Nice work Nihilii!
Level 52 Viridian just hits Excelerate too hard for me to get him. Strangely enough all those AVs are currently scaling to level 50 for me in MArc. I've no idea why but it's let Ex finish off the 4 he couldn't get before. -
Yup Uberguy is right. All the advice is sound really, I just tend to find myself in those long distance runs alot so endurance can be a factor. I'd like to add that putting that endurance reducer into MG really made a great difference. I can now run all toggles pretty much indefinitely even if I miss the odd DC now and then.
As far as normal gameplay? It's overkill a bit but my damage is overkill in regular gameplay anyway so no need to really improve it there. -
Hi Dayuumo!
Welcome to the game. My very best advice to a new player is really just play what intrigues you. Truthfully, any secondary is going to mate with claws well. Until you know how you play personally and what goals you may have in the long run it's tough to give advice.
I'm partial to Claws/Super Reflexes myself but /SR is a bit of a late bloomer. Hit the guides sections and see what secondary sounds fun to you. -

His Unstoppable is out of control. He will always cast it at 25%, I don't think his has a recharge.
I can get him to 25%, he will then pop Unstop. I can't beat through the resists and regen, and he gets back to 50-60%. I get him back to 25% and the cycle continues.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's probably the same as Honoree's in the LGTF.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is, indeed, identical to the Honoree's.
Unlike player Unstoppable, Statesman's lasts for 200s (instead of 180s) and it does have a recharge... it's small consolation, though, since the recharge is 245s. In other words, it has a downtime of 45s.
Good luck with that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Haha! I knew you'd know the stats! Thanks for the tip on Honoree too, I'll skip him as well. -

Yes, that was exactly me experience as well but he killed me before I could get him all the way back to 25% again. Thanks for the info, I didn't want to spend hours trying just to find it impossible. -
I've taken a few stabs at Statesman today and have a quick question for anyone who's beaten him.
At 25% he does the expected Unstoppable. It seems to run for two minutes with no crash at all so he's close to 3/4 health when it's over.
Does he do this more than once? Anyone know if it's on a short timer?
Thanks for any info. -

Also, you should throw the heal/recharge from touch of nictus in siphon life for the 9% acc bonus. It looks like a quad from description but really the same thing as the doctored wounds.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hey! It is the same thing! I didn't know that. Why do they write it up as a quad I wonder? Thanks for that tip!
Still considering all the other good advice. -
You guys are right on the money. If I do nothing else with this build I'll drop the proc into MG. As you said though, I'd love to drop the ToD from Smite but I just can't seem to figure out where to get that melee defense back.
At least without compromising other area, which is of course what builds are all about. Give and take. I'd love to see what you guys can do with it though if you're so inclined.
P.S. I say "though" too much though. -
Everything you said makes me want to steer you to Claws/SR.
Great synergy with fast attacks being aided by quickness, easy on endurance and AV capable with less inf spent. If you choose to go with a long term expensive build you can really get some cool stuff done. Taking Aid Self is very sound advice though, at least in the AV arena.
Very few sets have such a cool concept look as Claws/DA to me though. It's just personal preference but I think they're cool together. I've never played them, though I'd imagine Claws cheaper endurance costs might offset DA's endurance woes. However, soft capping that combination to melee is going to prove troublesome I think.
P.S. I say "though" too much though. -
In the following build would I benefit more from removing the straight damage IO from MG and replacing it with the proc?
Also, any other advice for improving recharge, or any advice really is always welcome. This guys is tearing through 'em but there's maybe room for some improvement.
Thanks for looking.

