To me, it says they're done with Peacebringers for a while, and aren't really interested in our feedback at this point.
so extracted essence bug doesn't get fixed, essence drain doesn't get fixed, photon seekers doesn't get fixed, solar flare doesn't get fixed, and pulsar doesn't get fixed, and the animation times don't get fixed.

what was the point of doing these changes if they didn't fix everything that was broken/needed buffing? I understand that they were being cautious and didn't want to over buff but I was under the impression that that was the entire point of beta? to test things to make sure they weren't over/underpowered and test stuff for live?

if any of those changes would have made khelds overpowered and it was agreed upon by everyone, I wouldn't have any problem with them taking stuff away in a beta setting.

no they aren't. pvp hasn't changed in the last 3 years. literally nothing. not even bug fixes. whatever you found is more than likely still relevant

As opposed to the 7 year joke they've been playing on Khelds?

To be perfectly honest, im surprised and a bit disappointed that we haven't gotten anything but Zwillinger's squid picture in here. I mean, there's only one thread on the discussion forum right now with more posts...and that's the stickied level bump thread.

    I think that says something.
it is like pvp all over again
  4. Don't suppose there's any chance of us getting the A. Hawk (or Any dev) to comment on this stuff again in this thread is there?

I swear I've seen less and less communication from them over past few years.

  7. PB is sososososososo much more useful in pvp than a WS

the reasoning behind 'more aoe damage potential than super strength' is probably factoring in the nuke, photon seekers etc. without thinking that foot stomp can be buffed significantly while also having less cooldown, and more function since it does knockdown (allowing for chained footstomps).
not to mention that everything that can use SS also has access to fireball and double stacked rage. but PBs have more AoE damage potential? i'd really like to see whatever numbers the devs are using to get to that conclusion.

-Solar Flare - Not going to change knockback into knockdown at this time. While many of you are saying “It should do what Foot Stomp does!”, Peacebringers have more AoE damage potential than Super Strength characters. When looking at the PB’s whole toolkit as a unit, rather than at individual powers, we think they’re in pretty good shape after the changes that have already been made.
    lolwut?

so then why couldn't they just make the pet summon as soon as the power is activated then still have you have go through the animation? i wanted to say that that is either the same thing or similar thing that they did with HoB but i wasn't 100%.

i'm also assuming that they can't just shorten the animation by alot.

You mean every other incarnation on the higher-hit point, higher-defense/resist ATs that are designed for melee, typically with zero to one ranged attack?

Gee. Imagine that. Wonder why they might think the (lower HP, lower resist, no inherent defense) PB Human form might want to do something to get multiple enemies out of range in a way that takes them out of the fight for longer and puts them into (typically less damaging mob attack) ranged versus melee mode... hmmmm....
well if solar flare is changed to KD, wouldn't luminous detonation still accomplish what you're wanting here? an AoE KB used to get enemies off you? I mean the KD would give you enough time to either pick a perfect target to get the most KB out of LD, or give you enough time to jump out of the spawn and reposition yourself for proton scatter or nova DPSing.

Did I miss some big announcement between yesterday afternoon and today?
yea, the game is shutting down. 2.0 was the dev's first thing to shut down

also it doesn't have to be a significant amount of defense. just something that doesn't make those shield redundant. while still keeping the res component of course to stay in line with cottage.
  16. I'd like to ask for them to look at extracted essence. there has been a bug for quite a while now that if you use the power on a dead body and said dead body either disappears or revives, the essence isn't summoned. I can't imagine this is working as intended but if it is, can it not? also i'd be nice if they acted like VS or PA in that they can't be targeted but i can see how that would be a bit OP. any other WS changes that I would want would be coupled with PB changes I.E. reduced form change time and a solo inherent buff.

Also since both PBs and WS's now have a t9 that can be made perma and basically cap resist (or get very close to it) i'd be nice to give the shields a smaller res value and a defense component. possibly mez protection, but if dwarf change time gets reduced along with this current change, then that should solve that problem.

also if CB/DS keeps the same mechanic (different buffs depending on team) can we make it a constant and not a proximity buff?

Be sure to test changes and state what you think of them, and if you think more are needed, state why. The devs are listening (FYI, Arbiter Hawk is the guy who is in charge of these changes), so now is the time to speak.
if only i could get on beta.

No rooting while in Light Form is why we no longer have the form-shift, as that is going to be seen as too strong with the current changes. You can basically have perma light form now, and not having rooting would be ridiculous with that. Arbiter Hawk said they are looking into FX changes for this so it is more noticeable, but that is for the future. The FX and artist types are swamped.

Same thing for the shapeshifting animation. Arbiter Hawk says he would like it to be 1.5 seconds, but the current animation looks all wrong when shortened that much. So the change would have to wait on that.

Solar and Dwarf Flare now use hand clap, as they can be used while in the air, which is a buff. We did discuss having the footstomp animation subbed in while not flying, but Hawk said that is yet again a FX issue.

I'll try to find a sum up post for what we have been debating for other changes.

I really hope so, these are some great changes but there still is abit more that needs to be done.

but for the moment at hand, bravo for listening devs.

  22. currently half*** working for mac players makes me disappoint D:

also if we're all VIPs then shouldn't we be able to see the section of the forums for said beta that contains all the patch notes(which in all honesty is 70% of what i care about when i'm let into beta) assuming there is one.

My Peacebringer build focused on s/l defense and I just assumed that Combat Flight was helping me reach my goal but when I toggled it off I noticed it was only affecting my positional defense, and all the types I was building for were higher than my positions making it worthless. pretty sure thats on the list of known bugs. it should provide both. but doesn't.
