The 'Pre-ED' value mids shows is what the enhancements you have actually add up to, the regular percentages show the applied amount after ED is taken into account.

The colors represent how much ED is affecting that paricular stat.

    White = No ED
    Green = Stage 1 ED
    Yellow = Stage 2 ED
    Red = Stage 3 ED

More advanced explanation of ED here, along with how ED affects each schedule of enhancements: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Enhanc...iversification
Okay great. Been away for a few years and catching up on things.

    Depends on the server.

I PVP with my KM/Nin stalker on Freedom quite often.
  3. I'm trying to better understand what "Pre-ED" means in Mids.

What do the different colors (green & red) indicate?

    Thanks!

The purple sets can easily be sub'd out for cheaper sets that give recharge bonuses.

    Brute Build...

Been out for a while and I'm just looking to roll a solid zone PvP Brute.

    Thanks in advance!
  9. God I've been waiting for something like this.

My main is supposed to be native american, I've done my best to make him look the part but some headdresses or even a few feathers for his head would be great. But some kind of loin cloth, moccasins and a few other things would be great.

I rolled a new SD/WM Tank that is supposed to be an Aztec Jaguar Warrior but really hard to have him look the part without some sort of native/indigenous gear going on.

For me, its all about concept. My character Sunforge is a mutant who has the ability to harness the power of the Sun (Fusion). I colored the Radiation powers all to match the Orange/Yellow of the Fire powers, so they have a cohesive look, and wow do the Rad powers look good like that. The original character was planned to be Fire/Fire, but having played that combination in the past I knew there were no "hard" control powers like holds. This is what led me to look at other sets with actual "controls" in them.

Dual Pistols has a control in it, so you will have that added benefit, along with a "crashless" nuke and the whole set seems geared to play "in melee range". Odd for a Gun powerset, but eh, it looks cool.

Let us know how these (this) character progresses for you.
Yeah, the concept is big for me. I used to be against combining different things that didn't seem to mesh well aesthetically like Radiation and Fire but with the ability to change the colors, I really don't care about that any more.

I got my DP/Fire blaster to 12 last night, so far, my only concern is I feel DP lacking in the damage area. I don't have Swap ammo so I'm not sure if the other ammo types change all that or if it just changes as you progress. Gonna get this toon to 14 and try the Rad/Fire blaster I made.
  11. Guess I gotta move a toon to Champion and Freedom.

And to each his own, I loved zone pvp. At its height, it was just super fun and there was a little community which I enjoyed.

I liked the free-for-all aspect of the zones.
  12. Ninja_Zero

    Blappers

    Hey guys.

    So I rolled a Rad/Fire and a DP/Fire last night.

Honestly, /Fire is definitely what I want, next to Nrg & Elec, its the most 'blappery' but more of an AoE base which I don't mind.

I'm a bit torn though, not sure which I should stick with.

They're both tons of fun and I'm just totally in love with X-Ray Eyes (coolest looking attack) and the damage was a lot more than I had expected. I also like the flashiness of DP.

    Brute Help!

Its nice having High & Superior attacks so early. Really helps out when Rage starts building up. One shotting minions or some Lts is never a bad thing
  14. Ninja_Zero

    Blappers

I think I'm going to try that out. Rad/Fire sounds fun.

Yeah, I know the thought of a Blapper w/o Nrg or Elec sounds crazy but I've got EM & ELM on other characters and just do not want to play them again.

/Fire or /Ice were what I had been considering.

I had a Fire/Fire Blaster a while back and I did like all the AoE but it was a bit hard to manage with all the aggro.

Anyone have any opinions on Rad/Ice?
  15. Ninja_Zero

    Blappers

I know that /Nrg & /Elec are the kings for blapping but how would the rest rank after those two?

Looking to make another blaster but I don't want to use Elec or Nrg.

    Thanks in advance!

  17. So PVP is still alive?!

I'm on Infinity and haven't found a soul in the zones.

How often are people in the zones and which ones?
  18. Been gone for a while and not up to date on all the changes but I played two stalkers, a Spines/Nin and EM/Regen and EM/Regen worked best for me as far as survivability goes.

My reasoning is that EM does so much damage and also allows for a bit of control with the stuns. Also, the having fast healing and two different heals helps.

