Did Numina's in 2hrs the other week (ghosted a few missions), so Manticore should not be much longer than that, would have loved to join as need this one for the task force commander badge, but cannot make Friday.

Must admit, I whinged on broadcast whilst in RV recently that had been AS'd by a stalker. But, it was more of a comment that was to say "I can't believe I got sucker punched" than to have a whinge at the tactics used. That was in a H vs V battle that lasted 2 hours or so, and everyone got faceplanted at one time or another.

I'm in the camp that anything goes!

I h8 it when people verbally abuse others for playing the game, the way they want to play it. Not a fan of tping others into drones or middle of hotspot, but then there are ways to counter this...

As previously mentioned, people do take it far too seriously, after all it's only a game not RL.

What can i say apart from this was indeed the best pvp ive had in ages. Despite being the only controller present for most of it and thus being the obvious target of villainous attacks >_< even more so when folks realised i was an empath i must say it was good time had by all and i wouldn't mind seeing a replay of this soon, thanks to zaprobo for starting this off.

Recently played in RV (Sunday in fact) and teams were evenly matched, when 1 side got on top, the other side regrouped and the balance of power swapped. Hero Team was 3 scrappers, 3 blasters, 1 troller and 1 tank against 2 MM's, 1 corr, 2 stalkers, 2 brutes and 1 dom.... Teams did change now and again, but generally 10-12 players on each side....great PvP as both teams working to strengths....I personally (claws/regen/BM scrapper) faceplanted at least 4 or 5 times in 2 hours. I was mainly defeated by Stalkers and Brutes, but MM's and doms debuffs helped loads... PvP is fine if team tactics used.

Also was playing in RV this moring and a stone/stone Brute took me down in about 30 secs after tping me into his melee range...so anyone can be defeated if they use their strengths correctly.

When I uploaded CoH onto my new puter, 3-4 mnths ago...had to reload from I6, so mine took about an hour on a 2GB line...so know the feeling, keep on plowing on though...worth it after the long haul.

My 50 loves debt now as means I can find a reason for earning xp. My regen normally had integration on all the time, so getting restrained badges etc... was much harder, having fun now trying without it...!

Also think that Lusca should only spawn at one site, that could be randomised...not 3 at a time. Still need the badge incidentally... also have never seen Kraken in Perez...

GM's are definately a lot of effort for little reward! but will have to take them all down, sooner rather than later, as want the shiny badges for me cossie..!

Looking to get as many badges as possible on Sunday in RV, including reputation badges (if enough villains to splat), heavies, pillboxes etc... and wondered if anyone else interested....? from 14:00 GMT onwards

I started playing CoH on the US servers on a dial up connection with no graphics card in late December 2004. I made one US character and then decided to wait for the UK version to come out, so though I played occasionally, I didn't start full-time until 5th Feb 05. Ennil Pwysau was my second EU character and the only female toon to survive a mass deletion after I was pestered once too often. There have been times I have been near to deleting her in a fit of rage as /Invulnerability was hit by the nerf bat too many times.

Finally, though I have a level 50 toon after 23 months of frustration. I solo'd most of the 40's and will freely admit to becoming a bit obsessed from about level 47 onwards. I did 48 and 49 in two days. Solo. (Apart from 2 missions)

I of course made the obligatory Peacebringer and hated it from the outset as I'd messed the cossie up no end. Deleted. Remade and now just need tweaking when I get a few I8 cossie tokens.

So grats to me. I got a 50 and am no longer one of the elite n00b5 of CoX!

just reading about the taskforce on gameamp...and it appears that we need to unlock contacts before task force can be offered (sounds simlilar to karsis tf in hollows?)

The following is an extract from gameamp To "unlock" this task force, you must complete the story arcs throughout Croatoa starting with the first contact, Gordon Brower, then on to Skipper Lagrange, then Kelly Nemmers, lastly Buck Salinger. Buck will complete his missions by mentioning that you should go see Katie Hannon. You can then do her task force.

Is this correct...? When I was in Croatoa recently killing Jack and Eochai for the badges....I went and saw her, clicked on her...and she said that need 6 ppl to form team...but she didn't tell me to go away. (unlike Karsis does if you do not have the mission in Hollows)

Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, I agree on the villains are weaker argument. If for nothing else then because its a lot harder to make and play a working villain in PvP.

Morally...villains have to be weaker...as Good should always triumph over Evil. (Good God...I'm turning into a Roleplayer)

But, I do understand that if there isn't an even playing field...all that will happen is that Heroes will outweigh Villains...leading to less teams in Villians...leading to even lower chances of Villain teams beating Hero teams in PvP...and so on (wait, that's already happened)
