w00t!
Gah, forget it, count me in for this anyway, this is to cool to miss, I'll see how I sort out the other thing -
I too have to bail this one. Something has come up I am afraid.-
Sorry about that mate and good luck with it.- -
Gah, sorry I couldn't make it today, plz let me know which lvls you are to try catch up
-
Plz count me in for this with Nightmarer, lvl 50 DM/SR scrapper
-
[ QUOTE ]
I dont find being travel powerless as a SR scrapper bad at all. I spent a couple of mil on some IOs and I'm actually running 72fps without travel powers, which IMO is quite nice. Especially considering it's unsuppressed movement!
[/ QUOTE ]
I had same idea for a DM/SR scrapper, however, I found out that the extra speed was annoying inside mishes, and it was awful when SB'd, so I took a respec and got the travel power back in. That of course doesn't mean that everybody is as clumsy as me, but may be annoying, speacially on certain maps.
Probably, the combo hurdle/Combat jumping/sprint is faster for travelling with the appropriate sets and easier to handle inside mission maps so I'd recommend to redistribute the slots as follows: swift: 3xjump, Sprint: 3xUnbouned Leap and then Combat jumping with either 3 slots for the other jumping (cant remember now the name) set or maybe with just 1 jump on the base slot, I'd leave both quickness and swift with a runspeed on base slot.
For FA, I always slot it with 3 Cytoskeleton Exposure HO's which is like slotting with 3endrdx + 3ToHitBuff. The defbuff of the HO has no effect here, but hey ho, you save 3 slots and have same effect. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yep, Defiant is kinda quiet. When I say ''hello'' in my SG I get no reply.
Sad really - but it's just life, I guess. People will come to servers and go on other ones - Defiant may be quiet, but it's still got it's shining community to keep it alive.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you mean that you get no reply in irony because nobody else in your SG is logged, then you probably want to look for a more active SG. On the other hand, if you don't get a reply and most of the peeps in the SG are logged, I would try to talk to them and find out what happened to make them behave like that and sort it out with a clean slate and avoiding the situations that lead to that, since that is a very unpleasant situation in a SG. Be warned though, you may find out that learning why people don't say hello to you may not be a pleasant thing to hear. -
I never had problems getting teams in Defiant and, although now I am concentrating more in my Union alts, I hear many ppl complaining about how difficult is to find a team in Defiant. Tbh I don't think that's toally related to the amount of people, I think it is more a matter of people farming inf and recipes/salvage drops which are far better if you are soloing. I myself, when doing radio mishes in PI in Defiant tend to avoid teaming for that reason and afaik, I'm not at all the only one doing that. Also related is the difficulty of arranging "impromptu" TF's and Trials in Defiant. In the days of I9, we all want recipes and salvage to make our desired build and TF's/Trials are a very good way to try get them. For some reason, it is much easier to arrange those in Union than in Defiant.

I couldn't come.
[/ QUOTE ]
Disturbing, very disturbing.
Empath, we are on 10-11 if I am not wrong, if you can't catch up, no worries, I have an outlvld Frostie that should help. -
Ok thx for the feedback, I'll make amendments asap.
-
Well, I have already planned a build for an ill/kin troller. I am a total n00b on trollers, my highest is a 21 earth/rad and my second highest is this toon at lvl 11 hence this build has been made from total ignorance of the AT and the sets. Please feel free to rip it to shreds.

[ QUOTE ]
After seeing the OP's build in the blaster section I am now convinced that there must be a randomizer option in Mid's Hero Designer. The only other option would be that the OP has a pet monkey who plans his toons.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, I take you haven't seen his claws/regen build then. That build is, how could I put it in English... gah, I can't even describe it in Spanish hence impossible for me in English. -
[ QUOTE ]
My g/f has listed intrest in the Sis TF (we must of done something to make her feel welcome) and she'll join us as either the Fire/Fire Blaster, or a MA/Rgn....both are in range, so we'll decide on the day.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tbh your g/f is one of the finest blasters I've ever teamed with and she would be very welcome and helpful to the TF as well as to the regular team.
A blaster who doesn't faceplant even once in a whole Task Force IS A GUD SCRAPPA! -
But plz next Sunday let's start a little bit earlier
-
Well, I am pretty convinced you are not real, in fact I think you are Statesman himself taking us for a ride or something to spice the Forums. For sure, that build can be improved by my dead Grandma and even her could faceplant that scrapper, but hey ho, I am trying to be positive here so lets tr to amend this mess. I know something about Claws but I am not an expert in regen, neither are you, in fact you dont have a clue about regen, hence I am going to give you advice based in common sense. People far better than me at regens have posted in this thread and I am sure they can correct me if something here is wrong or can be improved, I might well have made some mistake since l was laughing that much that at some stages I couldnt concentrate properly. If you decide to go ahead with your last build ignoring everyone, please let me know when you have been PLd to 50 (no way youll hit on your own in this life) and we can PvP as much as you wish, I am the worst PPr in game, but with that build, man youre minced meat.
