I just respec'd into the build I have below and don't seem much better off than I was before. The only difference is that in the previous build I had Combat Jumping, Fire ball and Fire shield from the EPP.
I was having endurance issues before.. I couldn't properly throw my controls down without having to hit Transference every 3-4 clicks.
I'm in the same boat, yet still adding my last few set bonuses. Unfortunately the list below doesn't have the current sets since I'm at school and not at home to look at the build.

I did put celerity Stealth in Sprint. Also, I love the combination of ID and SS. but I know a lot of people don't care for ID.

Anyways. I'll repost the whole build later with the actual sets.. but any thoughts on what I have so far?

Basically.. I had him where he was alright, but after reading a few builds, it seemed like the Earth EPP is a really good choice. I wasn't happy with his endurance issues and spec'd. Still having endy issues.. Hot Feet has 2 endredux on it. I have at least 1 endredux on Tough, Weave and Rock armor. I just need to finish slotting those last 3. Short of adding a Numina's Regen/Recov somewhere, not really sure where to go with sets.
I should mention, that with the sets I have right now, my Recharge is great and my Acc is certainly much above average.

Here's what I was planning to spec my Fire/Kin, although I'm not the King of Kinetics by any means so there's probably a few things wrong here. Still, as far as soft-capping on the cheap goes, it's pretty good: all you really need here is Enfeebled Operation, Razzle Dazzle, and Kinetic Combat. I mostly frankenslotted everything else aside from some reasonable +recharge bonuses.

Here's my Fire/Kin's build. The Rech is awesome with FS coming up every 20 seconds or so, and soft capped. There's no IR, and the substitution for hasten (because I wanted fly) is Siphon Speed. End is a bit heavy, but Trans is up every 10 seconds, and its' a rare miss.

Aside from the PvP IO's, the build was cheap (pre-AE), and I still don't have the PvP IO's slotted into the toon, with 3 Grav Anchors missing from Fire Cages.

It's a build that's good for farming, and regular stuff.

Take a look at this thread, some builds there (except the OP's builds ). Expensive, yes, but might give you some ideas.

@Obsidian: good build, surely works well for farming and teaming, but it's far from softcapped like you said, your highes def number is 24.3% to ranged.

I cannot open Obsidian's build at the moment but I am willing to bet that the soft-capped is for Smashing/Lethal as that is the standard soft-cap that people go for on a farming Fire/Kin.

Well, I wrote 'your highest def number is 24.3% to ranged'. That means all the other def numbers are lower. S/L for example is at 17.4%, the others are in the 20% range.

Not that I think all builds should be softcapped to anything, just pointed that out because she said it was softcapped.

Well.. it would be difficult for me personally to not have IR.. but I could go without SS if I have IR slotted up a bit more than 1-2.. maybe 3 slotted with 1 recharge, 2 jump speed.

I've read thru that thread which is where I got my idea to respec.. however I think I picked a bit from different builds and didn't come up with a great solution. Even with transference coming up every 10-12 seconds, Im still having end issues.. I don't have the problem on my Ill/Kin though.
