Ya, go with Immob. 3 sharks swimming after your enemy are pretty cool to look at.

I went mako for KO blow. I love it. Decent shield, and you can pick up a Hold. But KO blow is awesome!!
  3. PositronBot

    mind/fire build.

The regen bonus seems negligible when I already have over 300% with health. Slotting a LOTG puts me from 17.3 HP/sec to 17.9HP/sec. And the defense goes from 5.4% to 6%. Eh... I did debate about a winter's gift, but ive been told that slows really dont matter much anymore.

    mind/fire build.

Why not 6 slot apoc? You don't think the extra acc would out way the damage/range cent for the devastations? w/o the 5th dev I have 66% acc, but with an acc IO i go to 96% acc. Range is good, but I essentially don't have any acc from BU or aim. At most a rech in TK will increase the rech by 7 sec. Rech would be good though, I just figured range might be more helpful.
  6. PositronBot

After much deliberation, this is the build I came up with for my dominator. What do you guys think? My shield will have 5 Gladiator Armor's. This will be mainly Arena Build.

Incinerate, Dominate, and Blaze are getting Gladiator's Strike, Gladiator's Net, and Gladiator's Javelin, respectively (why they are slotted). I'm not sure about two slots in Hurdle, but other than that, I think this is what I'm going for.

While I'm good at this, I will say that I'm definitely not the best at the PvP aspect of this game, especially compared to before I left, so if anyone has any input, please comment.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I am also building a mind/fire right now. My build differs a bit from this one. For instance,

Mesmerize I would slot Devestation (for damage), 6 slot would be % chance for placate, same as yours.

Flares would get my purple Apocolapyse set, since its one of the fastest activation/recharge attacks, I want that chance for extra damage to hit most often.

Health, I would 5-6 slot for all the extra regen/recovery. Miracles, Numinas, and the other +rec one, forget name. You can always take extra slots out of SS, SJ, Hurdle, if need be.

I'm also skipping incenerate for confuse. Teh Siph mentioned picking up confuse, this would be a perfect power to skip for it. You won't want to be in melee much with a dom. You're essentially sporting 6 ranged attacks that will be used in every battle, no sense in throwing in a 7th that is melee.

I also went leviathan for the "tornado" and hibernate and resist shield. Defense is crap in pvp, though poison ray is awesome, I would rather have a pet that can do good damage with fear and a nice resist shield. With DR I believe it puts you at about 40-50 % resist. Hibernate is always a good OH sheeet power too.

*edit* I would have to check my numbers, but I believe that puts you at about 36% damage bonus, 35-40 KB protection (about 8 in pvp), much higher regen and recovery, not sure about rech and acc though.
  8. I am currently running a fire/rad troller with 1 imp out and hot feet on in RV, while my DOM rests and a rad corr (all i have on that account that has heals) sits from afar and uses healing aura. I also got my 5 hour RV badge. :S

There was a mission from black scorpion (something with Mole men in it) that had these huge drills coming up from the ground and fire near them. I used my dark MM to sit in the fire and use his heal (required a target to heal off of, the drills) and that worked pretty well. If I wanted to rest in the fire I had to get my other MM (poison) to heal + the rad corr with healing aura.

*Side note* that MM I played most all of his contacts through and didn't do a single AE mission, no PL'n, 100s of hours play time, and when I hit 50 only had about 2 million pts taken of dmg.

I think it's pretty pathetic you have to get a badge that requires you to take damage in order to get a pretty important accolade. Same thing with the debt badge.
  9. I logged on in RWZ in the AE building and saw a MM there with the exact setup as this Costume I tried PM'n him but he never responded back. It was in the justice server, his name was "Locks". Did I just briefly see a gm/dev or is this an actual costume piece you can unlock?
  10. [ QUOTE ]
When you have billions of inf to kit out new characters and can take a new character from 1-50 in less than 10 hours, you kind of stop caring about FotMs constantly changing. Burn respecs to get the good stuff off the old character, delete it, PL up a new one, slot those IOs, accolade it over the course of a day or two, and you're all set until the next issue.

