That only applies in Pocket D or Gemini Park. Anywhere else it's either 'real' roleplaying, or 'loners who don't talk to anyone else'. Plus the Broadcast chatter.

Quote:Overall we're a good bunch, but considering this is the 'Unofficial RP Server', prepare for a lot of in-character talk.Yes, here on Virtue. By way of Justice. So I'm moving in.
I really dont know what kind of people you have here on Virtue, since those of us on Justice are completely self absorbed and a lot psychotic. Either way, I'll be running around with some new Hero's on this server. -
Going to a movie, so the Junior Vanguard may be under-represented for the first little bit (up to the first hour, but that's unlikely), but I do still plan to make an appearance. Kittykatdance, if you read this, if you plan on going to the event, and if you're still interested, try to spend some time in as the character you apped for the JV, and I'll shoot off an SG invite.

These people in Praetoria need our help just as much as the people of Paragon City do! We can't stand idly by and let a tyrannical ruler crush any free expression - isn't freedom of expression exactly one of the basic inalienable rights your country - indeed, both of our countries - were founded upon? "Avoid foreign entanglements" my foot! We need to bring an end to Cole's rule once and for all! For freedom - from one world to the next!

Quote:Not sure I like the sound of that 'even the JV' bit, kinda sounds like there's something inherently wrong with us and you're being charitableEveryone is welcome, even the Junior Vanguard!
3 more Days folks, THREE! Mark the calender! But I'll probably be there, though (as I haven't officially met her yet and she's not officially a member yet until I do) I can't speak for my lieutenant. (And yes, I'm Canadian ((both IC and IRL)) and still say lieutenant rather than leftenant, to my knowledge no one has used 'leftenant' in conversational English in a very long time, despite what I've heard is the stereotype)

If the opening bid was not such a ridiculous amount, and if I had the extra INF kicking around, I'd consider putting in a bid, simply to have an 'adult' Vanguard SG to go with my 'child/teen' Vanguard SG.
-
To Whom It May Concern:
Junior Vanguard would like to use this opportunity to put out a recruitment call, if this is acceptable.
Thank you in advance,
Lame d'Ombre
Leader, Junior Vanguard
P.S.: On behalf of myself and my team, I would like to extend condolences for your loss. *text-hugs* -
If you're looking for a RP SG, and if you've got/are willing to make an alt that's a kid or teenager (or maybe we'd make an exception and take you in as one of our 'advisory' adult characters), the Junior Vanguard is looking for members at present.

Quote:24 in the summer? Are you sure they're not rendering it in our format (Celsius, where 24, while not 'America' warm, is warm, as your 32 is our 0)?The Maritime Provinces have weather; I know because it appears on the weather maps on my local news here in Maine. It's weird, though - it's always hella cold over there. On a lovely summer day when it's 75 degrees in Fort Fairfield, ME, right across the way in Perth-Andover, NB, it'll be 24! There must be some kind of weather forcefield at the border...

Yet to run across anyone who plays, here in Nova Scotia (that's Canada, eh?). I do know someone who is interested in playing, but hasn't bought the game yet.
-
Lame d'Ombre, or her brother l'Etoile du Nord, may just show up.
-
Laika (Come Home), the Junior Vanguard is looking for members, I'm a new SG-leader so it'd be hypocritical of me to turn down a new player (especially since we were all new players at one point), so if you want to post on the GuildPortal site (see my thread in SH/VG Recruiting forum) or shoot me a tell/email at @Theta in-game, I'll at least consider you.
-
((Lame d'Ombre steps in))
If you're planning to stay in the city once your 14-day visa expires, my SG, Junior Vanguard, is looking for members. We're... I'm planning for us to be a tight-knit group, much like the Young Phalanx and other similar groups. So far it's... just me. -
So my graphic-design skills on a computer suck, and I don't have a scanner to scan in anything I draw by hand (or a tablet to let me draw by hand on the computer), so I figured I'd put out a call to the rest of the community.
Junior Vanguard, a new SG on Virtue (helmed by yours-truly as Lame d'Ombre), is in need of a logo for our GuildPortal site's (or other site's, if I can get the money together to register a domain or talk to the guy who runs Young Phalanx's domain and get him to help out, lol) header. Only requirements: Contain the SG's name, be tasteful, be predominantly blue and white (SG's current colorscheme is inaccurate, but going to adjust to be more in-line with the real Vanguard), and be legible. You will be credited for your work, I'd offer an in-game compensation but I don't have much to offer at this point. -

Great day to come back, what with it being my birthday and all
Haven't been around since probably the last winter event or before, so some of you may not remember me, and there's likely some new faces I haven't seen before. I've missed my old SG, and I know that after this long, if I want back in I'll probably have to re-apply, but I'm just glad to be back. -

My favorite reference is really a tribute.
The exploration badge called "Newsman" is earned by visiting the Theodore Knight building in Faultline. Obviously paying homage to Ted Knight playing Ted Baxter on the old Mary Tyler Moore show.

And through that, to the Baxter Building (Ted Baxter) from Fantastic Four. -
"Jimmy the IT guy"... Sounds like a low-level Mafia - er... 'organized crime' stooge, specializing in gettin' da info dey want from da guys' computas.
Also: keep a cube for me (may take me 5-6 years to get myself trained up and get down there, but I'm workin' on it...) You guys or Square Enix, maybe BioWare too, are my dream employers. -

Shouldn't that be either 'Also Spracht Lighthouse' or "Thus Spake Lighthouse'? -
Starts the day after my birthday? check.
Runs mostly during my free time (which I, unfortunately for my cash flow but fortunately for my gaming, have lots of)? check.
I love this event!
