Only Poison Gas arrow for Controllers and MMs is acutually broken (the defender version works), and that is due to be fixed in issue 7.
Some defenders consider the power to be broken in the sense that the holds are more powerful in the controller version, which is a secondary, than in the defender version which is a primary. -
Scorpion Shield will be +Def S/L/E, +Res Toxic. It is similar to powers in the Energy Aura set.
I get the impression Shark Skin is an Auto power. I think there has been some attempt to make the shields a bit diffrent to each other dispite them all having S/L.
Many of the powers are taken from current sets of course, so I doubt they will be much different.
I think it would be worth adding in the powers of the pets to your table in order to make it a definitive analysis.
I agree with Captain Morgan about Spirit Sharks, it will be a cone imob. -
Why would I want to convince you to play a Scrapper? There are loads of Scrappers. Play a Defender or a Tanker.

TA for a MM is all about debuffing. The control aspect is less effective than for the controller version. I find the endurance pretty light. the recharge is okay, it is the animation time which slows the set down (and tends to keep you rooted to the spot). Poison Gas arrow is currently broken, but should be fixed in issue 7.
You will probably want most of the powers, glue arrow to keep the mobs in the aoe of the other powers, Flash arrow and poison gas to kepe your pets alive, acid and disruption (which is great) to help them kill the mobs faster. You pronbably can get away with lightly slotting them though.
The oil slick is quite a good aoe damage power, but you will need your top tier pet to set it off. -
But it should after issue 7.

Yes, I do that. I was wondering if i could squeeze a little more benefit out of it clicking Power Boost before Domination rather than after.
The travel power boost is fun though. Even sprint becomes quite nippy.
Another one then. Does Power Boost affect Health or Stamina? -
Does anyone know if Power Boost increases the mez or damage buff from Domination?
Does Power Boost affect Hasten? -

At lest PvE has a story and a sense of progress. -
Thinking back, I think I heard Statesman, RL etc will be GMs, not AVs, and that GMs would be made tougher in issue 7. So a solo stalker, however experienced at PvP wouln't do very well against them.
Also, since you don't get xp for PvP I expect most level 50s are in the hands of experenced PvEers, not PvPers (discounting PLers). I expect Sirens to remain the zone of choice for hardcore PvPers, since level 20-30 can be reached quite easily. -
I do see the gameplay features in RV as an attempt to address the imbalances in PvP.
Your character is weak in PvP? You can control a giant robot to fight for you.
You have a PvP build that is weak in PvE? You will struggle to fight the NPC Heroes/AVs that spawn in. -
I know the powersets pretty well, but I'm still not a big fan of PvP. It's just dull really.

Biggest issue in PvP is toggle dropping - is this going to be looked at?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it's been looked at, and reduced a little.

Why are we fighting over post boxes anyway?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think that is meant to be pill boxes:

Dug-in guard posts (with loopholes for firing through) and made from concrete are also known as "pillboxes". The originally jocular name arose from their perceived similarity to the cylindrical boxes in which medicinal pills were once sold.

I think he has perma-granite armour. Best thing to do is drop him on top of the mobs. If you have kinetics or rad as your secondary you may be able to speed him up a bit.
-
Does Power Sink wake sleepers? I'm thinking it is probably better than Dark Consumption.
-
Oh, aye, It'a all right for some.
Doesn't Psi Assault have some kind of end recovery too? -
And it will be even worse against blues and greens. Oh no keep those scary green mobs of me.
-
I would think the powers for the pet versions would be much the same, but the rank for all would be "pet", and that would mean different hp, end, accuracy and resistances.
-
Trick Arrow works as a controller secondary because the controls have controller durations, MMs don't have that advantage. Add to that than afaik the MM version of Poison Gas Arrow is as broken as the controller version and you are left with a single target imobilise, a single target hold, and aoe hold that wipes your endurance, a slow and an aoe knockdown. Probably not a good choice.

Hence the Patron Power pools are all much the same. It doesn't matter which you pick if there is no significant difference.

Cryptic's design philosophy would indicate, along their risk vs. reward scheme that PPP's would be proportionately more powerful.

They CAN'T be though without completly unbalancing the hero/villain equilibrium. -
Doesn't anyone have a hero round here? Heroes certainly don't have to take any powers from thier epics (I only have one of the powers on my level 50 ATM). I'm sure villains will be the same, and you will still be able to choose a patron for the missions and respec.
The total number of powers is 23 (I think), and you have 18 primaries and secondaries, 16 pool powers, and 4 epic/patron, for a total of 38 powers to choose from. -
In my opinion if you can do without an end recovery power BS is far better than Mako.
BS gets a resistance debuff power;
BS gets a +def power, which is better against mez;
Mako's defense power sounds like an auto power by its description, so the values will be small. And cold res aint a whole lot of use anyway. -
It will almost certainly be level 40, however you will have to complete a series of missions before you can get your powers, hence the free respec.
-
My opionion is that pretty much all dominators will need an endurance recovery power, which means there are really only 2 to choose from not 4.
