Usually telling other players what to do and what not to do is a tricky subject and should be labelled as "Handle with care" which on prior experiences teaming with you I think it is not the case. If I had 7 team mates talking behind my back on Skype would make me consider that I might be the one doing something wrong instead of getting to the point "everyone is wrong except me" tbh.

The day they implement more levels will be my last day in CoX, I mean, like in giving away my stuff and deleting toons and all that.-

I'm sure some people will tell me I'm wrong, but you won't be able to handle all that endurance drain. If it is only for PvE, Focused Accuracy is an overkill, oppressive gloom does not need endrdx while Acrobatics does need two endrdx as well as your other DA toggles. Soul Transfer just needs 1 rchg in base slot, no need to 6 slot it. Also Acrobatics is taken too late in the build. If you drop Focused Accuracy then you'll need 2xacc in both Cloak of Fear and Dark Regeneration, in fact, even if you keep FA you'll need at least 2xacc in those, since you won't be able to run FA full time and if you have to toggle it first and then hit Dark Regeneration, you're dead.

ALL your toggles except Combat Jumping and Oppressive Gloom need 2 endrdx except Focused Accuracy thet needs 3).

Build up, you need Build Up to maximize your damage.

This is going to be an unrewarding scrapper in my humble opinion since you'll be all the time looking which toggles to turn on/off instead of pwning stuff.

I bet he was an empath and this means devs are stepping back and proliferating empathy for Villains!

Hmmm for some reason I see DM/WP more like a Brute set rather than scrapper, but that's me.

DM/Invuln can be a god combo too, although I still prefer DM/DA over it, better heal, +perception and many useful tools to play with, harder on endurance of course.

Spines/DA is probably the hardest scrapper combo to handle (closely ranked with BS/DA imho), wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants an easy going set, Spines/WP or Claws/WP would be far better, great scrappers and not difficult to manage.

Had planned an uber mega set build for my Spines/WP but found out he's doing fine with just IO's so left him as it is, with lvl 35-40 regular IO's and so far so good

Roll a DM/SR and love it forever

For Dark concept, I'd go any of the following:

DM/SR
DM/DA
FM/DA

Can't check it properly at work, just some things came up:

1.- You NEED Evasion for PvE as soon as available. Lvls 30-35 are awful on a SR without AoE defence and Lucky can't fully cope until Evasion. Lucky should be taken as soon as available too.

2.- Why do you need Hasten on a Claws/SR? Your attacks have the fastest recharge ingame plus quickness should suffice, specially with 3xrchg on Practiced Brawler. If it is to have Elude up as much as possible, I think there are better ways for damage mitigation than Elude, I think Hasten is not justified just to have Elude up more often unless you want to slot a whole lot of +recharge bonus sets and try have perma-elude.-

3.- I'd slot health with 3xHeal.-

4.- I take from your build you are not going to slot Sets, hence the Defense strikes a bit low. You have good damage mitigation with Shockwave, which could be enough, but I'd personally skip Recall Friend, Conserve Power and Focused Accuracy (Focused Accuracy is an overkill for PvE, 2xacc IO on each attack should suffice) and go Medicine Pool.

You can edit your card info in your PlayNC account, so I guess you input the details for the new credit card, buy your slots and then edit info again and put the old one back for your subscription.

Can WP hit the S/L res cap with Tough? iirc my planned builds (all with Tough) were about 70ish% S/L res but I might be mistaken with scrapper resistances as usual, I'll double check when I get home...

Same thing happened to me and it was Nvidia drivers for a 8800 GTX. With version 169.25 I has exactly same problem as you. With version 175.16, my screen just went black and not even ctrl+alt+del would sort it. I tried to eliminate by hand all the *nv4*.* files in safe mode and most of them couldn't because pottie said I needed permissions, so I downloaded driver cleaner 1.5, made a clean install of the latest NVidia drivers which are 175.19 and now every now and then my screen goes black and the computer displays a message "The driver stopped responding" or something like that. I guess it is an improvement since it happens only once or twice a day and I don't need to press the restart button, now I "just" have to restart the system after every crash since CoX won't load again if I don't restart.


I think it is about time NVidia gets a decent driver version for Vista.-

Edit: Oh, I just realized you have XP so I guess your problem is unrelated to mine, I'll take my coat...

I personally use Siphon Life to keep my green bar topped since it is not reliable as self heal. It also gives you a few breathing seconds to wait for key powers to recharge or to pop in a green. I'd personally slot it 2xacc/dmg HO's, 1xrchg and 3xheal.

Martial Arts have a 10% base accuracy bonus, swords have a 5% base accuracy bonus. Dark Melee is as accurate/inaccurate as claws or spines (talking scrappers here sorry) problem with DM is that when you miss Shadow Maul, it keeps you rooted while swinging your fists in thin air and it makes DM look more inaccurate than other sets, but on the other hand, Touch of Fear and Soul Drain have a base accuracy of 90% instead of 75% as the other attacks and these are key powers you need them to hit as much as possible (maybe Touch of Fear is not THAT key on a Brute now that I come to think).-

I personally think that team should have breezed through it, but then there are many facors, such as ppl not used to team together, or maybe it was a late run and ppl got tired (amazing how being a bit sleepy can make such a huge difference on this TF as per personal experience), but as has already been said, almost any team playing as a team should be able to do the STF.-

As I have a tank and a couple defenders in the mid-late 30's I guess it'll take a while to lvl a scrapper again

Well, it was done once on Defiant with Xanthus leading the raid, i was there together with other 49 people.-
