    Cool, nice MA/Invuln Pomade.

Transferred my new duel toon over, heh. Tested against Bug's Spine/SR:

    0-0
    0-0

My previous toon vs. Smallz and Bug

    0-1
    0-2
    0-1
    0-1
    0-0
    0-0

It's gonna be a long duel ladder for our Ottawa friend.

I'm moving a 50 to Exalted, reserving a bunch of names and staying on Pinnacle with most of my main alts.
  3. My KM Stalker has had the following last 10 runs

    Rare
    Rare
    Uncommon
    Common
    Rare
    Rare
    Very Rare
    Common
    Uncommon
    Rare

Got 3 rares today, one very rare. Even downgraded one of the rares into threads since I'm not near getting enough from trials and commons drop once in a blue moon...
  4. PRetty much on Freedom since AE launched, just ignore it and move on, report spammers if you feel it necessary.
  5. Nice pickups Artic, hope to see you guys on Freedom soon, PM PF? for practice and such once we get organized.

    OMG I need help!

I really like my Traps Corr. I went Dual Pistols which is crappy but I hear Fire/Traps is pretty crazy, at least that's what a certain former player used to say...

Issue 21 head start next week if you're subbed, so people can move stuff ot Freedom and use Enhancement Unslotters to move Hamis or PvP IOs/purples around...and there are powersets being proliferated as well.

So up to team leaders when they want to get the ball rolling.
  9. Head start next Monday.
    League start date...18th or 25th?

    Spinnel Nacht Spine/Dark Scrapper 50.

    See you in Founders'.
  11. Stalkers are okay at higher levels and with a lot of slotting.
Early on, you're kept out of hide a lot (moreso in Praetoria) and suffer because of that.

I just finished my KM/Regen Stalker, she was fun to play after the mid-20s early 30s but painful early on. Not sure if I would have had the same issues on a Scrapper.
  12. Terminal Lad, sign up for the Freedom ladder. I know you to have held your own in previous leagues, it'll be fun.

Ironically, that creates a rather unique environment for the PvE game that is, by many players' reckoning, appropriate to the genre so long as they keep it at least minimally under control. But that doesn't fly in PvP: its one thing for all of us players collectively to embarrassingly dominate a bunch of pixels, its quite another to create a game where one group of humans can embarrassingly dominate another bunch of humans in odd or broken ways. That presented a uniquely non-trivial problem for the devs: a majority of players got used to the wild unbalanced powers system prior to I4 and wouldn't accept strict rebalancing for PvP, but without it PvP quickly became a meta-game of best exploiting the broken aspects of the powers system, which is not something to be especially proud of.
Depite all the brokenness of IOs, powers and so on there is still an element of skill and practice involved. For example, in the defunct Champion ladder you had two teams that were fairly equal and had close games while the rest of the teams lagged behind. It's always going to be so because you can't "code" reflexes, locking, using the right attack chain for maximum damage output, evasion and so on. You *can* code so that attacks have a result (defeat of one character) and discourage evasion, but that really goes contrary to a lot of zone goals...where it's ineffecient and actually disastrous to engage another player if you are getting a Shivan or nukes.

Additionally, there are just so many powers that to balance them all would likely take a whole issue, and if you balance them while ignoring feedback of players that PvP and use said powers for that purpose, you basically end up with Issue 13, Redux. Not sure the Devs want to go there again, or wish to. At this point it might just be better to revisit some of the formulas and ecosystems such as zones and Arena, add more maps to Arena and go from there. Lastly, it's pretty telling that a subset of the Arena population just doesn't want to use Incarnate abilities past Alpha in group settings, whether because of balance issues or a desire to avoid additional grind.

It would likely take a PvP Dev to get things done but given the small (and shrinking) population, not losing any sleep on this happening.

You say that now, but you're a rabble-rouser!

Roll a grav/ta and a Dom of some sort.
If we pick you we'll have a list of alternate toons.
Also, Glue Arrow more often, you were slacking in the last Boot Camp matches.

    Freedom? Hardly

Right now if I unsub my accounts I get...nothing.

When Freedom launches if I unsub I can still level to 50 and do stuff.
Think of Freedom as an extended trial with MORE stuff than a simple trial account that ends at level 14. You can go to 50, carry more than 50,000 inf (or whatever it us) and you can pick and choose whichever options you like to add to your account.

It's not a bad deal, really

By the way, I have a friend that can't afford CoH at the moment, will be getting the free version and is quite happy about being able to level a Scrapper and something else to fifty, even with limits. Your mileage may vary.
