  1. Yes, buts great news for those of us still waiting to grab the higher end 2xx cards. Price's fall when the next gen is released (even if it sucks because of the buy it nao peoples).

Even better, PAX is right before my birthday. I can get myself a little gift on the cheap. Woot!

    BMT Redside

No kidding. This falls under "Why?".

And if its red-side, shouldnt it be BMS (Badges, Monsters, and Strikeforces)?

I've got enough globals channels already that work just fine for recruiting both sides. This just hurts the existing channels, including United.
  3. And thanks for the anonymous neg rep whomever. Woo Hoo!
  4. The only "After level 50" stuff ever hinted at was that villians that remain villians or heroes that remain heroes they might get "loyalty" slots (minor like 2 or 3), but they would be forfieted if you switched.
  5. Failed again.

There will be no third attempt led by me.
  6. Also take into account UltraMode is still 1 1/2 months off. Personally Im going to wait until late late March to make a buy since new models come out and the "old" stock goes on sale. Ill be disappointed if I cant score a 260 for under $200 or a 275 around $225.
  7. You are forgetting Eden. Try running from the Crey Facility to the last mission on Numina TF.
  8. Because some corr for whom I wont name fornicated the pooch on Sat and cost us the badge. I went for the next night that I didnt have something in RL planned.
I really wasn't trying to curtail our friendly rivalry, just trying to get the last non day job badge red side for i.
Gotta keep my badging titles and all.
  9. So do we get a bonus if we complete our Master of Barracuda run tonight?
  10. Fire/ and well anything.

Fire gets its punch early in the form of AoEs and cripling short range hit as well. You can easily go to spawn size 2 or 3 early on as long as you are patient to have all your AoEs ready at the start.

Long term sillyiness would be Fire/MM/Elec.

    Fire Breath (Cone) (Level 8)
    Fire Ball (AoE) (Level 2)
    Psi Scream (Cone) (level 10)
    Drain Psyche (PbAoE) (Level 20)
    Psi Shockwave (PbAoE) (Level 38)
    Static Discharge (Cone) (level 41)

5 Damage AoEs and one -Regen -Rec (foe) +Regen +Rec (you).

And elec has Surge of power, which is awesome.

Nothing thematic about it except extreme fun. There are enough variety on powers to slot off sets on the cheap (Like confuse in World of Confusion and Fear in Scare) plus you still get a Hold in the epic as well as another -Regen power for taking down EBs.

    And I'm done

Thats been the nice side of the day jobs. I could be working them with both my badgers... and still be playing the game. =)
  12. Thats my point. There are ways around the 2B cap, but they require additional steps and really only work from a single server perspective. The devs know the players will find ways around things like that, but from a swapping across servers, this is an acceptable limitation.

Yes you can arrange an elaborate swapping of IOs and money on the side across servers, but the devs figure it would be too much hastle.

The main reason behind my HS call was the ducking out that its a technical limitation. It's not. Not even close.

    Horse-****.

First, we are talking an increase of 32bits of data (4 bytes). Considering the amount our characters already take, trivial. Even on a massive scale of millions of characters. For every 250M characters, thats 1Gbyte of additional space.

The servers are all fully capable of long double math already. 64-bit int support is already there. The CPUs likely have 64-bit data bus already so no loss on the retrieve and store functions.

You dont have to completly open the inf limit to 2^64. Just define a limit to be 9,999,999,999 if you want to give almost a 5 fold increase to the amount the players can hold. Since everything is already 10 digit capable, you need not modify anything else IF they were smart and have a single API package that handles inf limiting vs in everyone's specific packages.

But lets face it, this isnt a technical issue. Its economy. If the max price for something went up to 9,999,999,999, don't you think the PvP and Ultra's would likely also increase in price accordingly? This is not in the best interest of the majority of the players. The inf cap serves its purpose as keeping the economy within certain levels.

IMHO, the solution to this comes in the form of an SG Bank. Yeah yeah, not everyone wants to be an in SG... make a 1 man one if you want to. Anyways, allow a high inf cap for the SG, like 100B. Adds 64bits to the SG info file size. And there are alot less SGs than players. This allows players to store money in the SG but still retain the cap on transactions via the in-game markets. Yeah yeah, people could loot the SG bank, no different than looting the IO bins. Its not a perfect solution, has some API issues to work on, but its something that has been tossed around for a while anyways.

  14. The way the run went was superb, if not for a little slow.

For this run we will run the last mission the same way but with one change:
We will engage Riechs and wait for his call for re-inforcements. At that point we will retreat to the hallway. Engage the spawns there. But once the spawns from inside the room stop, we will re-enter and ingage Reichs. Non-brutes will proceed to around the machine, brutes will engage riechs on the big 5th logo, far enough that his PbAoEs wont hit the non-brutes. This will get the spawns to run into the brutes to keep the numbers down on the squishies. No need to completely eliminate the spawns that dont come from inside the room.

Aside from that, IMHO, team size 7 is way easier than team size 8. Far fewer bosses/spawn. Made the first mission much easier with that many less Wardens.

    Vill Hami Raid

    Definately more notice is rqd.
  18. 1 death vs. Riechs. And it wasnt the LOLDA brute.

We had a great team, 2 VEATs, 2 MMs, 2 Corrs and me. A few red lines vs Numina, but that was really it.

    =(

Will try again this Tuesday 8pmCST.
  19. In a little under 12 hours... yes.

Im off for a morning hockey double header, but Ill be back and rested up tonight.
  20. Swell, 2 chips with the same box number but are very different.... ugh.

I'd have to drop to the Q9450 to assure C1 stepping (only 1 version that chip, 2.6 vs 2.83 on speed... not too much of a step back).
  21. Huzzah! Anonymouse has displaced Cinnamon Red as the lead Blue side badger on Champion with 698!
All regular badges acquired (No Bug Hunter/Passport/Power Liberator).

And I have the Red side Champion badge title as well with 617(618 if you count Lost Savior). 1 Day Job + accolade and MoBSF left to ge there.

    And appearently I need a life. =P

  22. Oh yeah, she's fine. It was just a removal of a cyst and bone spur off a knuckle. Quick 20min surgery. Took her alot longer to become lucid. She's at home sleeping on the couch right now.
  23. so here i am in post-op waiting for my wife and I have some time to think about how "efficient" we have become in everything. Nurses and doctors rotate about like some sort of Dickensian factory. From one to the next, like clockwork. Surgery times are posted like a miliatant work schedule. In the quest for a faster better cheaper system, the patient and personability left the building.

And then I thought about the last few TFs Ive done..... and realized Ive been doing the same in game. Hami and ship raids aside, I cant remember the last TF I actually did, and by that I mean took my time and enjoyed the scenery.

dont get me wrong, I still very much enjoy the game solo because I set my own pace, but when I team, I shift into "efficiency " mode. And I have no idea why. The larger raids' pace is dictated by other factors so I dont feel compelled to fly so fast.

Maybe im just a little loopy from the smell of.....nothing (damn this place is sterile), or perhaps just really bored right now. But if poke abit the next time Im on your team, im just taking a moment to enjoy the game...... that or waiting for teh healorz to rez meh nao1
