I'd say Fire/Kin is faster plus Fiery Armor makes squishy scrappers. Spines/Fire would have been probably the best farmer for the Behemoths mish, but that one has been nerfed so I'd stick to Fire/Kin or, for the current favourite farming mishes, Spines/Inv or Spines/WP work fine, maybe not as fast as fire/kin but much tougher.
-
Same problem here, petitioned and reply was it would be escalated to developer team
-
Anyone tried the new 177.92 drivers? For what I've read same package includes the PhysX software so no need to install it separately. Will try it later today myself, just curious if anyone had already tried it.

[ QUOTE ]
As I understand it, the point's that with merits you can be sure of getting the recipe you're after if you earn the necessary number of merits. As it is you can rerun TFs as often as you like and still get nothing but Pacing of the !*$!!%ing Turtle every time.
[/ QUOTE ]
The way I see this is, you plan a build worth, let's say 500 mill, usually, if including a couple LoTG's, a Numina and a Miracle you'll prolly spend half of your build cost in 5 - 6 enhancements. With this new system, by doing enough TF's you grant yourself these desired recipes avoinding, as you very well said, the legion of Sniper recipes, Teddy Bear recipes, Trap of the Hunter recipes, Pacing of the Turtle... while the rest of your build will be probably paid by the amount of inf generated by doing the mentioned TF's so basically TFing will be the new farming to an extent, not bad, I prefer doing a few TF's than farm a mish over and over again plus it might encourage TF events and teaming. -
[ QUOTE ]
I think the TF/Trial ones will let you get specific rare TF/Trial pool recipes over time, guaranteed. Say if Katie Hannon rewards 1 token, maybe the ITF gives 2, LGTF 3, SSTFs give 4, maybe LRSF/STF give 5 (with perhaps bonus tokens for a successful MoLRSF/MoSTF) - then maybe it costs 2 tokens for a shot at a random rare recipe, but 5 to pick the triple aspect IO from Trap of the Hunter, 10 for a proc from Positron or Sting of the Manticore, up to maybe 25 (or even 50) for a LotG +rechg. That's what I'd expect.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmm, I hope the merit reward system is implemented on a different way, I mean, Positron stated they were implementing this to avoid the need of dong lots of TF's to get the desired recipe, so I hope the redeem cost will be sensible. With a scheme like this (I of course know we don't know anything yet so this is pure speculation, just taking it as an example) for a loTG we'd need to do 5 / 10 STF's or even more TF's of lower rewards hence invalidating Positron's statement.
I am all for waiting and seeing what this new reward system brings, hopefully will remove my need to farm in order to get enough inf to afford the recipes I want for my builds. If well implemented, this system should go as far as encouraging teaming if some tokens also become available (in smaller quantities I guess) on regular mishes besides TF's plus this should significantly reduce the insane amounts of inf needed to buy recipes at AH.
If the system is implemented as the example (let's say you need 5 - 6 whatever TF's to get any recipe you wish) will at least ensure you'll definitely get that recipe, but as the system stands now, by doing 5 - 6 TF's you have high chances of having that recipe anyway either as reward drop, or by selling lucky drops or simply by the sheer amount of inf generated.
I'd like to see the system implemented in a way where by doing a couple TF's you can redeem any recipe you wish since I think that'd be the way to accomplish what Positron stated.
Sorry for having picked this example mate, I took it just as that, an example.
I know I am getting too much in advance on something that we have no information whatsoever, I just exposed my view on how I think this would work most efficiently as per Positron's post while hoping/expecting the system will be great and greatly implemented.
The only bit I frowned upon on the Issue 13 content is the bit about new invention sets I think we have enough plus can't help feeling sorry for Mids recoding the Hero Designer for new sets again -
Btw I can host Skype on lappie for this. Can't host Teamspeak or Ventrilo I am afraid though

Please count me in with Radiant Howler, lvl 44 Rad/Sonic Defender

I thought run through it, defeat mobs, get recipe, sell for lots of inf............ or did you mean more in depth? Well I was hoping for the two FFs to keep us def capped and status protected, the darks to heal bubble and just about survive every fight by the skin of my teath

Should we get shivans? Do we have any strategy in mind? (certainly not me, I'm just happy to try
)

