Could be a problem with the global chat server. Know they were having issues with the Beta Account server, so not sure if that's related. Hard to tell from here in the office

Right. Nomenclature. This is what I get when I assume people already know the proper channel names
I know it is triumph 2.0 watch. I just didn't type the whole thing out on the forum. I have been apart of the chat channel for months and never left it. I'll check the game today and see if it is back. Maybe there was a problem with global yesterday.
Just be sure you do put in the correct name of "Triumph Watch 2.0", otherwise you will be joining a global channel where you're the only member.
I got my answer from ncsoft. I let my "vip" lapse for two weeks. The new system auto removes you from all custom chat channels. This is bad. It is stupid for them to remove you from all CCs. They should auto-mute you, but completely removing you sucks!. COH/COV has hit it's "jumping the shark" point with freedom.
I think the GM's are jumping the gun on that response. However that being said, if you don't log into the game at least once a month (30 days), chances are you were auto-kicked due to the channel time-out that is in place on Triumph Watch 2.0.
The reason for the auto-kick is due to the number of inactive accounts clogging up the channel. When the auto-kick was first activated the channel went from 2,400 accounts to under 1,000. This saved yet another migration to a new channel. I only wish I was still a moderator on the original "Triumph Watch" channel to fix that for everyone.

What Snow said. Also they're public channels, so you can just rejoin if you ever get auto-kicked or accidentally delete you chat tab (something I do every other month).

What happened to the chat channels for triumph? Did the devs clear/delete all the custom chat channels? When I logged on yesterday Triumph 2.0 was still active and anything. Today when I logged in, I was listed as the only member. So I tried to join the off-topic channel triumph 1.5 and the game said it doesn't exist! So whats going on? Did I miss some big announcement between yesterday afternoon and today?
