I doubt it. No one in their right mind would play a game like City of Heroes and cut it and its developers at the knees like that. Too bad we probably couldn't convince him to play someone's level 50 with the rest of us in a Hamidon, Mothership or Incarnate group to show him that this isn't some infantile MMO.

If you haven't invested a lot of money in this character I would highly recommend just making a new SS/FA. It doesn't take very long to farm yourself up in AE. SS really only uses Punch(rarely), Knockout Blow(for bosses), Rage, and Footstomp. The main difference you will have is your PBAoE has a smaller radius and I believe hits less enemies.

I purchased a set of Hecatomb IOs from the Paragon Market a week and a half ago and put them in my global email. I was going to put them on a character once he reached level 50 but now for unforeseen reasons I won't be able to log into CoH for quite a while (longer than the 50 days left on the mail). My account is still active and being paid for (VIP) while I'm gone, but I want to know what will happen to these items once the email expires. I assume that they'll just be deleted, but will there be any way for me to recover them upon returning?

If assault isn't worth the endurance for the brute should I go for the Fighting pool instead? Weave has higher defense and costs less, plus getting rid of vengeance would get rid of one of those LotGs and I'm more of a solo farmer so it wouldn't make much of a difference.

Here's a revised version I made, it has more fire defense and recharge but it's just a little more expensive.

Hi everyone, I'm working on an SS/FA build that includes flying simply for character concept. I have about 70% of the IOs in this build, it's not supposed to be perfect (no perma-hasten) and I'm just looking for feedback if I can improve anything. I ended up with a bunch of unused slots so I put a little bit more into managing endurance, right now with everything running the build has 29.7% fire defense and uses 1.27 end/s with 2.97 end/s recovery. Right now I'm using a similar build but with the fighting and leaping pool instead of the leadership and flying pools. Anyways, here's my build, I'm not one for crunching numbers and I'm looking for any input, thanks!

I think I got it to work, sadly I didn't change things one at a time to troubleshoot so I'm not exactly sure which one I did to fix it. But I closed multiple background processes, explicitly added the game to my anti-virus (I doubt it was this one), and set it to compatibility mode (Windows XP SP2, I think this is what solved it). But I was able to log in and open windows, I've never opened so many windows out of joy. And now I'm running everything maxed out with 32x anti-aliasing at ~40+ fps

I've tried multiple graphics drivers with no change, I found a thing on the NCSoft support page talking about freezing when opening the contacts window. My game freezes when opening the contacts or any other window but the article says to downgrade to drivers in the 190 series which isn't possible for me, so I'm completely lost.

Tech support just told me to start it in safe mode :*/ I can get on all my characters and run around but can't do any missions or change/edit costumes as opening windows crashes the game lol

I managed to get to the login screen while not in safe mode, but now whenever I try to enter a character (even in safe mode) the game crashes on the loading screen. I'm still looking for help and about to reinstall again.

Edit: I upgraded to some beta Nvidia drivers and can now run the game out of safe mode. I can change the screen resolution and things like texture and shader level, but as soon as I try to change any of the shadow, reflection, or anti-aliasing settings my game freezes.

Edit 2: I downgraded to earlier drivers (280) and can now load the game out of safe mode. I changed all my texture/resolution settings but still can't change settings like above. Opening windows also causes the game to crash such as the contact, costume, personal info window etc.

Hi I've just returned to try out Freedom with a fresh install. Upon loading the game I get the splash screen but nothing else, I can see the CoH mouse cursor but then after about 15 seconds it changes to the Windows loading cursor. It will just sit there unless I go to the Task Manager and end it. So I tried starting in safe mode and could log into my character (for the time in hundreds of days :*P), I changed the resolution successfully but upon trying to change any other settings the game freezes just like the splash screen freeze. After some digging I found a post about tablet drivers affecting the game so I uninstalled my Wacom drivers and rebooted, upon starting without safe mode I could hear the login screen music but it crashed after about 10 seconds. Reinstalling drivers didn't affect anything either. Now I'm not sure what else to do and I'd like to get back into playing so any help would be nice.

I like the look of Solar Flare more than Mire :P That's the only reason I'm thinking of a PB lol

How is PB with end and such? Does a WS have less down time cause of Stygian Circle?

Between the two Archetypes, which one would be conisdered better for dishing out damage and leveling faster from 1-50? I have a 14 PB and 20 WS and want to level them both but I'm not sure which one would be easier first. I like the look of the PB but WS seems much better with Dark Extraction and Stygian Circle.

I have a level 42 Thugs/Dark but find it way too easy and boring since my pets can do all the work for me.

I've been looking to level a villain to 50 for a while but haven't been able to find a class that is still fun and able to fight well. I don't want to do another melee class since my last 50 was a scrapper, however, a electic or energy brute sounds fun, but I was leaning more towards a dominator. Any suggestions?

I just finished my first arc last night, it was made of 4 missions with 100% custom mobs and storyline, and I went to see the ticket vendor, but how exactly do we get tickets? Do we get them from finishing missions, making them, testing them? Also, if I unlock something from the ticket vendor, does it count for my whole account or just my one character?

Thugs/Dark. You have 4 pets with cones (enforcers/thugs) one guy with burn patches/breath of fire (arsonist) and a guy with a big kd aoe (bruiser footstomp). In grps of 8 the orange numbers are stacked ontop of eachother. Use howling twilight to keep mobs stunned and inside cone/aoe range and tar patch for bigger numbers.

Ya a bane guide would be nice :P

Fire/Kins are mainly used for farming so I don't know why you would be making one not for farming because that's what they do best Fire/Kin is extremely slow until lvl 32, then you can start running missions on invincible, then at 38 it becomes insane especially in large groups.

Anyways, here's a build that I use for my fire/kin excluding slots.
