Is it OK like that or should I get rid of Fallout, Psionic Tornado and Super Speed (couldn't think of anything else here) and go for Leadership Assault/Tactics/Vengeance?

Or none of the above and the build sucks?

Regen is easy, and at higher lvls just sucks, in fact sucks all the way. DA is tricky and I wouldn't recommend it for a first scrapper.

Please tell me why Regen sucks in the higher levels...

    Scrappers.

BS/Regen is the easy mode. BS/SR is the fun mode. BS/DA, now we're talking.
BS/DA would be best imo, although I don't like to recommend DA to a first time scrapper and the endurance issues are high.
For fun, I'd suggest DM/SR, definitely the funniest scrapper I ever had.

DA isn't hard, it's just different. I wouldn't consider Inv or Regen to be "easy" either. Regen is certainly more forgiving than other sets in the mid to late teens but that's about it, fighting an EB later in the 40s as a Regen can find you rapidly running out of clicky heals at the wrong time and you take All the damage all the time. Inv, SR and DA are all equally as End fiddly until Stamina comes into play. DA is very effective once it's gotten going properly and the box of tricks it has by 38 gives you some excellent indirect damage mitigation.

Anyway, enough of silly Invul', why not try Kat/Dark and be your own Fluffy with a razorblade.
If you can put up with the early Endurance issues you'll make good in no time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's exactly why I didn't recommend a DA, not sure it's the best choice for a first time scrapper. If OP wants to go the easy way, regen or inv, if he wants something challenging and fun, then SR. DA may bring him too close to frustration, still, if he wants DA, I'd go for claws/da to minimize the end issues.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So thats why my first character (DM/DA) took 500 hours to get to 50 eh? :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is it a lot? I have no idea, I never timed my toons.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Unstoppable isn't so cool when crushing or near psi-attackers.
Must be used wisely or else will delay team's progress.

    [/ QUOTE ]

True, it's useless against psi foes, it won't do anything to resist psi dmg plus you risk it to drop in the middle of the fight.
The Clockwork King is a specially hard one for Inv toons, luckily, you have rad debuffs and moustache available

On the other hand, if we finish the arc soon enough, perhaps we can do Katie Hannon TF so we can do Manticore on Sunday?
Also bear in mind that in Brickstown we can aquire the Nemesis and Crey arcs. The Crey arc should give us the Paragon Protector Badge just by following it and iirc, the Nemesis one should push us towards the Fake Nemesis one.
Pity we missed the "Pwnz" badge.

    DM/SR, Kat/SR or Kat/Inv are good choices
  14. [ QUOTE ]
In my opinion Presence will go much better for PvE and PvP also. I'm using Provoke/Invole Panic on my PvE pseudo-tank SR build and well I can tank. I'm sure will go even much better with invulnerability. For PvP It's hard to use SJ vs others fly, unless you take web grenade or you have smth like Impale from Spines power set for -fly(which I don't have on claws).

    [/ QUOTE ]
I had Presence Pool on my Kat/Inv scrapper for a while on an experimental build and I respecced it as soon as I could. The duration of the fear in Invoke Panic is pants and so is the Taunt effect. If you want a taunt in your scrapper, Confront will do much better. Also, if you need a -fly power, Air Superiority is great and allows you to get Body Mastery, which probably will be better for PvP (Focused Accuracy / Conserve Power)
  15. [ QUOTE ]
The defence of invuln is actually great. With my build I'm getting 30% def versus all but psi (against which I have 20% def at all times) when there's 10 or more enemies around me. That's quite a lot I'd say.
Tough isnt something I'd consider a must for an invuln scrapper. I dont have it and I prefer aid self anyway (and that's what I have atm).

    [/ QUOTE ]

What I meant is that defense is not the main feature of Inv, on mine it's good bacuse of sets and build designed towards that (plus Divine Avalanche). The main feature of an /Inv toon is the high lethal/smashing dmgres.
The possibilities of the /inv scrapper after I9 are interesting though, 30% defense is what an SR could get before I9 with all the SR toggles 3 slotted for defense plus CJ with 1 defense enhc on base slot (as per old Hero Builder).
  16. [ QUOTE ]
if you don't show that is

    [/ QUOTE ]

We'll probably have to tell him the mission even if he shows
  17. Basically you will need invincibility plus tough hide to negate the -defense from unyielding, which also may be part of teh cause why you are getting hit that much. I noticed on my kat/inv that things improved after tough hide.
You can also use invincibility for helpful defense sets, I always had it on my Inv scrapper and don't regret it in the slightest. The taunt is there to aggro melee foes on you so you can maximize your defense and your tohitbuff.
Just frustrating when trying to ghost a mish, someone casts invisibility on you and you forget to turn off invincibility
  18. You only need to slot ToHitDebuffs on Touch of Fear. At lvl 47, if you manage to get a few HO Lysosome exposures (used to be quite cheap in AH), you can slot 3 of them in ToF, until then, you can use 2xacc and 1xto hit debuff or 2xacc and 3x to hit debuff and respec the extra slots later when you get the Lysosomes.
The rest of attacks you better slot them with dmg, except Soul Drain that needs 2xacc and 3xrecharge (and maybe an endrdx if you wish).
If you are taking Siphon Life (not necessarily required on a regen) you can also use a couple Lysosome Exp on it instead of the 2xacc and 3 heals on it.
  19. I'd definitely get Tough and before I9 I'd skip the two passives, but now I'd definitely take them and slot it with uniques, such as Karma +3% defense or Impervium Armour and/or Impervious skin mez resistances and psionic dmg resistance, but IMO, Tough is a must for Inv scrappers.
Personally I never been fond of Aid self unless you want to PvP.
Invulnerability doesn't shine on defence, it shines on lethal/smashing dmg resistance, but it lacks on other types of dmg, specially psionic so careful with the clockwork king
  20. You will also probably need Focused Accuracy besides the two acc enhancements.

    What If!

Well, I tried for last time at 8:45 Spanish time, 7:45 BST and it gave me DB error, so I grabbed a few hours of much needed sleep.
