There is a /whereami command that will tell you the exact map you are on. Perhaps there could be a /whatmissionamion command to tell you what mission you are on. I'm sure all the missions must have an internal code. That would certainly help us in giving the exact info.

This would be nice. For awhile you could see what MAP someone was on with your global list, that "bug" was fixed with Issue 9. Personally I'd like it back, it let me figure out who was doing what so i could build better teams, but some issues are map specific as well would be nice if we could know.

Bug Description: General Aarons, Pet AI has him running ahead of the group. Engaged mobs and die just as quickly to them causing the mission to fail. He apparently has high aggro radius, low damage, and low HP as he dies faster than he can be healed.

A complaint about one of the missions in the RWZ:
Please revisit the mission where you need to rescue diplomats and negotiators in the cave. You end up getting a Rikti Mind dude and a human General (General Arkins?) that join you in the fight... however, if either of them DIE during the fight- FAILURE.

No big deal except that they apparently have a death wish. The Rikti is manageable, but the General is a complete moron. He has no powers except a pistol... but for some reason, REALLY has to get right up into the faces of his foes to shoot at them. Even with his would be killers taunted, he dies thanks to the massive AoEs from the Nemesis.

No fun.

Who made this man a general if he doesn't understand the basic concept behind ranged weaponry?

Suggestions:
1- drop the idea of failing if they die. they are stupid NPCs, and having a base human with no powers and beserker mentatlity will only lead to frustration.
2- Beef up the hostages to actually be able to take a few punches (99% resist to AoE?)
3- eliminate melee from their option list. make them stay back at range.
4- drop the idea of them following you, like all the other people you rescue in the mission and let them FLEE!
5- allow non healing classes to give these fools inspirations

It was real frustrating to do this mission carefully KNOWING that it is easily failable, getting all the way to the very end with 1 Fake Nem at half health left, and his last AoE shot drops General Stupid. We had a moderate healer too and he just could not keep up (rad corruptor.) But if ol' Blodd n Guts General there would have just stayed BACK and shot his gun, he would have likely lived.

Or new suggestion:
Have the NPC dialogs for these types of missions with crazy beserker mentality say the following: "Hey man, thanks for rescueing me from unlikely doom. But now I'm afraid I'm going to make your trip a waste and spoil your reward, SEE YA!" As he runs off into an entire 8 man spawn... ALONE. WITH A PISTOL. AND A CIGAR.

I did not see a thread title about this so I'll add it here. If you, the team leader, are in the TWZ and try to invite someone to your team who is not in the RWZ, you will get a "<Name> has quit the team" message when they try to join. You are able to invite them once they are in the zone.

Does that happen with an all-hero or all-villain team or only on a mixed team?

We had some issues inviting others to our team last night, but I assumed it was just because we picked up a stalker as one of our starting trio.

This also occurs if they are in a different instance of the RWZ than you.

The Airforce hostage rescued in the "Rescue Negotiators" mission from serpent drummer has an absolutely insane AI and aggro radius.

Entire team is standing on the lip of the cavern with a room full of nemesis. He runs up and beyond the team and draws his side arm and begins firing, then promptly dies. Mission failed....

Team was a good 25+ yards from the nearest mob.

The AI in the Serpent Drummer Mission "Rescue the Diplomats" pretty much had my team fail the mission. The schmuck of an airforce general ran up beyond the team who was making our plans, drew his side arm and began to attack the cavern full of nemesis.

He then promptly died and we were ejected from the mission.


Aside from the lag issues, everything else seems to be going quite well.

*sings* Haven't you heard, Im Supergirl and you don't wanna mess with me.

And I absolutely love the piece. When I saw the finished work, it brought a tear to my eye as the story formed in my mind around it.

I only can hope the cameo and story Blood's requested is as good

I thought I would open this up again as Lady Judgement, Modern Myth, Juggy, Larissa and others have once again inspired me into writing mode.

Money isn't as much an option for me as I'd like most of the time and I can't really draw (not that I have a scanner or a camera anyway) that well. But I am told I write fairly decently.

So the offer is there, a Trade of Crafts, I write something for you, you draw something for me.

I won't promise minimum lengths by the way, I thought the one I did for Cyberlynx would be a nice 2 page story and ended up something like 12. It all comes down to how inspiring the concept you give is =).

The only limitation I have is I can't do slapstick/comedic, I've tried before and fail miserably. So I apologize for my own limitation there.

All that said, if you are interested, drop me a line here on what you would like to see written, for who (or about who if you want a story to go with a piece you are working for someone else) and we can work things out.