Not going to say anything about the lvl to pick the powers since I dont have all night.
Heres my advice for trying to amend this nonsense, please avoid us to have to read in a couple months another thread asking for PLing your claws/regen
[ QUOTE ]
Level 1: Strike -- Dmg(A), EndRdx-I:50(3), Acc-I:50(43), RechRdx-I:50(43), EndRdx-I:50(46), Acc-I:50(46)
[/ QUOTE ]
You DONT need 2 endrdx here, you dont even need rechrdx here, slot for dmg please
[ QUOTE ]
Level 2: Reconstruction -- Heal-I:50(A), Heal-I:50(5), EndRdx-I:50(7)
[/ QUOTE ]
You probably want here some rchgrdx and maybe a dmgres
[ QUOTE ]
Level 4: Slash -- DefDeb-I:50(A), DefDeb-I:50(7), DefDeb-I:50(9), Dmg-I:50(9), Acc-I:50(46)
[/ QUOTE ]
You DONT need defdebuff, you see, what scrappers do is deliver dmg as well as taking it.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 6: Quick Recovery -- EndMod(A), EndMod(11), EndMod(11), EndMod-I:50(13)
[/ QUOTE ]
Just 2 words: Enhancement Diversification. It makes useless to slot more than 3 enhancements of same kind in same power, youll be ok with just 3 EndMod here
[ QUOTE ]
Level 8: Spin -- EndRdx-I:50(A), RechRdx-I:50(13), Dmg-I:50(15)
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you really want to dmg foes or massage them? Acc and dmg here are a must
[ QUOTE ]
Level 10: Dull Pain -- Heal-I:50(A), Heal-I:50(15), EndRdx-I:50(17), EndRdx-I:50(17), EndRdx-I:50(48)
[/ QUOTE ]
Here you want 3 rchgrdx instead of endrdx. If you really have those Golgi exposures, may use one or two instead of Heal enhcs, but you want this power up, a lot, rchgrdx is a must here
[ QUOTE ]
Level 12: Confront -- RechRdx-I:50(A), RechRdx-I:50(19), Taunt-I:50(19), Acc-I:50(21)
[/ QUOTE ]
You have much better power options than this one, although after seeing this fashion of tauntless tanks everywhere, perhaps scrappers should start doing it some day. Until that day, youre better off without this, keep your taunting abilities for the forums.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 14: Combat Jumping -- Jump-I:50(A), EndRdx-I:50(21), EndRdx-I:50(23), DefBuff-I:50(23)
[/ QUOTE ]
Combat Jumping is low enough on end and you are a regen. Just the base slot with a def or a jump should do
[ QUOTE ]
Level 16: Super Jump -- EndRdx-I:50(A), EndRdx-I:50(25), Jump-I:50(25), EndRdx-I:50(27)
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless you plan to go hopping in all your mishes, just a jump on base slot should do here, you have more important powers to slot
[ QUOTE ]
Level 18: Integration -- Empty(A), Empty(27), EndRdx-I:50(29)
[/ QUOTE ]
Heal my friend, Heal will do the trick here. Also one of those famous Golgi HOs that you seem to collect from trees may be of assistance.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 20: Focus -- Dmg-I:50(A), Dmg-I:50(29), KBDist-I:50(31)
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed, Focus, please focus in the advice you have been given in this thread. You need dmg and accuracy.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 22: Resilience -- ResDam-I:50(A), ResDam-I:50(31), HO:Ribo(31)
[/ QUOTE ]
Resilience is a passive, it doesnt use endurance hence not worth wasting a ribosome here.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 24: Acrobatics -- HO:Golgi(A), HO:Golgi(33), HO:Golgi(33)
[/ QUOTE ]
OMG, well, where should I start here?, lets see, you will NEVER get healed by Acrobatics, no matter how many Golgis you put on it. Besides, youre a regen scrapper, you already have KB protection since you choose Integration, you dont really need Acrobatics man.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 26: Eviscerate -- Dmg(A), Dmg(33), Dmg(34), Dmg(34), EndRdx-I:50(34)
[/ QUOTE ]
Now, too many dmg on this one, see above about ED. Not a good Idea to overload ONE attack with dmg and leave ALL the restof them without it. Also youll need Accuracy if you are planning to hit the foe.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 28: Boxing -- EndRdx-I:50(A), Dmg-I:50(36), Acc-I:50(36), Dsrnt-I:50(36)
[/ QUOTE ]
Boxing is just an option to unlock Tough and Weave, you have better attacks to use slots in, leave this one with just 1 Acc in base slot
[ QUOTE ]
Level 30: Tough -- ResDam-I:50(A), ResDam-I:50(37), ResDam-I:50(37)
[/ QUOTE ]