If I was caught in a bind with one npc, I'd placate and heal and strike when ready.
  19. 20ish is where it got real fun for me.

I have two Corrs. I have an Ice/Rad and Fire/Kin and they're beastly.

All the debuffs you get from Rad combined with the damage from Ice is a great combo. You debuff npcs for your team and yourself, you can buff and heal your teammates and also still do tons of damage. Its a real versatile build.

The Fire/Kin is pretty much the same deal only not as much debuff but its got cool perks like a great heal for those near the enemy you anchor off of and the speed/stamina buffs are great as well.

And I agree with what most said, the builds you chose are going to be challenging.
  20. Ninja_Zero

    Brute Help!

Thanks for the advice guys. I ended up parking the Kin/WP brute and have been playing the WM/SD brute non stop. WM is really kicking A and taking names, I like the attack chain so far. Also, haven't really run into too many problems with SD so far and I will be sure to grab purps before I enter a mission.

Refers to an player character who is a Blaster archetype, but plays more like a Scrapper by using melee attacks from their secondary power set a lot more than their primary power set of ranged attacks.

Now as you know, your secondary is not nearly as powerful as your primary. You have little to no defense. So you are telling me that you would go through 50 levels playing a weak scrapper? I bet you get your debt badges rather early.

Is CoX that boring to make a weak AT? Don't get me wrong, I like to do challenging stuff too. That's why I moved from WoW to CoX for more of a challenge
Its all preference but to be honest, for me, blasters are the most exciting because you are always teetering on the edge of death and doing major damage. I miss defiance too.

I have two blappers, an Ice/Elec & a Fire/NRG and they're ton's of fun. Its nice to see a Tanker or Scrapper chipping away at something and then I come by, hit Aim+BU and just watch that NPC's health flatline.

They're pure damage, no ifs, ands or buts so I like to play them with a balls to the wall style.

And the whole debt thing, really, if you play reckless you'll die a lot but if you're a smart blapper, your survivability isn't as bad as you'd think.

    Brute Help!

Okay, cool. I was worried I was going to make a below average brute. He's great fun so far and the theme really makes me want to play him.

I also fooled around last night and made a Kinetic Melee/Willpower Brute and gotta say, he's pretty fun so far.

Anyone have any insight on that build?

    Thanks!
  23. Ninja_Zero

    Brute Help!

Just back from a 3 year hiatus and looking to finally make a Brute.

I really want to make a SWAT like character and use WM(Police Baton) and SD (PPD Riot Shield) but not really sure if that's a good combo.

I noticed that Shield Defense is pretty much all Def and I was never real partial to Def on fighter types.

I want to get the pros and cons of the primary (WM) and secondary (SD) and if they work well together.

How is it for teaming? Soloing? And arena?

Primaries I'd consider are BA, Claws, DB, FM & SM and secondaries would really only be WP.

Any help would be great help and much appreciated. Thanks!
  24. I have many but one comes to mind for each one of my Stalkers:

    Spines/Ninjitsu
I got into SC when i got to the top ledge i could see about 10-15 heroes camped out at in the water. All the villains were down in the base doing whatever. I knew i'd probably get slaughtered if i went in for a kill but i wasn't just gonna stand around. So, i jumped in and killed a Defender. Soon, as i AS'd all attention turned to me. Luckily, i was able to finish off the Defender and hoped back to saftey. Just started to Rinse and Repeat after that. Picking squishies off first then moved on to Scrappers. I wasn't as successful with killing Scrappers because they'd heal and i was getting Taunted and hit left and right but i never died. Probably did that for about a half hour then some villains showed up and actually started fighting. Some SG buddies were on Hero side and one came to help me out. He buffed me with some /Cold shields and i got a crap load of other buffs from other Corrs. Then it turned into an all out battle. It was awesome, with all the buffs, i felt like a damned Tanker.

    Energy/Regen
I was in WB with an SG mate (Plant/Thorn) that a lot of people don't like for whatever reason. So, when we got to the platform area under the Globe, people just started attacking him. He starts holding, immobilizing, etc. They start to get his health down and thats when i start taking out people out. Spines/Regens, Invul Tanks, Blappers, Healers. Funny thing was that there was a Mind/ Troller that kept getting the drop on me but it was a slaughter for the rest. Good times. I love reeling them in with bait and then watching them drop like flies.
