yeah totally agree with that, most people don't understand that FoTM are not insta win buttons in the game eg. storm

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ZOMG! u r 2 b t3h kidd0rZ! st0rm pwnz j00 4ll!!!!!!

but yeah, most FoTMs in inexperienced hands will get schooled pretty quick
  2. still would be hard, it either has to overcome stun resistance or be lucky to drop and stun before tank reactivates.. still would see an EM vs Ice in the ice's favor

Well if you ask me in my expirance with playing in teams with the aliens the Peacebringer seems to be the strongest AT using a arry of powers from melee to raged makeing there enemies drop like stones.........Lol but the warshade well thats a differant story they seem like more of a control type there not as good as the peacebringer when using powers and there foes dont seem to die as easilly as the peacebringer

    [/ QUOTE ]

as raz said you prolly never teamed with a GOOD WS. WS however bloom late, and are at their strongest in their 30s/40s. In the 40s i often teamed with PBs and I made white squiddy look weak and fragile compared to purple squiddy (right phil? )

and oh yeah, quit with that whole warshades are a control type thing.. that remark is bout just as true to say PBs are healers cause they got a heal power more than WS..
  6. not really... if i read your text right (though its written a bit confusing) you kinda depict the WS as the weaker of the set. As said before, WS needs other mobs (either alive or dead) to activate buffs while PB can use selfbuffs. However this means the PB got a fixed buff percentage, while the WS varies with amount of mobs affected. Though if the WS affects enough mobs, the buff percentage is higher than the fixed percentage of the PB.

A little example, PB gets buildup and WS gets mire (or 2x mire if you pick dwarf). Buildup buffs a PB's dmg and acc for a fixed number. Mire uses foes (still alive) around the WS to buff dmg and acc (and does minor damage to mobs). If there are only 2 mobs around, buildup will give a better buff than mire, because mire will only affect 2 mobs and barely buff. If there however are 16 mobs for the WS to fire mire on, mire (and especially double mire) has the potential to beat buildup in terms of buffing.

Oh, and WS doesnt necessary need dead bodies to heal. Stygian circle uses dead bodies to regain hp and end thats true, but human and dwarf form of WS get a HP drain power as a self heal.

Basically the main difference has been discussed, WS relies on others to buff and therefore can be tricky to play, while a PB uses self-buffs.
  7. apart from the fact wet ice is a great mez resistance and an EM has to work hard to stun
  8. grats bud, now quit PLing
  9. agree with the points you made lost, and I prolly havent put myself clear. I dont expect stalkers to scrap, I am ok with the fact that their main damage is dealt up front and the longer they stay, the lower their survivability. What bores me however, is that EVERY (well almost every) stalker uses the same tactic and seems to me they dont even try to fight or even interest what happens to their target. If stalkers SHOULD be played like that, why do they get all these other powers? Current state of affairs is, that stalker attacks atm are more like mosquito attacks, you walk around and feel a sting, annoying but nothing serious.
  10. could you quote the exact part where i say they are cowards? I dont say they are cowards, its just that bout every stalker i meet got the same tactic: move up, try to AS, run whether or not he gets the kill. If you have even a decent group, you walk away with your life and if you can get him fast enough you kill the stalker. With eluded scrappers, its just a matter to keep em occupied till elude wears off. GA tanks are actually pushovers in most PvP (presume you mean granite armor). Spam em with slows or fear and there aint much they do. At least those two can put up a different fight each time.

to kill an Ice/SS or Ice/EM tank running tactics and FA .

Hmm, wonder if EM/* stalker can take em down solo.

    [/ QUOTE ]

surely you mean glacial armor but yeah, most stalkers should stay away from empaths spamming CM and ice tanks (well, kill the empath, stay the hell away from his teammates )

and to your question, I have yet to meet a EM stalker that can take down my ice tank solo
  12. i always packed a load of blues to nuke the hell outta em (1 blue per nuke to be able to activate styg circle )

Fun thing with WS is, in the start indeed you often find it tricky to join teams. Then once you prove yourself a bit in big teams and show what a killing machine you are, you most of times get swarmed by invites as soon as you log on
  13. grats hun..

NOW GIMME MY WALLET BACK! (or i'll send timmy the evil tax collector to get it back)

    Lol, so modest.

    ...thats chives for ya
  15. To me most stalkers annoy me, but in a different way than most players. Most stalkers I fight in SC (which is my main pvp zone) are rather weak. Or should I say, the player behind em is rather weak? What I see these days is that most players dont realize a stalkers potential. Most stalkers these days can only do: hide(+stealth) - sneak up on someone - AS - placate + attack or run. Though most if they dont get a 1-hit kill, they run. To me, I find that annoying, cause they aint really participating in the PvP.

Most of times I got a good team and we can prevent each other from being 1 or 2 shot most times. After this, stalkers just get boring. Stand there "oh, here's another one" when a stalker tries to get a 1-hit kill again. Course I know a few good ones, and I love fighting those. Stalkers can do way more than just AS and run. People (stalkers) say I annoy em on my troller cause i got an earth/storm and no way in hell they can beat me. Though I know 3 or 4 stalkers that can take me down if my team cant back me up. Then again, those 3 or 4 dont always open with an AS and try to drop my hurricane first.

So yes, stalkers annoy me, and bore me even more. Wonder if stopping hide+stealth stacking forces stalkers to actually use tactics and maybe pose a challenge.

I finally ran into enemies in Bloody Bay tonight, and even got to experience the dreaded tp foe atatck - although I found it very easy to avoid, as I was flying each time they pulled me in, and I could get away too fast before they landed any blows.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thats only because the people that tp u were amateurs in using the power or inexperienced.A proper PvPer acting as tp belt for his team has to ensure that the target doesnt get a chance to open distance from the team and there are many techniques to do that from either side.

    [/ QUOTE ]

true, those inexperienced TPers crack me up at times. For instance i was in Sirens yesterday, and a stalker kept TP foeing me to try and AS me while I got hurricane running... dunno but for some reason he kept running

Used the TP foe tactic myself to get some nasty Brutes away from the opposite team. Course didnt TP em in NPCs.. Just had my teammate TP em into a nicely prepared quicksand patch. Just kept casting quicksand + snowstorm so they couldnt escape while team finished off their teammates before gettin the brutes. Like TG said, a good TP foe-er makes sure his victim cant escape once they get TPed.

    SMG temp power

"sort of electric gun think" aka the malta sapper rifle man i loved that power in pvp never seen cocky scrappers run so fast after i let off a burst and drained all their end dropping their toggles
  18. loved mine and enjoyed every single bit gettin him to 50 still he is one of my fav toons

true... so am i, but then again, we r t3h sk1LLz0rZ!
  23. have i ever said i love psi mastery?

but yeah that AV fight can be a pain, it was the last time i done this TF thanks to half of team dropping out
  24. hm its the only shard badge i still need on stage and a bloody fun TF indeed... yet dunno if i can make it that early on a sunday.. count me in if i can though
  25. well actually i have less trouble maintainin aggro with my earth than with my ill. Personally i think constant swappin back n forth with PFF is even more viable for a illu troller cause there is less powerspamming compared to other troller sets. But like i said, thats my opinion, I just didnt find recrdx viable in PFF. (Defbuffs though, sure why not )
