  1. I have everyones healthbars above their heads so I can buff not in team people as and when and if I deem necessary. Just because someone is not in team they still can be more important alive than dead to the team.

    I wouldn't play it in a team. If its a solo build pve or pvp then ok but for teams I believe that you limit your survivability when you limit the survivability of those around you. That don't matter what toon I am on. Someone in the team is usually a keystone and once you take that away the rest of bridge caves in. So for me no taunt, no true connection between you and AVs, no complete chance of pulling off of someone with a ranged power, no optimum dynamic between you and other powersets. No strong flexibility. Ultimately tank anything with any team make up and keep everyone alive.

    Slotwise CJ has 5 slots in it. I could never do that as its not just the bonuses that matter its what you can do with a power that does too. I would probably look elsewhere for somewhere to put more slots in so that they do even more for the entire build and give reasonably good bonuses before that.

    Give stonetanks more mobility and their survivability is even better. You've said its the single best armour. I don't think powerset balance should be based around what you can do with Incarnate slots, instead the incarnate slots should be balanced around what you can do with the powersets. Mobility does give the other Tankers something of a leg up to survive what Stonetanks can fall asleep in front of, but still instead, there is a gap that needs closing with which it is all the other tankers that need a buff, not the other way around.
  4. Here I've 'used what you got' Bubbawheat just to finish it, then in the next build I've changed it a bit for something that looks a bit more right that you might be able to get done in as little as one or two respecs (you should have 10 IOs in tray and so not throw away any costly IOs.)

    I fell asleep between the two whilst doing it so forgot exactly where I was but its basically using what you've had mostly and getting you to 20% melee def. Melee def is alright if you herd/centre fast and kill fast.

    You could aim for 45% S/L def or something else but it should get more and more expensive. I've respeced out a complete build for something completely different before and in order not to throw IO sets away I spent 5 respecs.
  5. Bubbawheat are you stern about your power choices? I for one wouldn't be without taunt cos tanking AVs with a Firetank and I don't care which AV it is it was never out of the question. Melt Armour is long recharge, end heavy, pants solo and over time not as good as Assault which also offers protection to taunt and placate but nevermind that, what I am saying is I would have something else from the epic to get fireball later with.

    Also my aim with my Firetank would be to live long enough for RotP to recharge as she is so conceptually Phoenix like, this means not being the strongest Firetank but being fun. About yours? Would you prefer yours to be all defensive like because Jericho has made a good start and if you'd prefer to stay with your epic I could adapt that start and change it to match your build more. This would only take me 5 mins probably.

    I'd play anything cept FF cos I'd feel like a proper leech.
  8. I believe it does help in multiplying your threat status but it won't make you the highest threat in the team by itself. Other people generate threat too. There probably is no gauntlet in the power. I haven't checked but I am doubtful there is and would ever be.

    From the OPs post I could of assumed he plays on the Mac and so doesn't run Mids. There is a alternative on the internet that most people don't use and so it maybe percieved as something that may not get optimum response. The OP has had to use Titan Sentinel to show actual build, I've never obtained a build from it, but it may allow mac users give us a build in a program that most of us use, which is something. You like me try to avoid that and as a result I sometimes only like to give up my time when I see the OP replying to other peoples advice, often adapting their builds from the advice given by others. It is then, that if I can see something further to add, I'll add. At times I am too short on time.

    I don't have a problem with you using English. What I think perhaps is that, from my viewpoint I think you are being too quick to judge a person. Some of us read the posts and try to take in the words, without adding words nor taking away words. There is what I can truly know from it and what I just don't truly know.

    Alot of people have concept builds, I do, they may not be considered great but they are paid for and dearly loved by the people who have them. The people in this game come from all walks of life. A player could just have one arm or something personal going on in their lives and need the game for some sort of escapism. It's not carebear like to be forgiving with people who can't live up to your standards its being human like.

    I think you are coming across as harsh. The OP doesnt have mids. He has used Titan Sentinel to get his ingame build on the forums. He said he'd rather not respec but its not out of the question. He doesn't know if he has recently used his freespec and we do not know if he has anymore.

    I will suggest to the OP to look into the guide section, not to obtain a complete build but to take a look at how individual powers have been slotted and to see if the number of slots in a power equals his enough to slot the same way.

    If I posted my build it would mean a respec.

