villain hates hero
hero hates villain.
[/ QUOTE ]
Where does it say that? many heroes would consider it unheroic to hate anyone, and the more intellegent villains would consider hatred an unproductive emotion: heroes are simply an obsticle an thier path to world domination. Do Magneto and Professor X hate each other? I don't think so!
The comics are chock full of stories where heroes and villains have to work together against a common foe, and they share equipment all the time. -
It's easy enough to be a natural origin controller, so long as you are not human. But if you go by the in game origin descriptions, there isn't anything that fits the "ordinary human driven to be a hero (villain)" idea for controllers (dominators). All the other non-epic ATs have powersets that suit this kind of character.
-
I agree that they need to avoid attaching anything important to the rating system. It won't WAI.
-
Alowing players to hack thier missions would give them more freedom.
-
Everything the devs have said suggests that incomplete missions are stored locally.
-
You can make as many missions and arcs as you like, its only uploading that is limited. If a mission is poorly recieved you can take it down and you still have it: to work on and improve. Then when it's better you could put it up again.
Basically, thier has to be a limit on how many missions you can upload. They each take up memory on th mission server. If you have 1000 people uploading 30 missions each, 30,000 missions is a lot of data to store, not to mention the download issues when people log on to the PCC server. You think crashes from the AH are bad?! -
Personally, I think they have got it wrong in using unlocking stuff in the architect as a reward for making and playing stuff. Stuff would get made and played anyway: it wouldn't give an incentive for players who whern't interested to use it. They should stick with something that has no effect on your ability to create the content you want to - i.e. Badges.
This is clearly something that could be changed if we make our objections known though.
The only justification I can see for having unlockable stuff in the arachitect is to avoid spoilers, you shouldn't be able to uses stuff you havent encountered in the main game. As ong as this was account wide I wouldn't have a problem with it. -

So quit whining and leave.
[/ QUOTE ]
We never tell people to leave - we give them a hug, hold their hand, and tell them everything's going to be fine
[/ QUOTE ]
Which would have them heading for the door even quicker. -

Fire-Man with molotov cocktails
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, right, I can see exactly how a molotov cocktail could turn into an imp.

Plant-Gaia loves you so much she sends her 'children' to protect you
[/ QUOTE ]
Which would make your origin magic.

Aliens are natural origin,
[/ QUOTE ]
That's why I specified human. I have a natural dominator, but he aint human.
[ QUOTE ]
Except... that just means a 'natural' controller needs a Tech origin.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tech origin can explain current controler powers. I could invent a gravity device.
The Tac Rifle uses technology similar to non-lethal crowd control technology that exists in the real world. As it doesn't require any exotic tech it would be perfect for a natural human controler, perhaps of the Super-cop ilk. -
It has some controls, but it is a debuff set, not a control set. Thats why its a defender primary, and controllers only get it as a secondary.
Say I want to play a controller who is a natural origin human. There is currently no primary available that fits that description.
Oh, and Poison Gas Arrow isn't a control, its a damage debuff, with a low chance of brief sleep as a side effect. -
I heard they where going to include him, but he would be impossible to beat*.
*Unless you managed to aquire the "Summon Chuck Norris" temp power. -
The radius of the power is 8', measured from the centre of your character. It is possible that a large character occupies slightly more of that area, and hence can fit in fewer mobs. It caps at 10 though, and so long as you are not fighting very large foes you should be able to fit 10 into the aoe.

Thats why the badge for defeating them is called Cold Hearted.

COT demons are the only demons in the game

Not true. -

I do think people have some right to be annoyed by the fact that we do receive less dev attention

If you want someone to do something you are more likely to influence them by being nice to them. -
[ QUOTE ]
I've seen Red-names drop in for a forum chat stateside and talk/comment on the most obscure/innane topics
[/ QUOTE ]
Which if they tried to do here they would get slagged off for time wasting. -
BAB knows the people on the US boards. here, the names mean nothing to him, so it gives the impression the comments are coming from everyone.

There's more to be announced yet, some of which I think you might find appealing.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think that is a somewhat over-optimistic opinion. You're not Australian by any chance? -
I don't find Jay remotely funny, but I'm prepared to humour him because he designs good costumes, and because you are more likely to influence someone if you laugh at thier jokes, however unfunny they are.
Humour is entirely subjective. You cannot say something is "not funny" without being a complete moron. All you can say is "I don't find it funny". BAB, I find mildly amusing, but since he doesn't post here, CatusBrawler gets his wish. -
best thing to do is just give it a go, it isn't long.
-
Nor is he payed to post on the forums, he does that on his own time.
