Quote:CoV was installable and playable as a stand-alone game.CoV is not a game unto itself or else how is side-switching possible with CoH and why have the games shared the same server space, wouldn't a stand alone game merit a completely seperate space so things dont get too crowded?
I and many other players did exactly that.
GR is an expansion. It is not installable and playable as a stand alone game.
Your mental gymnastics do not change reality. -

I'm all over the wedding pack at 50% off.
Maybe the Mac Pack for the power, the Valkyrie stuff still doesn't appeal to me. -
I'll break down and add the wedding pack to my collection if I can get it at 50% off.

Quote:we've got a super talented base designer on the job, but thanks for the offer. Are you guys looking for a base builder? I, not to brag, but I'm pretty good, I can make a good, cheap base for you guys really fast
And in the 88s 6m prestige doesn't even qualify you for the SG top 10. Expense doesn't really factor into our thinking. =) -
Your act would be more persuasive and less obvious if you ever posted on a topic other than the terrible, dire financial state of CoH and NCSoft.

another factor:
you can get nearly any generic IO for less than crafting price thanks to badgers.

if they could wave a magic wand and give us weather, that'd be great.
if it took one second of limited developer time from any other projects, I'd vote no. -
Appreciate the head's up.
More time to get my marketeering in order! -
Gorgeous kitty!
congratulations on the new addition! -
The only way you can hurt the market is if you don't call it the day after a nice evening out.

I seem to be one of the few who isn't invested in 'the devs' as a social entity.
I mean it's nice if they're cool and they pop in here every so often, but I'm here for the game, not the personalities running the show.
It's been my experience in the 'real world' that the personalities of the people who run enterprises has almost nothing to do with how well the enterprise functions. It's a nice *bonus* if they're wonderful people, friendly and outgoing and all that, but I pay for services because the services themselves are high quality, not because I want the purveyors to drop by my house for dinner.
As long as we keep getting high quality animations in this game it's irrelevant to me who does them. -
Quote:it's pretty simple, I'm using a six year old version of Fireworks...
BTW luv the sig Goat I need to learn how to do stuff like that.
(wow...so old it's still Macromedia, not Adobe!) -

Great idea.
I've played any number of really fantastic MA arcs that beat 99% of the 'real' content hollow. -
Quote:There have been several points in the past few years where I'd have let my sub lapse due to evaporating free time. Vet rewards played a large part in my decision to keep it active.I would never have implemented veteran rewards in the first place. People that need "incentives" to hang around, other than the game itself, probably aren't going to be good for the game community, and a good community is better than a bunch of folks hanging around for the next great reward.
A loyalty program that encourages players staying subbed when other games or real life situations come calling makes good business sense- certainly more than applying purity tests to paying customers.
If the doors don't stay open there's no community to pass judgement on. -
