Personally, I would favor: locked out of the MA until you have at least 1 level 20.
-
There is a big difference between Tweaking the MA, and placing obsticles between starting characters and the MA.
I'm not saying it shouldn't be done, just pointing out that in political terms it would be a policy U-Turn.
And there is also the "Devs hate villains" aspect: it is much easier to get to Kings Row than Port Oakes at level 1. -
I don't think the return or Perma-Hasten would be considered a desirable outcome...

Fiery Assault actually comes out very well from these changes. The reason? Fiery Embrace. With increased base damage and no base damage boost from domination, +DMG powers make a much larger relative contribution to total damage output. +100% for 30 seconds. Fire/Fire doms should now be able to outdamage Fortunatas and rival blasters. I predict a new fotm.

Yeah, I guess it can't be used whilst flying (and the same is true for many summons) because there is no flying version of the animation.

They haven't. In fact most of them have been buffed. You are looking at the damage scalar in isolation, not taking into acount the base damage increase that underlies that.

I'm looking at the power:
[/ QUOTE ]
And you conclude that all AoE damage powers have been nerfed by looking at one power!
You might ind it useful to look at the actual AT damage multipliers. Melee damage multiplier changed from 0.75 to 1.05 (and PSW counts as melee), ranged damage changed from 0.65 to 0.95. This is a cross teh board real increase in DPS. If PSW hadn't been changed it would now be doing about 30% more DPS than it had been previousy.[ QUOTE ]
Anyway, i'm stopping complaining about this; it will change nothing and people seems to just look at big red damaging numbers.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, people are looking at the actual changes, and seem to understand how the game works a lot better than you do. -
There are quite a few powers you can't use whilst flying (e.g. Jump Kick). None of them are greyed out, they just don't work, the same as if you try to utilise a targetable power without a valid target.

Since when does taking a train level you up? You can go straight from the starting point to the station/to King's Row and run towards the MA without getting a single xp point.
[/ QUOTE ]
The point is, you have to do something in the game world before you can level up. If you are a villain that something would probably involve repeated trips back to the hospital or a very long swim all the way around the coast of Mercy Island.
And they point is, only an experienced player would know where to go, and Positron's intention was that a new player would be able to level entirely using MA; not an experienced one who already knew thier way around.
So to remove the MA buildings from the starter zones would require a fundemental change of policy. -

why nerf all AoE in the dom's assault pool ?

With regard to DPA, DPS and DPE, It's actually DPS that has been buffed (assuming a full attack chain). That is why Castle has been tinkering with recharage times. However, he has increased end costs to keep DPE about the same, which is why doms are now burning through end much faster. -

The AE buildings are in the starter zone because the philosphy behind the MA was to create an alternative way of leveling from 1-50.
So the suggestion should actually be: "change the philosophy behind MA, and don't expect players to be able to level from 1-50 without playing game content outside the MA".
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really.
If they want to level from 1-50 in MA, and really want it that way, its only a yellow line trip to Kings Row. Not that hard, is it?
[/ QUOTE ]
It would still mean you wouldn't be able to level from 1-50 entierly within the MA, since you would also have to take a train journey and zone.
And for villains, the journey from Fort Darwin to Port Oakes MA is actually quite difficult and dangrous at level 1.
I'm not saying that the buildings shouldn't be removed though, just that the policy should be changed. -

As for CO, I don't think villains are in the offing at all. What IS in the offing is "Dark Champions", which contrary to a lot of peoples misunderstandings, are not player villains. They're anti-hero types along the lines of Punisher or maybe Deadpool types.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is certainly true. The people who say that villains are "promised" for CO have misinterpreted comments about Dark Champions.

Actually gamma rays do less damage (ionisation) than beta and alpha (but alpha won't penetrate your skin).

Taking into account i have taken body as an epic and run the +acc toggle too on top of four others from /shield set.
Any suggestions/sets or anything at all that might help this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Turn off the toggles you don't need? -
The base damage has been increased, so your powers do domination-equivelent damage all the time. (assuming 95% damage slotting).
PSW was bugged, but they didn't fix it before because /Psi was otherwise underperforming. All other powers in /Psi have had a damage buff. -
You have failed to notice two things.
Not all doms are perma.
Not all doms are /Psi and over level 38.
It's a major buff to anyone trying to level as a dominator (although still not enough to actually make dominators any good). -

Allegedly CoH was to have PvP & Villains in from the start
[/ QUOTE ]
CoH wasn't even planned on having PvP at the start, and certainly not player villains.
The CO devs are talking down the prospect of player villains: they consider CoV was near-disatarous for CoH, and they don't want that to happen again. -

Hang on, didn't they say that we would be able to set arc/custom enemy levels in I15?
[/ QUOTE ]
You can set the min and max levels for missions. Go to the "Mission parameters" tab.

Or the rumoured MM pet colouring...
[/ QUOTE ]
Create a boss fight (or ally, or whatever). Scroll down enemy groups until you see "Pets". select a pet. Press button labeled "edit standard critter". -

You can already recolour MM pets in the issue 15 version of MA.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait...WHAT?! Oo
Like....how? Does that apply to PC MMs too?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, just pets you use in MA missions.
There is only a fairly small subset of MM pets available though. You can, for example, change the colours of some of the plates on an Assult bot, or give the lich yellow skin and a pink robe. Oh, and I had lots of fun with the Oni.
Shows the tech has gone in though, all they need is to do is the interface. -
It's probably a bug, but I have found that in the issue 15 build on the training room, there are some standard mobs that don't scale with level: so if you use an custom enemy group containing those mobs and have the maximum mission level set low then no mobs spawn on the map.
Current prime culprit: DE: Lichen Colony (level 41-41). -
