Yep ... push that content out, Jack. Keep it up and fewer villains & heroes will even WANT to eat that newer content than you think.

I completely concur with you - they should at least give a roadmap as to when content "in the works" will be out, as to not totally alienate the CoH-only playerbase. Although I don't know how Cryptic works, I don't think this is completely unreasonable to ask.

As several have noted, I7 features content mostly for City of Villains (levels 41 to 50, in fact). This is exactly what we did for CoH. City of Heroes will receive a cool graphics upgrade, new base items (Empowerment stations!) and access to Recluses Victory. Its true that CoV received more attention, but thats mainly because we needed to fill out the levels. I had the option of releasing I7 or waiting until we could fill out the City of Heroes content. Obviously, I chose the former. New content should get out there when its ready. We'll be focusing equally as much as possible on each product moving into the future...
For those who have speculated that Newspaper missions are coming to City of Heroes, they arent yet. Thats coming a little later in the year. Id like to add something different to the CoH system
[/ QUOTE ]
I for one welcome our new villain overlords!
But seriously, didn't most of us know I7 would be villain-centric, especially since the current lvl cap is only 40?
I can't blame States for waiting to have something better or different for the heroes vice villians, ie: police scanners vice newspapers for fast action. As long as they don't keep raising the bar in one place so that they have to raise it higher in another, etc., etc.
I have only two words about I7: Pocket D
But I suppose some will always find something to complain about.

Description: Codex Serpentis believes that cold cunning and cold blood are keys to success in the Rogue Isles. Using the wisdom of the serpents, we slither into the dens of our foes, and strike all who oppose us. We constrict our opressors and guard our clutches.
The VG was started by me for my wife and friends as a companion to our heroes SG, the Paragon Regulators. However, being as small as we are, we decided to open recruitment to any casual player looking for other casual players while getting all the SG benefits.
New recruits need to team with at least one member before being offered membership. Age is not a prerequisite, but we do value good personal character, clean humor, maturity, good tactics, and an ability to type without caps lock on permanently
We are a paramilitary-type SG, but encourage any kind of character to join. Serpent-themed characters aren't required, but we definitely encourage any snake/ serpent-themed villian to join our ranks!
We currently allow any main or alt into the SG. This policy will change if/ when we hit the max member cap.
Currently we have no coalitions, but only because we're new and still seeking good alliances. -

Description: Paragon Regulators is an homage to the famous Regualtors super group lead by the Back Alley Brawler. Paragon Regulators are a group of volunteer heroes from all origins and backgrounds who believe that Paragon City should be a place free of terror and evil, and will work tirelessly in order to irradicate the cancerous menaces of alien invasions, facism, organized crime, drug dealers, archane threats, and other menaces, so that our citizens can walk the streets without fear.
The SG was co-founded by Dark Bllue and I as a SG for our friends. However, being as small as we are, we decided to open recruitment to any casual player looking for other casual players while getting all the SG benefits.

We are a SG composed of volunteers and accept any archetype or origin into our membership. We believe that variety is the key to success, and that overspecialization leads to weakness. The more kinds of heroes we have in our ranks, the better!

As far as I'm concerned, I'm very hesitant to label this as overpowered, just right, or not enough until we have a chance to test it. I suspect the devs have QA testing it now, or had them test it in the recent past, to see if it was fun/workable, but actual time on the test server may illustrate actual problems.

I'm going to remove that unintentionally inflamatory part of my previous post. The vernacular was all wrong, and I apologize.
On another note, I'm waiting to see how this works before I start getting too excited about this. Hopefully, it will be what most of the Tank community has been looking for. -
[ QUOTE ]
Scaling means at least two different things within the context of talking about tanks. Invincibility is scaling defense, but it scales with number of foes. In this case, we're talking about the fact higher level villains have higher base tohit, which is effectively an unavoidable defense debuff. That lack of scaling with level has serious consequences for any AT that relies on defense, such as Ice tanks and SR scrappers.
[/ QUOTE ]
That puts it in a better context. Thanks for the clarification. In that light, it must be that the role of DEF in general will be changing.
But to paraphrase KaliMagdalene, I can't wait to see HOW it's done...
Didn't mean to sound flamy, just came out wrong -
To reitterate my post here:
Kind of raises more questions actually.
I thought scaling DEF was promised to the Tank AT, not just certain sets...

