It also means it's time for blueside to have PPP equivalents. If going red just to get a defense shield, which you have no way of doing staying blueside for corruptors as an example, brands you a villain for all of eternity, the redside restriction must go.

Redside gets all of blueside's pools and never has be be branded a hero.
  3. Going from SSA1ep1 and SSA1ep7, SSA2 will be getting the FP's house back in order.

Going from SSA1ep2-6, SSA2 will be a hero idiotball bonanza with cutdown redside missions for blueside. Manti kills BABs when you get in the way of his one shot at Wade and he tries to miss you. Penny accidentally kills Aurora saving you from a left over Wade trap. Aurora2 is inducted into the FP.

Ms. Liberty joins her new happy family with Recluse and Red Widow. Recluse replaces Ghost Widow with Red Widow, and Scirocco with Ms. Liberty, who is now bent on restoring order to Paragon and making sure a Wade can't happen again, by any means and Arachnos is the only actual 'functional organization' left.
  4. It's been a long time since I didn't feel like a chump at the end of a WWD. The last time was #1. (#2 was delayed blast chumping. Could've stopped the whole plot *dead* there.)

The mission mechanics need some work, but since I was using my tanker standing in the beam wasn't an issue.

It was nice not having the blood of yet another hero on my hands from circumstances/cutscenes/idiotballs beyond my control. Basically, when you want the world to actually be saved send Vanguard not FP.

When they decide Penny isn't working out and need to be rid of her with plausible deniability they know who to send her on a mission with.

I had the same problem this weekend and I had jumped up to Nadia.

The waypoint really needs to be on the doors or enable Nadia when spoken to directly. Trying the door didn't even cross my mind.

If it's a Nemesis grade Xanatos Gambit (or anything) it's most likely Nemesis. I figure the only way a two bit punk like Wade could pull off a ten year plan was if he had "backing", whether he realized it or not.

(And once his role was complete the heroes conveniently drop the idiotball, almost as if he had served Nemesis' purpose and was no longer useful in his current state.)

Way back when I said Nemesis gets a dead States, Wade gets his power, Silos gets his Rularuu.

Lately, where the map shows or where the nav bar points, and where the objective is has been two places for me a few times.
  10. From what I'm reading there's no ignominious death of any heroes, A, B, C, or any list, blueside finds out as much as redside, and most importantly no blatant idiotball, is this actually WWD#7?

I've yet to find much use (outside of TF minimums) of a team on my /dev blaster.

Not much can survive a ~4 min stack of trip mines.

Given that 2-6 were all "good job breaking it hero" I doubt we'll be saving anything in 7.

Rulade will probably taunt the heroes by pointing out they should have stopped him at the Midnighter's club.

The only question that heroes should have is how many more A-listers will they get killed off (and why do they keep sending someone as incompetent as you on these death-or-death missions)?

Kill BABs. It'll be the cutscene at the end of the third mission.

While not explicitly stated Wade's new costume gives hints. Unrelated, brain bleach is now on the Market.

Marketing research has shown Wade to be a wildly popular Villain and will be worked into all future content as the replacement for Nemesis, who last seen diving into a vat of acid. Mender Silos could not be reached for comment.

A good metric to judge the smoothness of a run is how many of the support types bill themselves as a healer (or worse, the dreaded "healor" with two attacks and the full medicine pool and empathy).

Give me buffs and debuffs. Green numbers become redundant through a number of methods.
  15. I see all these complaints about trip mine, not to be a spelling jackbooted thug but it is spelled time bomb.

If people really are complaining about trip mine, well, you can try to pry them from my hands after you walk through that totally safe narrow corridor.

Let the other secondaries be "run 'n gun". Devices can be the tactical set. Devices *IS* this tactical set.

Is having Alpha unlocked a requirement to get into the storylines and repeatables? All my 50's had Alpha unlocked before DA hit and the one character I had hit 50 after DA used an astral unlock before going there.

I second "Incarnate XP solo is slow, slow, slow".
  17. I kinda like the fact that the only gimmick scrappers have is that they don't have a gimmick.

If (and I stress IF) they need a little freshening up, tweak some base values and keep the no-gimmick gimmick intact.

If I have control of my character, I'm confident that I can take anything the game has to offer. It's when the game takes control of my character and stuffs him in a cutscene when people die and I fail miserably.

It's not just cutscenes. I had control of my character in WWD#2 but I could not (cardiac) arrest Wade, a known Rularuu nut and someone Monty didn't want in the club. I wanted to in my first run through when it was first released. It is why I only run #2 once per character. It is the point of ultimate personal herofail. I'll put up with the ambushes of #1 for my merit runs.

Even if the character doesn't know Wade's background Monty does. Although keeping the Midnighters Rulu-shin free doesn't let *them* beat Wade down, they still just stand around like he's not standing right in the middle of them and your character is never told(or allowed) to take *all* intruders down.
  19. Praetorian Wade will curb stomp Primal Wade with a ritual he's been planning for 20 years and then go take down Praetorian Hamidon and Tyrant. Primal Wade will then pop out of the shadows screaming "You fool, you've activated my trap ritual that I've been planning for 30 years!" as he takes all of Praetorian Wade's powers.

The Battalion pause their invasion while they /popcorn.

Just remember your blue Corruptor brothers who don't have a Scorpion Shield analog in their APPs.

You may be an ice cube but at least Masterminds have that option.
  21. Mace Mastery has a defense shield, Scorpion Shield, like Frozen Armor, but without the intrusive ice block.

Now if only corruptors had Chill Mastery or at least a blue side defense toggle...

I'd rather have an 800pt PPP account unlock so I can just stay blue and not muck about with redside at all.

Well, there's your problem. You've set yourself up to remove all the difficulty of the old content. Unslot your iPowers and whip up a SO only build. Now the difficulty slider depends on skill and team composition again.

I'm a bit of a masochist and even I don't find endurance issues, especially at low levels where you don't have enough slots and the things you can put in those slots have negligible bonuses, fun in the least. Running out of end during a hastened burn cycle is one thing, running out of end with your three attacks and two toggles is another.
  24. On some characters it is nice to be able to join (just about) anything.

On other characters they are just speed bumps to unlocking the red-only PPPs and then getting back to life as usual. (Marketing, if you're reading this, put a PPP unlock, like the cape and aura unlock, on the market and I will buy it).