    [/ QUOTE ]

LOL, thats almost exactly what I did. Spent billions on PositronBot, found it he was worthless, did 4 respecs on him, took out about 40 IOs from him, made a psy/em threw in the 40 or so IOs then spent about another bill on him. And now he's AWESOME.
  11. Happened to me also. Assuming they are still testing the new update, just not sure why they didn't get this figured out on "test" server.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Good luck to all. Too bad all my PVP toons are sent over to Freedom lol

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just transfer ONE back for this league. We'll form a team.
  13. Strict pvp toon, right now with acro i have 41pts of KB protection. For my last slot in my res shield im either gonna go with another 4 pts or the last glad armor tp protection / 3% defense. Which one does everyone think i should go with?
  14. Well, i need all the KB protection I can get. This toon will be strictly pvp, so DR will take a hit on my KB protection. Currently I have 40 KB pts with acrobatics unslotted. Also looking at picking up another 4 pts with Steadfast protection: KB or going with Gladiator Armor res tp/ 3%def.
  15. As the subject says. If I put KB in acro does it increase how much mag acro protects against?
  16. If anyone has room or would like to make a team, i'm down for joining. Just /tell me in game or PM me here. I'll be bringing my psy/em blaster.
  17. Good memories, I might have to do the same.

You could also change out that heal (50) for the Miracle Heal (50), and get that set bonus as well.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    This.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Miracles only go up to lvl 40.

The way I slotted my health:

    Numina: +Regen/Rec
    Numina: heal lvl 50
    Numina: heal/end lvl 50
    Miracle: +Rec
    Miracle: Heal lvl 40
    Regen Tissue: +Regen

    You get 2.5% recovery for 2 miracles and 12%regen and 1.88%HP for 3 Numina's

Though, if you can afford it, use a Panacea: Chance for +Hit Points/Endurance instead of the 3rd Numina.
  19. Well, since no one is answering you, ill give it a go. I would go psi/elec/elec. I have an /elec and love it. The melees are great in pve. Thunderstrike does a good job seperating groups of enemies and of course BU is awesome! Trip mines seem too situational. I've never been a big fan of /dev because of the lack of good POWERFUL attacks. You also get powersink, a great +end for you and does a decent job -end for the enemy. I've known friends who've had a blast as /dev and as /elec. I personally would go /elec again. I'm more of an IN YOUR FACE blapper and maybe thats not something you want (since you want a ranged blaster). /dev might do a better job keeping you at range hidden.
  20. Well first off, Ive found ninjas seem to have great accuracy even when fighting mobs a few levels above you. I would take one acc or both end redux out of call genin and throw some dmg in there. At this level I was buying brilliant leadership IOs which gives you good acc/end/dmg and are pretty reseaonably priced. Same with call jounin. I feel those are your most powerful pets. You will want 3 damage in those for sure. Once again, I suggest brilliant leaderships. Same thing with Oni.

Maneuvers, assault, and tactics seems a bit much too be running. Since maneuvers doesn't seem to be doing much good for you (they keep dying) I would leave that off. That should help with end. It seems like this build is centered around end usage. I'm not sure if you run hover while in battle, but if you do, I would stop that. hover provides such low defense that its not worth running or slotting.

Now, your fighting style. I have two commands in my power tray that I use. One attacks my target and puts them in aggressive mode, and the other puts them in bodyguard mode ( defense, follow me). As long as you have all your pets attack the same target and dont just let them use their judgement you should be okay. Running solo with CL 1 should only spawn about 3 enemies per mob. Just have them attack the lt first then kill off the minions.

One more thing, if you plan on doing a respec, I would drop the slots out of train ninja, assault, health, and hover and put them in aid other for your pets. And the first thing you should do is throw another slot in call jounin.
  21. I have a question about this also. How many points in pve would I have to have to achieve 8 pts of KB in pvp with DR?
