I don't use shockwave and eviscerate, personal flavor ofcourse, but I found em not needed, especialy shockwave. Get focus asap, that's the gem of the set. I would also switch smoke flash with blinding powder, smoke flash doesn't do that much. Fighting pool isn't needed, slotting hide would give you more in return. That's all I can come up with atm.

With the new willpower set, I was thinking about dark armor again. They took the aura power out and gave it a heal. Why didn't they modify dark armor to be more stalker friendly?

What do you mean by "stalker friendly"? You mean just like other sets? No, thanks. There are already enough stalkers that are only good for PvP.

I'm not talking about pvp and I'm certainly not saying /dark doesn't work. But the way I'm looking at this, it all seems a bit copy/paste without thinking about the AT. While willpower was looked at from a stalker perspective. -

The channel you are looking for is called Union Badgehunters. I have the feeling we teamed last night.

Yesterday. Getting trash talk from heroes while on my domi for using breakfrees against a ice/energy blaster, while I was pretty sure she used a strength of will :P

Now if I only didn't completely turn villain
stalkers should be allowed into that raid, co-op or pvp, which would be more fun..

Actually I have tried the excact same thing, I even got to lvl 12 and had my pet, but after a while I felt gimped in both my primary and secondary. I wish we could just select that rifle allready. What's up with all these out of date weaponry. Is it so hard to make every weapon counterpart selectable at the tailor?
-
Maybe if you wouldn't have to do cycle of defeating the mito's multiple times, it would be more appealing. Then I wouldn't mind the first round to be a little harder or longer. If he's down, he stays down.
-
I have to apologize, you're totally right. While reading back I know I was trying to say something helpfull, but I explained it all wrong I guess. And am totally lost on what I was trying to point out. So sorry
-
The solution is actually very simple. Add some badges to defeating hamidon like they did for the RWZ GM and everybody will be rushing to get them
-
The build is flawless in my opinion. It only comes down to taste now. I would change 1 tohit debuff into a fear duration and take 1 def buff off agile and drop it into dodge, because those last percent aren't too amazing. I would rather 5 slot my toggles with some sets later on then have these all slotted up though. I also think evasion is a great power for a stalker, but that's totally personal and isn't needed. As I said, the build works perfectly.
-
I was just illustrating that placating a foe allready targetting the Dom isn't gonna hurt the Dom 'more'. Got a lvl 50 stalker you know
-
I think assassin strike is the best opener, followed by one of your AoE's. And placate can be used on any enemy allready targetting the dominator, then the stalker has a choice on what else should be dead, like the unheld foe you missed.
-
Yes I was talking about it from a dominator perspective since you asked in your post. Stalkers get a bit left behind in big teams, but not at all in a duo. They make up perfectly for a dominators lack of damage when domination is down. And they take at least half of the attention of a spawn. Try teaming with a stalker your level and you will see it's not a problem.
-
No you couldn't have teamed with him, but not because of the fact he was a stalker, more because of his level. I think dominator/stalker teams are great, if the stalker uses placate right he could placate a mob still coming at you and strike the mob that was allready bothering you, the mezzer should allready be dead. The crit on held foes happens more then you think and the alpha shouldn't be a problem in a duo.
-
Little question as I'm thinking about /dark, do cloak of fear or oppresive gloom unhide you? cause that would be some heavy toggle management

Everything has a chance to crit out of hide when you have a held foe, which makes it even more borked.

I wasnt talking about held opponents which Im sure you knew..

yes I know, I was just trying to point out why I think the power is still lame, allthough it can crit without hiding. -

Eviscerate is a Cone attack so it wont be as good in terms of damage/end/sec on a single target as Focus, however if you regularly line up one foe behind another and critical out of hide its not bad. You may say, well your always likely to AS first and so ya might. I am looking for situations where a shadow maul out of hide is better than AS on my DM stalker, perhaps if 3 are lined up, but then again shadow maul is better than eviscerate anyway.
[/ QUOTE ]
If it would crit out of hide yes, but it doesn't. Also Focus is labeled as high damage, Eviscerate as superior and the difference is minimal. During the flip I can excecute focus twice :S And I can imagine you compare it to shadow maul, but is shadow maul the highest damage attack in Dark? or Midnight Grasp? thought so

Its just the way power descriptions are bit borked. Eviscerate is still a good attack because its the only one of the set that can crit OUT of hide.

Looking at other posts with questions on builds and stuff, I see stalkers happily jump in and express their frustrations. I love the AT and consider it the most fun and interesting. But also have my problems with how it has been designed. And while scrolling these boards I notice people are having this supressed anger going on, but don't express it, since we are looked at as the premier PvP class. So get it of your chest, I'll go first.
I play claws and don't mind being lethal damage. But my supposed to be amazing damage attack Eviscerate does a few more ticks then Focus, my ranged high damage. It doesn't make sense and left it out. Shockwave is just funny. -
I miss the old raids too. The actual fun for me wasn't the killing hamidon part or the Hami-O, but being cramped together with allmost 200 people in one map. I miss people spamming broadcast with useless information about who was gonna get kicked out of the Big Brother house and the people spamming back to shut up. I don't even live in the UK and think that was classic.

I don't realy get how a claw stalker can say it doesn't take skill to pvp with a stalker. Sure you can get lucky, with some defenders or trollers. But with the amazing amount of acc and tohit the heroes currently have, I find stalking the most challenging AT to PvP with atm. Let's say they don't see you coming (this is very rare) and you AS, the following happens; blaster goes in PFF, hits build-up/aim and fires 2 shots at you, they go through any Godmode = dead stalker. Scrapper hits dull pain or pops a green, hits build-up and two shots you in the same fashion. Tank just laughs and tells you to back off, because he's farming. Now tell me, as you come back from hosp, how isn't it a challenge to change your tactics and try to take em down anyway?

Just 3 more blocks on my claws/nin.. must... sleep... now. Allthough I love it in pvp actually, focus is a godly power
