You can count me in for this again though I won't be around in time to lead a team. Working Fridays can be torture sometimes.
Also, the last run was amazing. Thanks for making this a tradition, Angel! -
Back when we nearly brought him down but for lack of time, we had to use the grounding ray to allow us to attack him; before using it he was in an "Unaffected" and afterwards we managed to whittle him down.. slowly.
Glad to see him actually KOed; did the Clues provide anything different or mention of your feat? -
I'm not Canadian, but Vancouver has a lovely airport. I'd like to see more of that mythical land someday.

On the other hand ...
With the tools the devs have, it's probably tough, bordering on impossible, to make a TF that's possible for 8 blasters to do (without temps) that a team of (de)buffers couldn't sleepwalk through in half the time.
It's just how the game works.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're absolutely right; it is the way the game is, and (outside of gadget task forces) it's not likely to change from being so (de)buff centric. But like BadStorm's impossible quest for the return of nipples, I still hope that it can be addressed. -

I don't think his phase is working heroside.
The difference between "breezing through the TF in 30 minutes" and "after 2 hours we gave up/barely won" is teams that have 2+ debuffers on them. That is all. if you can debuff him enough to keep doing damage with his unstoppable up (it only puts him up at 110-120% RES vs. all) then he's just a boring old bag of HP that you'll blow through reasonably quickly.
If you don't, then he'll go to 99% RES regularly and take forever to finish off.
Yes, heroside is just another "LOL, bring debuffers" TF.

I think you're right. One thing I noticed after doing this two times is that the Reichsman's first appearance is as "The Invincible Reichsman" while his second appearance is as regular "Reichsman." The Dimensional Grounding Ray worked on his first appearance in Boomtown, breaking through his phased status and allowing us to whittle him down - though we haven't beaten him yet (maybe sometime soon).
Perhaps it's as simple as the task force loading the wrong version of the Reichsman in the hero task force?
As an aside, it's absolutely true that it's another debuffer task force, which is damn frustrating. For those complaining about requiring certain ATs to succeed in the SF, that's how it feels for non-debuffers in the rest of the high profile task forces. Annoying. -
Wonderful! Thanks for another free issue. Now to go whack the Reichsman a few times..
-
Congratulations! She's definately a keeper.

I'm not going to mention the coolest animation bug that I've found, because with my luck, the devs would fix it as an "exploit"
however, it's cool, and I just assume it's a bug and not meant to be.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm the same way; I've found a few that are a lot of fun, but after they took away my own personal awakening emote I'm hesitant to /bug them. -
Definately some of the most fun I've had raiding. A few of my cogs were out there brawling Hamidon before their untimely demise.
With an EoE even the massive blooms weren't really enough of a deterant. Hamidon can't be debuffed too significantly from what I recall, but coupled with the bio nukes it made a significant difference. -
Come to Virtue and announce your plans here. We're up for anything.

I like the anachronism of a high fantasy character in a city setting. It makes my character feel out of place and distinct, like a superhero would in reality.

Instead of making another thread, I'll ask it here:
Does a team setup exist that can only fail? Perhaps not in every situation, but specifically in the harder end game content (STF, LRSF, for instance)? I was thinking of a team of nothing but empathy defenders, simply for low DPS, but they do have damage buffs so they might still have 'uber pwnage skilz'.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know if this is the case with a full 8 man team, but about 5 of us failed the Lady Grey Task Force simply because most of us dealt lethal damage instead of something exotic. The Honoree's tier 9 and his ridiculous immunity to lethal damage forced us to a stalemate.
This involved the use of two Shivans and a few other potent temporary powers as well. -

Now I'm not looking for a flame war, but I'd like to know if anyone else finds this horribly offensive or if we over reacted.

Posting it on the forums is the only action where you over-reacted. We've all had some hurtful things done to us because of something about us, whether it's what we believe or who we like to date.
However, were I on the team and witnessed the interaction between you and your cute boyfriend I'd voice an objection to the continued "flirting." Cute Boyfriend wiggles his butt a little isn't very thematic to fighting crime, and a little creepy. -
I have a hard time playing alts with any sort of regularity, but I'd enjoy this group's theme. As Bruthaman said, groups like this aren't very common - strange as that is in a superhero game. If you don't mind a casual member send me a global tell at @ThePaladin.

That Citadel run was FANTASTIC. Easily some of the most fun I've had running that task force.
I crashed right after we cleared that final mission, but that's the best time to crash on a task force. Thanks for putting that together, Grimrose! I'm looking forward to joining in on the other task forces in the future. -
You can count on me being there, with some supergroup mates a possibility if we're short.
I'll probably be using Paladin, but I've got a few buffers or controllers depending on how things shape up. -
If you're on Pacific standard time, I would be happy to join these during the week. The task forces of the Surviving Eight can be done by just about any combination of archtypes and powersets.

The MA wasn't added to satirize political beliefs. If the arc was a thread on these forums, it would've gotten locked. I'm not surprised it was banned, and I certainly hope that the customer service continue to crack down on using a game to spread political messages. -

The Sun looks like the Oracle's altar in the Imperious task force. Phoebas (Phoebus Apollo) maybe?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have found The Sun
Close. It's not the Alter, but the archway above the circle there.
[/ QUOTE ]
I figured it was around there somewhere.
Phoebas is their Apollo, so I think this case is just about solved. -
Thank you for this list! I've got similar interests, and it's proving to be a big help.

I was surprised to be able to make it to this event. From the looks of things, a lot of people who wouldn't otherwise attend showed up at the mention of the prize money; while that was fantastic, I don't think anyone expected so many to attend.
Once everyone got the hang of working their arena terminals and adapting how things were run to the humongous turnout things got a lot better.
Even though I couldn't stay beyond the first few prelimary rounds, I had lot of fun. It was great meeting people I hadn't had a chance to play with before, or hadn't PvPed against/with in a long time. When I wasn't confused, me and my teammate even managed to take down Xad once!
Allowing for the rocky start because of the greatly successful turnout, I'd consider the event a hit and will plan on attending other events in the future when I'm able.
Thanks again for arranging this, and for all the effort involved in running the show. It's not easy, but you guys did it.
And good job to all those who came out and participated! -

I wish we could accept that as enough of an advantage and do away with Vet Rewards entirely.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wish we all could accept that some players like and enjoy vet rewards just the way they are. Overall the vet reward program has been a nice addition to the game. I like looking forward to the next reward.
[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely. The Veteran Reward system has been a wonderful successful program. There's no need to change it now. While I may get more use out of the ICON discount than the power pool travels (Air Superiority, Headsplitter, and Disembowel are what help me solo Rikti Magus on RWZ raids) these are a great expression of appreciation to those who have been with the game for as long as they have. Not game breaking by any means, but something fantastic to look forward to as players continue to support the game we've been enjoying for five years now.
I'm glad to hear that they're continuing.