WOW!! OMG!!! YOUARETEHBEST!!!
Not really. ED still sucks. Supression still sucks. PvP is still awful compared to the other PvP choices out there(5 million customers=doing something right). The game is awful compared to I2-I3. Almost all the people I enjoyed playing the game with have left for greener pastures, and all you can do is give out more nerfs? Yes, you did undo this nerf, but not entirely. You still are going to introduce it again, just in a different way. There is no reason to play a superhero game where you feel more like a minion than a hero.

First...I confirm that we're working on right now (as in pohsyb in the next room) to add CoV costume parts into CoH if you own both games....
Then we repeal the hated stealth nerf. The reason why: many well reasoned posts. It's that simple. You guys pointed out the problems.
AND now...we're changing the way Archvillains spawn. A ton of forum goers disliked adding so many AV's into missions a while back...so we've come up with a solution. If the team size and mission difficulty are ABOVE a certain level, an Archvillain spawns. Below that, players will face only an Elite Boss. If the mission is set on the first two levels of difficulty, it takes 4 heroes or more to spawn an Arch Villain. On the third level, 3 heroes or more. On the fourth level, 2 heroes. On the highest (Invincible), a solo hero will spawn an AV. Note this works in BOTH City of Heroes and Villains.
In order to incentivize larger teams, Positron is going to add a bonus to AV rewards!
[/ QUOTE ]
Just to calrify: The Archvillain thing is ONLY for Mission AV's, Archvillains in Task Forces/Strike Forces and World Spawns will not be changed.
In City of Villains, Archvillain-class enemies are called "Heroes" and this change applies to them as well. (With the exception of Strike Forces and World Spawns of course).

Hey Chris,
Although I don't play on Infinity, you're not the only one having this problem. Here's the thread.
According to Cuppa on the same thread, this action is considered griefing and is a petionable offense, until it is fixed by the devs per Lord_Recluse's comment. -
Hey Mr. Man,
As a leader of a two small SGs I just want to say THANKSIt's hard to run a small SG with your friends, then try to get a decent base where I can actaully install a working basic workshop AFTER I get a basic generator (25000) and computer (150000), AFTER I pay for the rooms to put all the stuff in. Right now it's pretty expensive - I may need a bsuiness loan, or invite complete strangers that may end up screwing me over if I invite poorly
It was a little different in COV beta because we had a TON of Prestige to burn (I was rolling Prestige up and smoking it, I had so much), but in Live I'm checking the couch for coins.
So IMHO, at least let me make a base where I can start crafting. At least, if I so choose, I can build items to sell and get more Prestige for stuff I want. Right now I can't even build a toaster
Ideas:
<ul type="square">[*] Change the "grading scale" of base items (decrease the cost of basic items/ rooms/ plots by a lot, mid-class items/ rooms/ plots by a little, and leave high-end/ rooms/ plots items unchanged).
[*] Make new lower-end items so we can do basid stuff (lower-end workshops, gennies, rooms, etc.).
[*] Re-examine Prestige earning vs. base item costs. (Don't know if there's a reason why Prestige earning for lvl 1 is the same as lvl 50, but I'm sure there is a reason.)[/list]
Thanks again for looking out for us little guys - anything you can come up with is better than nothing. -
Just read this today, and couldn't stop laughing. My coworkers started looking at me strangely, perhaps they think I finally lost it...
This is the best guide EVER. I may be inspired to write a guide entitled "Your Role as the PL Herder" or something to that effect, since I get asked everyday to do this sort of thing when playing my tank... I must unkowingly be an expert in the field, so I should write a guide as such.
If we still had stars, you'd be getting some. As it is, this post gets a 5 -
