And don't forget: Alternate colours should be rare and special! Now everyone has pink ice and green flame! My toon should be the only one!!!

Or "How to make finding a group as painless as possible".
We've all done it - sending tells to greyed out people in the find member list and hearing "sorry we're full", "sorry we're doing a tf", or "we're playing as a supergroup". It makes you a sad panda doesn't it? You know it does.
Wouldn't it be nice if the find member list had a table of existing teams? With every member of the team listed? With the leader clearly marked? With space for the team to list the roles that need filling? With the ability to describe what they team is up to? Hell yes!
But why stop there? Lets throw in an Apply button, which automatically alerts the team leader to your request, and provides a link to a profile for them to check your powers and read a description of your personality and play style.
Similarly, there should be a bulletin board in City Hall where SG's can choose to list themselves. This could also have a handy Apply button, and contain information such as colour scheme, number of members, or a brief description. If there's a dress code or theme, perhaps an example costume could be uploaded for people to browse. A small section for notes would allow the leaders to say which costume pieces can be varied or which ones are mandatory.
Sometimes your character concept might narrow your choices of group. Being able to sort by colours and theme, as well as name would be a huge boon. And maybe leaders could add tags to the ads so that people can search for keywords.
IMO this would greatly streamline the search for a team or supergroup. Finding a good group can drastically improve your play experience. I think it would help to increase the popularity of the game, and make searching easier for existing players. -
And if they'd hurry up with Going Rogue we could just pop over to the hero side and get the badge in 5 minutes.

I knew there was a reason I caught a bad cold. Sick Day ftw!

It must have been nice for the villain areas to look good for a change.

Something to do before I16 goes live: Make some new toons to reserve the names you like, so nobody else beats you to them. I've already got a couple reserved so all the good ones don't go during the rush.
-
Maybe you could put a good portion of the text into one of those pop ups that come up when you enter a mission.
-
Wait, that must have something to do with the barfing cyber-vampires the Nazi's fielded during the war.
-
That would be great, I've got a couple of good characters planned already.

Ah, that was the first TF I ever did. I had a lot of fun, but many of us had to do the Midnight Club arc first, and due to a few team wipeouts we spent about 6 hours running around doing stuff. They were a nice bunch. Everybody had a great time, but we were so glad to be done at the end, lol.

I got bored within two days of joining ae teams as well. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the ability to make stories and custom opponents, but I wish the teams were interested in exploring the missions, rather than farming. I suppose I should put my own team together, but I haven't cared enough yet, since I've got lots of other content to explore first.

Ooh, what level is the mission? I have a level 27 (atm) rad/rad corruptor that might be interested in going for the badge. I can normally get on at anytime in the evening (or all day at weekends). I'll be away for a week starting the 26th though. The toon is Captain Comrade.

I had an experience like that today. I was in Perez Park with my level 50, trying to get some of the kill X of Y badges, and someone came up and asked me what I was doing. They were part of a team that came to kill the Kraken. They invited me to the team, and then everyone went around helping each other get all the badges.

You mean they thought they'd better not add it because it might be too much fun? :P
Its not really any different to the barf attacks that the vaz zombies use. But now that I know I can use it in AE, I might make a mission full of barfing opponents. -
Aww, that's a shame. I saw some screenshots of people using it, so it must have been possible in one of the betas - shame it didn't make it into the game. In my opinion the best emotes are the ones that you can involve other people in, and nothing says interaction better than vomiting all over someone's toon.
-
Some useful information to include in those lists would be the super group's position on idle members. I've already had one toon kicked out of the Feline Fighters for being inactive (which is completely fair). If I decide to join another group I'll probably want to pick one that will be a bit more lenient. The reason being that I don't maintain a permanent subscription (I like taking breaks).
If you leave a group does the game still remember your rank and contribution to it? If so, another solution might be a casual arrangement, where I drop out and rejoin depending on my account status. -
Was the barf emote removed? That would have been my favourite emote for sure. I'm guessing there must have been a good reason why it was removed. Is there any chance it might be put back in future?

Obviously the bug is in the target window, where it says you're not in range or offline, yet all eight of you are clearly logged in.
