Intelligent AI on mobs (mobs actually trying to do something other than fiddling with a locked car )

Inadvertently I think the Super Trolls were a step in the right direction I all they needed to do was actively start to attack things or have them wander round and “join” other groups and start to do a bit of looting with the odd fiery torch and perhaps a pitchfork or two.

Get some recognition / reward for helping the NPCs out when there in bother, there getting creamed you step in and don’t get so much as a thank you when they resume there patrol. Even the civilians do that and a small reward

Perhaps a PVP system similar to wows where you can elect to participate by setting a flag or if you attack your auto flagged on!

A PVP system utilising the Rikti code so you’re evenly matched ….no ganking

Move variation on mission type/maps caves are nice but not when you enter an office door

Allowing all alts to share the payroll and drops seems silly to still have to swop via a third party after all this time or allow an in game email system and “post” to your self a good in game money soak for the devs!

More rampaging monsters doing there thing…..would be nice to see a GM pick up cars people etc and throw them about a bit extra points for catching them

I for one would not mind some other forms of fly and jump animation never use TP on the whole but that too, rocket boots and jump boots go somewhat in the right direction especially for Tec/Inventions, the raptors show how it could go forward a few different models to choose from in the costume creator …jobs done

Ah but once you have played a game were the world is “alive” that lack can be quite telling.

When I was last on wow 8/9 months ago on a mature server the capital city’s were positively crawling with people, the only place that seems to even start to crawl is Atlas you don’t see much in the way of dense player numbers anywhere else really even portal can be quiet compared to Atlas.

Teams can be a problem on villains at least until to stumble into the 40s once in that happy band pugs seem a lot more common …fingers crossed so far anyway.

It has been stated before, think it was Bridger but I stand to be corrected, that the name per say would not necessarily be a problem in a merge.
Personally I think the idea of a merge is a good one I for one would like to see more people running round the maps but with the issue of ….cough “lag” would be the killer the servers seem to struggle now with a thinner client base shall we say, god help us all if the servers actually had a heavy load on them.
In fact it would be interesting if everyone logged into one server one evening just to see what the effect could be system melt down perhaps
As for everyone on one server its already been done… beta COV the golden days playing with the yanks all on the one server until it was split for “further testing”
A lot of the separate servers seem to be an arbitrary choice, I for one would love to know how the decisions made as to population level to server availability.
What would be interesting, now the limits been taken off the servers for the number of alts you can have there would be the ability to swop “un-used” slots to another server I personally only play Defiant/Union there are two servers worth of slots I would love to move to a more usable location for myself

Well the C++ runtime error is your biggest clue try Googling the error text exactly as its displayed, Vista is trying to tell you something the question is what .

Check all of your drivers are up-to-date especially the Graphics ones but it could be anything so do them all being a new PC does not mean its drivers are its components could have been on a shelf for a good 6 months before being built.

If you have two sticks of 2 gig ram you could try removing one of them, if you have anything else installed sound cards etc if the diver updates does not help then removing all of them may help even if you play the game without sound and it still crashes its all eliminating the many potential conflicts the PC has.

When it crashes have some diagnostic software installed and see how hot things are running CPU and GPU if your good with a finger try having the side off and touch the heat sinks NOT the boards themselves the graphics cards heat sink can be hot as in uncomfortable but not burning hot same as the CPU heat sink.

A small query your saying you’re not using a TFT monitor have you tried setting your desktop to the refresh rate your seeing, that’s to say the 85Mhz
If the monitors an old one it may not have that refresh rate on it?

Other than that FFM the resident Vista Guru seems to have the other angles covered
