I'd ask if 6+ hours, nearly nightly, of CoH makes me addicted to the game, but I already got that badge, so it's been confirmed by the Devs, NCSoft, and my bank account. -

Yes, we are an almost sickingly nice community of people. I played the 'other game' after having been here for almost 3 years and couldn't stand the community 'there'. Nothing quite beats the awesomeness of these guys here.
With that said... Welcome to City of Heroes/Villains. I hope you enjoy your stay, and you stay for a long while.
My two inf on the subject...
Skip AE (Architect Entertainment), and don't listen to any broadcast messages in Atlas Park (Should you go there after you get out of the training area) and find yourself a team in the zone (Most likely doing sewer runs), and PLAY THE GAME! I cannot stress this enough, how often I see low level, no badge toons running around, confused as they can be and getting sucked into Mission Architect farming right off the bat. There's so much content here it's sick.
I am on Freedom 99% of the time, but I do have toons on Protector as well. Mostly I play blueside, but stepping to the dark side for my fair share of cookies is no problem.

I have an issue, where I hit prt+scrn and paste the clipboard image into Photoshop, or Paint (have tried both), and the image shows up completely black.
How is this fixed? -

I started on Protector almost 3 years ago now, with a couple of 50's, several mid-levels, and a lot of time invested on them.
Due to Protector being a ghost town, and a graphics card that could handle Freedom's load, I made the move, and started fresh.
With everyone I've met here, on Freedom, nothing could make me go back to Protector for longer than a couple of minutes to get an event badge, or vet badge.
It wasn't until I moved to Freedom that I did my first Hami Raid, STF, ITF, Mothership Raid, or any other TF/SF really. -

So, Yes, I lightly skimmed the titles of several pages of the board, looking for anything that might be of some assistance, and found nothing off hand, so I'm asking here.
I've seen people build 'museums' in their bases using the Vet Base Items, and they've taken the small posters and placed them on the inside of a display case that is free standing and away from the wall.
How is this achieved?
Any help is very much appreciated. -

It's always great to kill Lord Recluse. It's even better when he is brought several stories above his usual 'hole' (Everyone had to fly to get to him), and then he gets stuck in the wall and can't hit us, but we can hit him.

As an Emp/Elec myself, I have to ask if you decided not to go after sapping with Short Circuit or do you just use 2-3 blasts of it when needed. The reason I ask is that you seem to be heavily slotted for damage in your build and SC in particular. Just curious mainly.
Mainly, I stay on the lead's butt, rather than waiting to be the last one in the fight. Tank, scrap, whatever gets aggro, and then I'm right beside them, keeping buffs, heals, ra's etc going. It never set well with me, how a lot of emp's (that i've seen, though I've seen a lot of good emps too) use their low hp status to stay out of the fight, and use HO and AP, over HA, HO, AP, RA's, AB, etc etc, one right after the other. I don't like having to be told 'cm' and 'fort', because that tells me i'm falling behind on my job as a buffer/healer, and I certainly don't like seeing a mate die on my watch, because then i'm really not doing my job.
I don't know, I guess I'm weird. -
Okay, first and foremost, I am no good at building bulids. But, I am trying to learn. I do realize there are sets you do use, and sets you do not, IO's you do use (KB proc, Numina Proc, etc) and IO's you don't. I do get confused easily with what should go where, and how to get the most out of a build.
That being said, this toon was built probably 2 years ago, when I moved servers and wanted to get one of each AT, because I'm an alt-aholic (is there a support group for this?). I know Electricity isn't the 'best', but that's okay by me, I just want to get the most I can out of what I've got.
I'm looking for more a pure emp (minus Absorb Pain if possible) with as much recharge as I can get to get the RA's up asap, plus enough defense so I'm not so squishy (like I am now), and actually survive a couple of hits, because I prefer to be in the middle of the action, as opposed to standing back and playing it 'safe'.
So, If I could get some of the better builders to take a peek at this piece of junk I've created, and give me a hand, I would be very appreciative. Thanks

My friend's son is 3, and plays on my account when he comes over to my house. I'm not sure if his costume editing counts as playing (his favorite thing to do, and his favorite color is green, and only green, so the entire toon is green), but he laughs a lot and says 'do it again' when he watches me footstomp bad guys, or send white fire imps on mobs.

@Obsidian: good build, surely works well for farming and teaming, but it's far from softcapped like you said, your highes def number is 24.3% to ranged.