HERE, here is where you can use that Ribosome exposure you showed earlier in Resilience, this toggle consumes endurance, a lot of it.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 32: Weave -- EndRdx-I:50(A), EndRdx-I:50(37), DefBuff-I:50(39)
[/ QUOTE ]
If you really think you need Weave, then maximize its defense, 1 endrdx and 3 defbuff should e ok on a regen, for other sets 2 endrdx and 3 defbuff, I personally think you dont need it here, but its not the worst choice youve taken in your build, and defense is always useful.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 35: Revive -- RechRdx-I:50(A), EndMod-I:50(39), Heal-I:50(39)
[/ QUOTE ]
I personally think 1 rchg or 1 heal in base slot should do the trick
[ QUOTE ]
Level 38: Instant Healing -- Heal-I:50(A), RechRdx-I:50(40), Heal-I:50(40), EndRdx-I:50(40)
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong, wrong again, here you want rchgrdx, a lot of it, and heal,a lot of it, 3 each is a must here.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 41: Moment of Glory -- HO:Golgi(A), HO:Enzym(42), HO:Enzym(42), EndMod(42), ResDam(43)
[/ QUOTE ]
As I dont want to start another discussion about MoG, I wont say much here except that you can use the Golgi exposure somewhere else and give that Enzyme exposure to me.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 44: Shockwave -- EndRdx(A), EndRdx(45), Dmg(45), Range(45)
[/ QUOTE ]
See comments for all other attacks, this s starting to get boring.
[ QUOTE ]
Level 47: Conserve Power -- RechRdx(A), RechRdx(48), RechRdx(48)
[/ QUOTE ]
What is right is right, finally a well slotted power. Not sure if you really need this on a regen, but wouldnt be your worst choice on this build
[ QUOTE ]
Level 49: Swift -- Flight(A), Flight(50), Run(50), Flight(50)
[/ QUOTE ]
If you think that by putting flight enhancements in Swift and not choosing Fly as a travel power people will say Is that a bird? Is that a plane? No its Illusion Master, well, sorry to say it, but youre wrong. Just 1 runspeed in base slot will do, come on, you can use this slots better in other powers.
Also, please think about the following concepts:
Health: Good
Stamina: Good
Focused Accuracy: Good
Hero Designer: Are all those funny words and numbers there for decoration or do they really give information regarding a determined power?
At least I have to give you that the forums wouldn't be as fun wihout this kind of builds... erm... I mean "things", that can hardly count as a build.
For an alternative toon, memorize my signature and roll an Invuln scrapper. -
I could have sworn it was also the scrapper, but I'll take your word on that one.
Did I just say that? DOOOOOM!!! -
Yep, it was fun indeed. The scrapper is well known to cause team wipes, as per our last Numina TF, anyway, as he said, he plays for his fun so I guess he won't ever learn, from now on we have a name to avoid teaming with.
Gah, I wish I could make an avatar like yours chin -
Of course I wasn't mate, I just forgot the smilie or something there.
Like in here, see?

Actually your post confirms that there's something wrong on Defiant atm
[/ QUOTE ]
How?
Because we have two different badge hunting/event channels?
[/ QUOTE ]
For the Defiant population level, do we really need to have two different badge hunting/event channels hence splitting the players even more?
[ QUOTE ]
Merge the channels?
[/ QUOTE ]
Spot on! -
Actually your post confirms that there's something wrong on Defiant atm
-
Well, my 50's are in Defiant, my next projects are in Defiant, I started in Defiant and 99% of my friends are in Defiant, PuG's are great in Defiant, BUT...
what is wrong with Defiant? I am working on a lvl36 drk/dark defender n Union and joined Union Badge-Hunters channel a while ago, everytme I shout there "Anyone for a quick Katie?" the team is set in less than 5 min and asking for two or three goes in a row, everytime anyone shouts "Anyone for Insert TF name here?" the team is set up in 10 min and the TF happens, now, try to do that on Defiant and see what happens... -
For a DM/DA, I wouldn't take hover unless you are planning to go strong on the defense side, such as CoD, Weave and/or Maneuvers plus some set bonuses that increase defense. If you are going for a dmgres build, imho, AS will do better for you, even with Shadow Punch together, since the main utility of AS is not the dmg delivered but the dmg mitigation.
