This is a very nice idea, I appreciate that you're trying to make PvP events and I'll join in if you manage to get it going. However. I have to agree with TG on some of the points he made, in general there's nothing honest about PvP and alot of the things you suggested sound abusable, and so they will be abused.
If you ask me, someone will enter the zone seeking to disrupt the event and then everyone in the zone will hunt and kill that person, and then start killing each other.
So yeah, I'm in. -
Nah it just sounds, I dunno, a bit absurd and tacky.
Hard to describe why I feel that way, it's a similar relationship to that of my hatred for cheap Christmas lights. -

Indeed!
Though I'm not quite sure what this thread is?

It's rampant blaster love, and we're all to run around within it's warm cosiness glomping our blasters and regaling each other with our love of elemental death and destruction. <3

I'll drink to that!
Anyone got any drink?
But really, I don't die alot on my blaster on the extremely rare occasion I PvE with him, and that's because he has Phase & Hibernate. It really does boost your survivability levels.
However, also owning an Elec/Elec Blaster and Sonic/Fire Blaster, neither of which have Phase & Hibernate, things begin to change. My Elec/Elec focuses on draining the mobs endurance before he dies. And the Sonic/Fire just tries to kill everything, and hopefully not himself.
I suppose it's very different depending on your build, and on the team you're with. -
Indeed!

There are no idiots.
Just differences.
A lesson I have learned, infact I've befriended some people that others would probably consider "idiots" and have come to like them and appreciate them in a different and unique way.
The idiots do not exist if you refuse to let them be idiots. -
Alright guys but remember it is maybe a bad idea to use Inferno on someone who's in Hibernate.
Try keep that one to yourselves, ey guys? Don't want all my secrets getting out. -

And there's a difference between animation times and cast times, DefUser.
[/ QUOTE ]
hmm?? Am I wrong then? I dont get ur comment... isnt true that the power checks the enemies to affect whenever a power is activated??
[/ QUOTE ]
That is true, sorry, I think I misread your comment.
As soon as a AoE power is activated, it will check all adjacent foes and do an accuracy roll, if the roll is successful, then the foe(s) will take the damage, regardless of whatever power they used a second or so after.
EDIT: And that's simply the game engine, there's no collision/escape detection. -
Force Bubble is incredibly easy to break with Super Speed, so that's not really a problem, and in general I hope people would'nt stop and take a breather before using Inferno, you need to use it as you're moving.
And there's a difference between animation times and cast times, DefUser. -
Killing a Mastermind with a Blaster is all about speed, and generally, Inferno will not take out a MM who's in bodyguard. Build Up, Aim, Blaze, Fire Blast, Inferno will take down a MM however. You'll have to be fast about it, but it's a cake walk for more seasoned PvP'ers.
Simply nuking does'nt work either, sometimes you need to perform the legendary aerial Inferno. -

Huh? The point of Recall Friend is to get allies out of danger
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't deny this and you can still do this but not from the safty of the base. If your pvping and your tping plp you are involved in pvp so there should be an ellement of danger to you. Currantly there isn't.
[/ QUOTE ]
There isn't supposed to be an element of danger when you're using Recall Friend, that's why there's an interrupt duration. It was designed to be used outside of combat. -
Huh? The point of Recall Friend is to get allies out of danger and TP'ing them safely into the base is a good and valid technique.
The only good side to this is that droning would become a thing of the past. -
Yeah it's a decent choice, but Rain of Arrows does'nt drain all your end and it recharges ALOT faster than Thunderous Blast. In my case it'll be up every 16 seconds.
I have no idea why Elec/ is being used to much because it's very weak damage wise. And the end drain is relatively drawn out so you'll have taken some serious damage before the mob is drained of all endurance. -
Funny, most of the people who are up for it are in Vindicate.
I've been thinking about shaping a PvP SG together, at least then there'd be two PvP SG's on the server that like team PvP and we can let the good times roll.
Don't hold me to any of this, though. -
Maybe this version of Voltaic Sentinel will have access to Thunderous Blast.
What?
I said maybe. -
Take Bitter Ice Blast for example, 2 damage IO's will bring it's overall damage to 232 poins of damage, using 3 damage IO's will bring it's overall damage to 252 points of damage.
I do agree with Dark Blasphemy though, Ice/EM is very hefty endurance-wise. For melee attacks I'd slot 2 ACC, 2 DMG, 2 ENDRDX. For range, I'd slot 2 ACC, 2 DMG and 2 RNG.
