And the Silence obviously wanted a Timelord, probably to work whatever time machine they were cobbling together...
One thing we did learn about about the Silence is they are parasites. They don't develop thier own technology, they get thier hosts to develop it for them. So, if they are developing a tardis-like time machine, the technology must have come from a previous host species. I.e. The Silence previously parasitised the Time Lords...
  2. Sounds like a "shush" moment to me.

Easy to see how it could arise when copy-pasting the powerset. Gauntlet AoE was disabled for a long time because of the issue of procs benefiting from the AoE (needlessly IMO, it's not as if tanks would have been OP).

Equally, using it as a sort of play on words combination to mean The Silence will occur/come to be/etc doesn't really make sense either because they're already there and have been for thousands of years.

Am I just missing something really obvious?
The Silence may not have been there for 1000s of years prior to the universe being rebooted. They may have engeneered thier own existance in last seasons exploding Tardis. Thus "Silence will fall" can indeed mean "Silence will come to be".
  4. A few things worth mentioning:

Dr Renfrew is clearly based on Renfield (Dracula).

Greystrike Ophanage is apparently a nod to Greystoke Hall (Tarzen), but they get thier signs made by the same people who did Arkham Asylum.

Possibly the most sureal moment of the episode was the disapearing door window, through which we briefly saw Frances Barber with a cybernetic eyepatch. She will be back.

A throught: The Moff is recreating characters from the Dr Who he grew up with. Rory = Harry Sullivan, Canton = the Brigader.
  5. Antimatter wanted to be a spoiler, not help Primal Earth.

Heroes are already alerted. Villains are already alerted.

Who else might want to know? The Rikti.

So who might the "she" be on Primal Earth? Kelly Uqua.

I'm looking forward to the second part of this, but I just know Moffat will have the mid-season cliffhanger be a doozy...I suspect it'll end with the Doctor's death....
Or the Doctor plunging the universe into war over Amy, with Rory on the other side...

Just been watching "confidential", and there are a few points confirmed:

The death will be resolved over the whole series. And yes, it really is him and he really is dead.

We will find out who River is this series.

    Amy's pregnency is central.

I do have a few more hints, from Radio Times, but they are spoilerish.

Well, Churchill was more of a charactature - he didn't get that fat until well after the war.

Oh, and Canton Everett Delaware III was played by Mark Sheppard. British born, but most of his TV credits are on US shows. I would like to see more of this character.

Either way, somehow there'll be a way out of it hence why it didn't shock me in any way.
Given how the Moff's mind works, he will expect people to think that, and so the twist will be, there isn't a way out of it, he is really dead this time.

Oh, and the spaceship - wasn't it the same as the one in The Lodger?

Did you notice the difference in the reaction to Rory from the older Doctor and the younger Doctor? The younger Doctor is almost as pleased to see Rory as he was Amy, but the older Doctor really didn't want to know.

Me thinks something is going to happen that makes the Doctor not like Rory...

Oh, and Mickey-the-idiot qualifies as a male companion, even if only for a couple of episodes. And Wilfred Mott was given official companion status.

I think the River arc will be resolved this series. (Probably River in the space suit)

And Primal Hamidon is the letter writer.
  16. Subjective Feedback: The icon sucks.
  17. Some of the purple sets are much cheeper than others. The Confuse set is cheep, as is the Stun set, and the pet set isn't all that expensive either compared to the damage sets.

This pretty much has to be true. Villains will team with heroes because of a mutual threat, but heroes aren't going to team with villains on a quest for unimited powah.

Most powerset rez powers do render you completly invunerable for a short time, which is considerably better than the freaks get.

Of course assuming farmers/min maxers aren't the majority of the current playerbase.

And yes with accumulated incarnate boosts, it will get better. But seeing a baseline helps and we can always just take that baseline and assume we can shave off time because of increased capabilities.
It's certainly true that the more mobs you fight at once, the faster you can collect shards. Thus, +0/x8 is better than +4/x1. This also increases your chance of earning purple recipes, and Vanguard Merits if you are fighting Rikti to exchange for Gra'i Matter.

Sounds like it. I've had two of one mission playing on 0/x3. On 0/x8 I avarage just under one per mission. Unless you have "bosses whilst solo" off?

I did only get one of the Kahn TF just now though.

  25. It's not extreme though.

I reckon I could solo a Notice in about a month (playing 1-2 hours a day).
