Saturday Fight Nights - PvPEC Virtue

Hello Virtue!</p>


I am happy to start an official Saturday Fight Night. This is a casual loosely formatted weekly fight that takes place in Pocket D. We'll probably start out with a FFA, then based on turnout move into different kinds of matches. Nothing is set in stone -- just show up looking to join in on some player vs player action and hopefully have some fun doing so.</p>

What: Arena Matches (solo, team - everything)
When: Every Saturday Night @ 9pm Eastern, 8pm Central, 6pm Pacific
Where: Pocket D Arena area</p>


Tier 1 insps and arena temps only please!</p>


Prizes will not be awarded on a regular. Any prize events during this time will have the format laid out prior to the event. Which will be posted in this thread if decided on in advance...</p>

I had been meaning to make a post here for awhile, stepping down as a fight night host. I've been pulled away from City of Heroes by various games, and I don't really find the new system very much fun.

Are you planning on making this the successor of the fight nights (down to signing up and planning matches in advance and all that), or is it just sharing the name?

Hmm well...

Sign ups are definitely a no - this is just a show up and have fun kind of thing -- yes i know people do this commonly, thus the idea being that there will always be something going down now at this time.

planed matches -- possible &amp; most likely at one point in time ... but it would consist of only a few matches if not ONE at that given night

All the signing up and formatted matches fall into the category of monthly features AND events hosted outside fight night.


However, anything is possible AND nothing its what it seems

This is a great idea and I'm looking forward to getting this more organized, and see what we can accomplish. Everyone and anyone should come. I consider things like this a wonderful learning experience ^_^

I just recently got back into playing after being gone awhile.

some PvP might be fun

I'm gonna have to be there for the next one, too.

Yay... The more the better it will be!

I am in dire need of getting my PVP legs in this game, so I will be there in one form or another.

This weekend - 21st - will be the feature for the month, the lottery tournament.

I was surprised to be able to make it to this event. From the looks of things, a lot of people who wouldn't otherwise attend showed up at the mention of the prize money; while that was fantastic, I don't think anyone expected so many to attend.

Once everyone got the hang of working their arena terminals and adapting how things were run to the humongous turnout things got a lot better.

Even though I couldn't stay beyond the first few prelimary rounds, I had lot of fun. It was great meeting people I hadn't had a chance to play with before, or hadn't PvPed against/with in a long time. When I wasn't confused, me and my teammate even managed to take down Xad once!

Allowing for the rocky start because of the greatly successful turnout, I'd consider the event a hit and will plan on attending other events in the future when I'm able.

Thanks again for arranging this, and for all the effort involved in running the show. It's not easy, but you guys did it.

And good job to all those who came out and participated!

The one time I had prize money, I got a lot of people showing up too. It's a pretty good incentive

Freedom PvP event Why dont we get one of these i know plenty would like to do dis well...I would i gets to pick my partners and its 3 vs 3 yeah!

5v5 okay too? We'll have atleast 3 pvp events this month (march), but a 3v3 might be a go as well..