    Bubbawheat are you having fun with that Firetank?
  11. Maybe the runspeed debuff in rooted is overkill and the runspeed debuff in granite is not even a kill.
  12. I won't bother with any non Mo runs so the idea of 2 AVs together would be one of them things that I just won't have to worry about. I'd much prefer more opportunities for other people to get the Mo than farm the snot out of it.

    Team should be on one side. Whoever has aggro turns the AVs back to the team. Whoever next has aggro turns the AVs back to the team and so on. The players without aggro are then oneside and people who get aggro keep it that way.

    Aggro management is obtained by establishing the highest threat. Given that threat rating can be created by any of these things: debuffs, damage, proximity, taunt control I kept it seperate.

    I think things are divided into:

    1) Ranged
    2) Melee
    3) Control Regulation (limiting)
    4) Redirection of Fire (Aggro management)
    5) Force Regulation (force increasing or decreasing)

    A primary and secondary would be usually, although not always mainly made up of two of these things, and scales to the AT.
  15. Again as with your previous guides, all I've read, I agree. However 5 years from now if this game carries on, the way people play, will by and large be the same. People will go in all bravado, leave no time for others to finish or recover between groups and compromise others or perhaps even themselves. As it is now it won't just be scrappers with scrapper lock it could well be anyone in the entire team. Someone will run into the next group before the last group is finished; before anyone else is in the clear from faceplanting and contribute to the team by looking dead further on in the map (vengeance fodder). Someone will open up with a massive KB spreading mobs as the immob room fire controller locks them down lowering everyone elses dps. Someone will try to herd mobs past 6 herdpoints while a team waits. 5 years from now anchor killing will still be a priority to so many people.

    Often the show off with the best toon, is the one creating the problems for those with lesser toons. Nothing wrong with a lesser toon, it may mean you have more of a life or a lucky one of those who through a recession has too much work.

    People will play their way. I can either adapt or log off.
  16. I think that one turret has full line of sight between the barracks but it has limited range then two turrets have the field aside of the barracks so, just go halfway into road between the barracks and only slightly out the front but stay tucked in to the barrack walls.

    Aggro cap is 17. Loss of aggro could be dependent on who you are fighting. Some npcs will latch on to the first team mate they get to percieve. Attacks may miss and taunt durations may get resisted. 13s duration base power credential, on an npc doesn't mean 13s and in laymans terms could mean squat. RTTC duration is bad, the moment some npc has left the aura they could be anybodies add to that other peoples threat levels be they scrappers or brutes can add up to more than yours. Being point could mean you get all the tohit debuffs and the affect is gauntlet misses. Willpowers probably have to do more recoveries and chase aggro in a team of people who don't allow for consolidation. Slap many IOs into taunt.
  18. Between the barracks iirc you should have cover from all but one turret but still there should be somewhere inbetween them barracks a area of safety. Thats where the team should be positioned, opposite side of AV. When I've tanked it I've been where Siege is or where the reinforcements come out so its only as a less armoured character that I have fought from between the barracks. I've had to find that cover and fight from there.

  20. Am inclined to say its Master method or gtfo Time to do master is probably longer than the farm method, but atleast you are giving people greater experiences and greater number of shots at all the badges. There is cover where the AVs spawn and where the reinforcements spawn so why not?

    My beef with it is the way Brutes tank. Honestly make the AV face a wall not the team, keep AV inside of the cover for melee and try to have it so you and the tanks are always on the same side of the AV (as close to having the AV face a wall as poss and the team is behind them. I would try to give the team the space with the most cover.
  21. It's easy for superman to be a hero because he is practically immortal but for guys like green arrow or batman things are different. I'll always appreciate those who have to do more with less far, far more ingame and in real life too.

    I am not going to race my way through or the incarnate system because I am in no hurry to be god like with my characters. Nor be envious of others.

  23. Your limits are down to you, as is your build. Try min/maxing one and people might say well you won't be able to do x built like that and you can then choose your own limitations because there will always be a choice of flexibilities and you just can't quite have them all.
  24. Some people won't like unstoppable, some might not ever work out the crash but that's their problem because their will be others that don't have problems using it and can work out the crash.

    Personally I don't think Invulnerability needs looking at, at all. I play all kinds of tankers and to say that Invulnerability needs a change to it and soon would be, to me, just wrong. It needs to get inline behind other sets.
