I'd actually go for +Defense before anything elso IO wise. After they added powers to the Patron Pools I switched over to GW and took Darkest Night. I saw a large leap in my DM/FAs survivability. This prompted me to further enhance his defensive #'s. With 25% to Melee and Ranged types I feel a whole lot beefier. Layered defense (Resistance, Defense & Heal) is truly (in my opinion) the best way to go.

I too have felt the call of Fire/TA. One simply must become excited at the prospect of OSA > RoF > AA > DA. The rest is just gravy.

I've got to agree with the forum favorite...

Ill/Storm is so verstile, awesome and effective that you almost have to make one.

Other favorites of mine include Fire/TA (Imps dont work in OSA so be warned), Grav/TA is a boatload of fun too but I'd be hard pressed to say why that's the case. Oh, and Fire/Rad also highly effecitve/fun.

Still gay for my Rad/Dark Defender. A bevy of various crowd control, buff, debuffs and healing p0w34. Bonus points for nifty looking Hentacles + Green Clouds of radiation.

It's been a wet dream of mine for awhile now. Trick Arrow for corruptors makes me tingle in all the right (or wrong) places. Poking around the forums, it appears we won't be getting it with the next wave of power expansions. Should I just suck it up and roll a TA/Rad Defender?

Big fan of Elec/MM/Elec and Elec/EM/Elec. Honrable mention goes to Sonic/EM/F0ce.

For better or for worse I try to softcap the ranged defense on all my blasters now. That, in conjunction with hover and a -fly power makes for one hardcore blaster. It's reached the point for me where I hold perma-dom and softcapped ranged defense in similar regard.

It isn't necessary for blaster play but I don't want to go without it.

Aid Self + Immbolize + Softcap Ranged Defense = AV solo capable blaster.

I'd advocate for Grav/TA. Great soloer with fantastic (for controllers) single target damage. Using Propel, Lift, Grab Distortion and the Immbolize gives you a great attack chain by level 8. You'll find additional damage with Oil Slick and your pet Singularity.

Slot your attacks 2 ACC, 2 DAM and 2 ENDREDUX. Stone Melee has long been known to be an endhog for a while now. Be sure to put 1 endredux in each toggle you run as well (save combat jumping).

Could someone tell me if you can run Combat Jumping while also running Rooted?