My latest alt creation. He's an "anti-hero" and I made him with the new CoX Expansion in mind: Introducing, the Scion of Zeus!
[/ QUOTE ]
I like the design alot! Very reminiscent of Black Adam who feels very godlike to me.
If I was going to offer any suggestions I'd maybe suggest toning down some of the yellow to resemble gold maybe?
As for an aura? I'd definitely go with the Starburst Aura!
Just a thought though, he looks great as is. -
Hello Infinity!
I know it's a long shot but if you happen to have the name Armored Saint on one of your characters and are not too attached to it I'll trade 250 million inf to get it. If your interested please PM me here at the forums! -
[ QUOTE ]
Heh, that was my topic. If it's an enemy, I want to copy Powerforge's method to force the the bad guy AV/EB to spawn at 50 instead of 52.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's the level 52 AVs in the STF. Bad guys like Regent Korol etc. No idea why it's happening. Give it a try. I created my mission on several different maps, using the Arachnos as the primary bad guys. They all spawn at 52, even the mission is listed as 52-52 but the AVs are spawning at level 50.
I'm wondering if this isn't a new scaling parameter the devs introduced with the last patch? -
[ QUOTE ]
I've done it in 5 minute 2 seconds with DM/SD. That's 255 DPS.
[/ QUOTE ]
Haha that's insane! -
[ QUOTE ]
From Powerforge a thread below (hope he doesn't mind)
[ QUOTE ]
Hi Scratch!
I've had good luck with mine. Dropped 60 AVs with him and like Bill said I've soloed a pylon in 8:18 so Claws is very capable for DPS. The key for me is to focus on recharge. Double stacking Follow Up.
Spin is a great power nowdays. Eviscerate is NOT a good single target attack at all imo. The attack chain I use is FU>Slash>Focus>Slash>FU>Focus>Sl ash>Focus.
Good luck!
[/ QUOTE ]
204.8 dps with claws
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't mind at all.
As for DM/SD... Hopefully Bess will stop by but I'm pretty sure I remember him posting a time in the 6 minute range! -

Challenge Missions.
People who play them have a pretty clear idea of what they are, and how they differ from farms. And understand that some of them LOOK just like farms.
Some people are calling for removing ALL XP from the MArch, as a solution to the current "problems". I'm not trying to bring that debate here, I'm mentioning it because it prompted this question:
If you play Challenge Missions, would you still play them if they granted NO XP?
What if they granted no XP, Inf or Tickets? The only thing you could get would be the normal inspiration drops?
If you don't play Challenge Missions, would either of these cause you to start? Why?
My answer: "Hell, YES! To both! I ain't playin' 'em for the XP! I play 'em for the CHALLENGE!"
What's yours?
[/ QUOTE ]
Could not agree more.
If you could simply flag your mission as a "Challenge Mission" thus removing all rewards it would still appeal to those who are playing them for the challenge alone, while hopefully avoiding any chance that it might be construed as a farm.
Perhaps there is a down side but I don't know what it would be. I like it! -
Anyone else getting this? My map spawns all the critters as level 52 like it should but the level 52 AVs like Barracuda are spawning as level 50s.

I've wanted artwork from Candra for some time now but things never seemed to line up...until now.
I feel the need to post two waring along with this pic.
1) While this art work does not depict anything you would see in game, some of found the level of detail makes this piece NSFW.
2) You may want to be sitting down.
Desmodas Siazar vs Black Swan , by Candra.

I wasn't sitting down when I clicked the link but I did sit down pretty fast once the page loaded...well...fell over might be closer to the truth of the matter.
Really really awesome. -

The Shadow of Kings Row: Sins of the Father. #110679 Now available to play. The sequel to The Shadow of Kings Row #21660 Although it's not necessary to play the first it does fill in some background.
Thanks for looking! -
That IS awesome! Well done.

WOAH! Those are AWESOME!
Love the coloring! So vibrant! -
That is truly the most amazing thing I have seen in this gaem to date. You didn't die in this? Not even once? Incredible.
-
Absolutely AWESOME!
You're freekin scary! -
Thanks Glaz, I just got home from work. I'll run the arc again and see if I can get it to bug. If it does, I'll clear the map and see what happens. What you are describing sounds exactly like what's happening.