Really sorry about the sewer trial, storm took Internet off
-
Ok with 2 scrappers on team I'd better bring my D3 defender, cya guys for TF
-
Diabolique on my DM/DA scrapper, on that Oranbega map where you find Infernal later in the mission, there I went all happy without Acrobatics but with a couple KB Prot IO's...
It still hurts. -
My main problem with Katana were the blunt transitions between attacks, haven't tried it since the new animations. Always been tempted to roll either a DB/Inv or a Claws/Inv but for some reason I tend to plan my Inv builds with awfully expensive sets, so not sure what to do, roll a new Inv and invest inf on him or invest inf on my (semi)retired kat/inv and see if it makes him interesting to play again.
Anyway, DB/Inv strikes like a great combo to me, a bit tight on power selection (I like to take Inv passives) but nevertheless I think the synergy there is great. -
[ QUOTE ]
The other thing he could do is remove the resistance from Unyelding along with the -def, and share it out to the passives
[/ QUOTE ]
An interesting change indeed, probably a bit radical removing all the res, but removing part of the res and transferring it to the passives (and maybe bump them a notch) would be more balanced imo since it would allow more choice, he could apply one of his beloved "balancing algorithms" that people are so fond of I guess.
Looking forward to see what's in store for Inv.
Edit: Now, what if unyielding becomes only a mez protection? would it be interesting if it become a perma clicky like Practiced Brawler? Hasten not in auto anymore... maybe a good change? -
[ QUOTE ]
especially when you get towards the high end organised teams competing for lowest time/highest inf
[/ QUOTE ]
Lowest time/highest inf teams on Invincible rep?
Anyway, I guess it is towards team composition, the kill all nictus from range strategy on last mish needs heavy ranged damage, hence blasters are most useful there, but I think a heavy blaster team will suffer on previous mishes, specially on Invincible rep while a heavy scrapper team should breeze through the whole TF, Invincible or not and on last AV they'll have to dogpile rommie 4 times which takes longer than the ranged strategy but probably they have saved more time while on previous mishes. -
[ QUOTE ]
how can you get +healing aspect into ranged damage powers?? now i am baffled !
[/ QUOTE ]
If by that you mean you can slot a heal/endrdx HO on a ranged attack and get +healing, you don't, you can slot it on a ranged attack because ranged attacks can take endrdx so you'd be benefitting of the endrdx aspect of the HO while wasting the healing aspect since it will do nothing for you (unless it is a ranged attack that can heal you, like in Dark Blast, but that's an exception). HO's work differently than SIO's, on an HO, if a power can slot one of the HO aspects, then it allows you to slot it since they are not cathegorised as SIO enhancements.
If I misunderstood you, then disregard what I said. -
[ QUOTE ]
Blimey. You people need linkies for everything? I'm not likely to have made that up am I?
[/ QUOTE ]
Did I say you made that up?
The -Def from Unyielding bit was clear enough for me, hence why I asked for a link because of the passives which I didn't see -
[ QUOTE ]
IMO, the resistance passives are where a buff is needed most. Since HPT from WP is better than all 3 Inv resistance passives combined, they're a little overdue for some love. I always take them anyway, great places to slot the +psi and +res/+def IOs.
[/ QUOTE ]
^ This... plus for defence freaks like yours truly, losing the -5% def on unyielding makes me drool.
Biggest fear is what will we get in exchange for that tbh since an inv with more def and more res on passives looks quite overpowered to me
Edit: Wait, any link to this? There's nothing about passives on OP's quote -
Please count me in for both. Let me know what you need and I'll try to accomodate, no toons in range for Eden though so will have to bring either any 50 or a lvl 44 rad/sonic fender.
-
It wasn't bad with WP either, specially being Spines/WP as well as it wasn't bad at all with DM/SR soft capped, but i still rate my DM/DA the best to my experience. Looking forward on my Kat/Inv, done it on my Inv tank and it was a breeze so I guess /inv should do fine, pity he's Katana though but hey ho.-
-
I guess any decently built scrapper should do fine on ITF imo. The contribution to the team depends mainly on the player, I've done too many TF's with soloers who go their own way no matter which toon they are using (although I have to admit they're far worse players when on a scrapper).
We did an all scrapper ITF a while ago and it was A LOT of fun, completed it in 1:42. Keeping 8 cysts untouched on second mish and killing all at same time for a massive ambush was hilarious and I think the rep was Invincible (if i recall correctly, could be wrong though).
Personally, when doing ITF myself on a scrapper, /DA is the best by far imo (heck, even tanked Romulus on last mish with my DM/DA), have tried it on /DA, /SR and /WP, still to try it with my /Inv. -
Also bear in mind that the Performance Shifter Chance for +End on Stamina will boost your endurance although not showing on Mid's. As last power, I have SS but since I have to do a respec to reallocate a couple slots, will prolly swap to Hurdle.

This is how I'd go for a tank. Changed some powers but the aim is to give you ideas for the build you like best:

Also forgot to put Invincibility on a max 10 foes in your melee range to show that while on full aggro, this tank will be over defense soft cap.-
