That's been happening since I 21 went live apparently. And yes it should be fixed; as cool as it looks from a distance, close up it makes it nearly impossible to see anything since half the time your viewpoint is inside a leg.
-
Those are good suggestions, but take some time to mature. For something that matures earlier, there's a Fire/Storm or Ice/Storm Corruptor. Or for less raw damage but more knockback, Energy/Storm; some teams hate knockback, but it's fun and no one will complain while you are solo.
-
One other thing; it can take resistance sets so you can use it to slot those for the set bonuses/steadfast -kb/etc without having to take resistance based armor later.
-
I skipped Empty Clips on everything but my DP/Energy Blaster; I understand Boost Range makes it much better. Pistols I'd definitely keep on a Blaster (since they can use it mezzed), but I could see dropping it on a Corruptor.

I've occasional considered a "Leader" AT. They'd have Mastermind pet sets, but the personal attacks would be replaced by the standard three armor toggles. Their other powerset would be attacks rather than buffs/debuffs. Their inherent would be combination of Mastermind Supremacy and Tanker Gauntlet; you're supposed to get in the thick of things and keep the mob's attention.

I think you mean "new ATs"; and the answer is a definite maybe.
The Devs have said that they are open to the idea of new ATs, but haven't said that they are planning any in the immediate future.
-
You might also replace Spectral Wounds, since Doms have a secondary for damage.

Quote:That seems implausible. Stalkers are a minority too, and they got Ice Armor. And the safe, minimum effort thing to do would have been to just port Illusion more-or-less as is to Doms. Instead they have more than once stated that they have something new coming later instead of proliferation for Issue 21. I doubt they would set themselves up for a backlash by leading everyone on like that. They could have given us anything, and it'd have been more than what they gave us. It could be that this is a minority-of-a-minority effect, where, as such a small population, anything that is done has to be weighted against the fact that only a small number of players will be impacted by it positively, or it could be that they're planning for something that involves new art assets and significant new mechanics.
I believe it is the former. -
For Poison in general, if you are heavily reliant on your pets and don't intend to take Tactics, you might consider taking it or having an alternate build with it just to deal with confusions. It's rare but Succubi, Lilitu and some of the new critters use confusion and that can be disastrous for pet users, especially MMs.
Plant/Poison however isn't very pet-centric. -
Shield Charge does significantly more damage on Scrappers*, and Against All Odds boosts their damage more.
*Something to do with it being a pseudopet; the same goes for Lightning Rod from Electric Melee, which also uses a pseudopet. -
Well, it's my understanding that Fiery Aura works better on Brutes; so if you go StJ/FA you should go Brute.
-
Just for the heck of it I went and made two more alts. A leather jacketed StJ/Elec brute named Arc Fist, and a minimum height bunny girl named Rabbit Punch. She's StJ/SR, and according to her bio she's "the product of a mad scientist's experiments involving genetic hybridization and super serum. These experiments had two results; a new superheroine, and him becoming possibly the first scientist ever beaten senseless by his pet rabbit."

Quote:That's supposed to be Fire Blast's specialty however; doing more damage than everything else, at the cost of having no secondary effects to aid survival. A Fire Blast set that did the same damage as Beam Rifle would be inferior to Beam Rifle.Edit..
After looking at fire blast a bit more, blaze is just so out of whack that it also needs to be nerfed. Its animation time versus the damage it does make every other blast set look like crap. Beam even with disintigration going cant get close to fire blasts high DPA of blaze. -
Quote:Another patch, and still this isn't fixed. *sigh*
Is it even listed in the known issues?Quote:Got this the other day with my female soldier. When I first got it I ended up stuck with the all black male as my second costume. Just got her up to being a Crab and I was hoping that might force the male costume to change back, but no luck. I did get an error message saying that the costume had invalid parts and I'd be forced to change them, but it did nothing to actually fix the gender switch. Maybe they're looking at it? I still haven't found it on a list of known issues anywhere. This sucks.

Quote:Which is why I have a tab with NPC Dialogue and Captions in it. If I miss something, ta-da it's there.Precisely. This is something that right pissed me off in First Ward most recently. I wanted to know what was going on, but I just couldn't read fast enough. Why? Well, I was seeing caption text in two yellow boxes, caption text in two red boxes and four speech bubbles on-screen at the same time, all the while I was fighting for my life. I can't read that fast. I don't know anyone who could. Moreover, I don't know anyone who can read that fast while multi-tasking between reading and playing what is a fairly complex game. I cannot keep up.

Miss Chayne. Although given the costume I made for her, I think I should perhaps have named her "Leather Lass".
-
Thanks for the info! I'll probably make a brute then, I like brutes.

Since there's rumors of it coming out tomorrow I thought I'd ask this of anyone who had a chance to play it in Beta. Is there any significant advantage in taking it on a particular AT, like the way Fire Armor is better on Brutes and Electric Melee is better on Scrappers? Or is it a power set that can be taken with no particular disadvantage on whichever AT I like best?

Bots/FF. Bubble them up and just let the bots blast away at everything.
