1. Remove Suppression in the current form and change it to Tribhavok's suggestion.
2. Remove DR.
3. Remove Heal Decay.
4. Give us back Mez Protection and provide X amount of Mez Resistance to ATs without Mez Protection.
5. Put back -Max Run Speed.
6. Closely look at EACH AT and power with PvP in mind.
7. Make improvements to underperforming sets and powers.
8. Allow us to customize our powers attack types (ST, Cone, Targeted AoE, PBAoE...) and secondary effects.
9. Improve Endurance Recovery.
10. Rep cash-in system to purchase PvP IOs.
11. Turn off broadcast chat in PvP zones.
12. Buff pet movement speed.
13. Remove the PvP Resistance bonus and keep the damage holes closed in our "shields".
14. Provide free enhancements to all Fight Club Police members.
15. Consult macskull prior to any additional changes.
16. I will have more suggestions.
17. After a Fight Clubber is arrested by the Fight Club Police have them transported to jail with a 30 minute locked in timer.
18. Create Fight Club Police badges with ranks for X amount of arrests. Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Inspector, Chief...
19. PvP server.
20. In addition to signature Heroes and Villains spawning in RV, I would like to see random red names appear as well.
21. I would like to see the statue of Atlas or Recluse animate and attack the faction that has lost. Also, have the dimensional reset occur only after the animation has been defeated.
22. Leader boards would be awesome.
23. Statues to commemorate the current 1st place Heroes and Villains on the leader boards.
24. The Endurance Recovery boost icon should be named [END]REITANNA.
25. All Hide, Invis and Stealth activation animations should be like Reiraku's forum avatar.
26. We might be able to totally trash Suppression if we can change the secondary effects of our powers!
27. Change Blaze to Galactic Blaze because it sounds cooler.
28. If you can't provide a PvP server at least give out free transfers to the Fight Club Police force and Sharker Quint so they can maintain order and arrest some of the most wanted and annoying outlaws.

OK so far on 4 toons solo I have received a PvP IO roughly at the 400 reputation mark. If I were to evenly split the reputation denominations of 1s and 5s that works out to 240 kills. I'll low ball it to 200 kills per recipe for the sake of conversation, but even so... 200!
What have your experiences been?
Do you feel the issue/bug with low PvE drop rates are also affecting PvP drop rates?
Any ideas for the Devs to make some improvements in this area?
I personally feel the entire PvE and PvP reward systems could use a look over and revamp, but what are your thoughts on having a reputation cash-in system similar to the merit reward system? -

Now that I think about it, I really feel bad for Castle. I'm sorry for any negativity from myself or others due to the PvP revamp forced on your shoulders with such a limited time frame to work with. Hopefully after GR we can see some good improvements for PvP. -

The rush to RV on Freedom is called server transfers. The current numbers are comparable to pre I13 but don't forget the dip in population during the transitional state. Also, the increased number of fight clubbers in RV does not count. Overall the PvP population for CoX has decreased. Please start looking at things beyond our server.
Sorry but some ATs can still get 2-3 shotted.

PvP is foreign to new players. They are already fighting at a great disadvantage due to lack of experience and now let's add the following to that equation... Suppression, DR, Heal Decay, Mez Res only, removal of -Max Run Speed, Phase Combat, build inexperience and lack of appropriate information on Mid's to plan a toon properly. Macskull and Warface both got it right. When we looked at how the PVP system was going to work with a rewards system, the result was pretty nasty. It's a massive oversimplification, but normal players could not compete with experienced PVP'rs, which wasn't much fun for the normal players.
PVP needed to be reworked so a normal player had a reasonable chance of beating an experienced player. Otherwise, normal players simply will not play if they have no chance of winning. Ending the /threadjack there though.

Did you ever stop to think that it is more difficult to learn about PvP in the zone as opposed to finding a friend and learning the basics in a safe and controlled environment like the arena?

lol that's me. My farming toon in RV was Ka Faraq Gatri. He use to get SO angry that 99% of the reds in RV left me alone because I was only there to farm NPC's. The majourity of villains that played in RV were my friends and as such would let me do my thing. Twixt hated this and would go out of his way to grief me and insult me in broadcast.
Half the time I just ignored him but every once in a while I would toss out a comment just to further frustrate him. Eventually he realized he wasn't getting to me and that no matter what he did he couldn't persuade the villains in the zone to attack me so he actually put ME on ignore lol Clearly this was part of his 'research' or something. I'm dismayed I was never mentioned in his 'report'

Somebody has a pretty dynamic style of gameplay.
A farmer/fight cluber who complains when being bothered while farming and fight clubbing but... says the arena is for 1v1, uses ncps to fight, calls people and uses words like "male genitalia", "negative word used to describe homosexuals" and lastly "one of the least desirable words for sex".
Let's not forget that somone around here posted a flame of Twixt in the Freedom section that was modded/deleted.

It is attitudes like this (and lack of game knowledge) that have caused some of the community to look down on Twixt. Some of you who have been complaining have not PvPed, don't know the PvP rules, follow hear say only, neglect the fact that you have had your fair share of negative comments on these boards and ingame.
Twixt's methods are being looked at but that does not discount the points/goals of the paper and it is pretty clear (looks at some in the community) that Twixts obsevations were correct.
I'm loving this community of angels-who-do-no-wrong and would rather try to burn someone at the stake then admit the above to be true.

Yes Twixt knew how to PvP quite well on his LOLMelee. Yeah and no Phase on the toons I had seen prior to I13. He had superior skill, tactics, knowledge and timing.
Recently in the Freedom section of the boards someone started a thread to grief Twixt (you know who you are) and M3z popped in and said something along the lines of "I'm a better PvPer then anyone posting in this thread and Twixt was the best thing that happened to PvP" or "Twixt is a Beast". Sorry the thread was deleted and only M3z or those who remember can confirm it. -

There is nothing wrong with that.
Some take it to the extreme by making sexual, racial and other offensive comments but that was not Twixt. Obviously what he did never got him perma banned from the game after all these years despite complaints so moot point.
As I have said, what he put in his paper was enough and appropriate. Yes he could have added more but that would have changed the point of the paper or gotten it off track. I'm sure when he writes a book on it there will be more information like that but the paper addresses the topic as needed. -
Fire is a prime example of a person who would petition Twixt and grief him after being TPed into base drones.
There are many poeple in PvP zone who are like this in various ways.
These are perfect examples of the people in Twixt's paper.
They do not now how to PvP. They do not know the rules. They follow the social acceptable norms of PvP in the zone to suit their purpose. They pay money for a game but don't know the rules or how to play it.
All of that makes for an interesting research project for sure. -
