one is coming along well! It's much more complex than what I have been doing for awhile and it's definitely not done yet. I am posting to get some feedback from you folks. There is still clean up to do so don't sweat stuff like a small blip of aura over here that shouldn't be or specks here and there. I'll get to that stuff when I think the composition is good.
So that's what I am really after here. Is the design too busy? Are the colors competing with each other? Don't hesitate to speak your mind please. Thanks for the help.
Work in progress. -

I am not happy with this one at all, but I spent a couple of hours on it, so here is Excelerant for Powerforge.
BTW, if I do your character and you want a larger image, just PM me with your email.

Well I'm happy with it! In fact I'm thrilled! Seems I have been spending too much time on the scrapper forums lately. I totally missed this. Thanks a ton! Very well done. I really like the coloring. Cool lighting.
Thanks soo much. -
Well. Inverting Scirocco's form on the solo paper got me wondering what it would look like to include Ex again but invert both of them.
One last try!
This is an improvement to me also. Perhaps not better than Scirocco alone but it DOES have a hero in it again. -
Humph!
I said this turned out to be Scirocco's wallpaper didn't I?
Well, I wondered what would happen if I just let him have the whole thing.
Scirocco
I have to say I like it better. The composition just feels tidier to me. I'm miffed that my hero's wallpaper doesn't even have a hero IN it now though. -
Glad you guys like it!
All done in a tired old copy of Photshop 7 VexXxa. I do have a Wacom tablet that I bought of a guy who works at Staples in town for a hundred bucks. Best money I ever spent. Great tool. -
It's been awhile since I tried anything complex really.
I've been enjoying the game itself for awhile now and haven't really tried to put together a wallpaper that was much more than a lucky screenshot with some text. I decided to change that with this next one. The results have pleased me but, like always, I am thinking there will be some modifications to this.
I really like Scirocco. I just think he's the coolest looking villain ever. Great costume and theme too. The only place I can remember ever seeing him in game though is in the Oroborus TF. I really wanted to try to set this wallpaper in Egypt or at least a desert. This means trying to do a composite from different pictures. That's not easy for me. I always feel like the end result looks odd. Like things don't exactly flow or match up, particularly if I am trying to blend shots from a game with pictures from real life. This wallpaper suffers from that to a small extent but not too badly. I thought I would share all the shots I used in the finsished product.

Finished Product!
Lots of tweaks in the finished product. It really ends up being Scirocco's wallpaper but that's ok. He's my favorite anyway.
Thanks for looking! -
Here's another one that's not too flashy. I tend to do the radial blur too much I know but there really isn't a lot I want to add to this one either. I got lucky with another strong screenshot and it just doesn't need much.
