  3. the end drain on your blasts are fairly low and I wouldnt recommend slotting it for end drain. Your primary powers to drain their end will be tesla cage, powersink, shortcircuit, voltaic sentinel and even electric fence. Little note on volt sentinel, while it is not very useful at draining per se, it is useful to stop your enemy from regaining end while you still spam end drainers on him. Therefore, judging by these I'd say you need to adjust your slotting.

    a) more slots on tesla cage, pop in some recharge reducers there
    b) slot powersink 3 rech, 3 endmod, you want it up as much as possible. Also with this slotting you can forego stamina if you want to.
    c) lose the endmod slots in thunderous blast. The end drain is already massive as it is and I think you benefit more from it being up often and dealing max damage. I got it 3 dam 3 rech myself, and let bu/aim take care of the tohit.
    d) 3 recharges in buildup..
    e) maybe if you can manage slotwise, have shortcircuit be 3 rech, 3 endmod. Basically 3 endmodded SC + 3 endmodded powersink is enough to drain a complete group of all their end.

    Also I take it this is a PvE build? if you want to PvP you need more accuracy in your attacks.

    I think a blapper is worthwile if the player knows what he is doing. Especially on higher levels, when enemies take a little more to fall over, you are quite likely to taste carpet if you don´t. This is part of the reason why blappers are not well-received by some players: You don´t contribute to the team by inspecting the floor and many blappers do it that often that their most consumed inspiration is the rez and they know the way from the hospital to the mission door blindfolded. (Another reason why many blappers´ damage output can hardly be considered non-stop.)

    Aye, very true.. my elec/elec blapper is currently lvl 37 and you really need to pick your mobs carefully or know your team will back you up if you need it before running in headlong. I also often get the remark that blasters shouldnt melee, but thats often countered by a remark why they gave blasters melee attacks in the first place and a little show where you plant half the mob with melee attacks. However I wouldnt dare to run in a big strong group without my end drains... after all I prefer to survive after landing the initial 3 punches (charged brawl, havoc punch, thunderstrike).

  6. being mind you also got the power of sleeps.. while they wont lock down a target while you pound on em, its ideal to drop some toggles on characters without inherent mez protection. For instance when fighting a squishy running acro, you can use sleep first and then immediately a hold after. Also other bubblers running dispersion bubble will hate sleeps, as its the only toggle-dropping mez they havent got resistance against.

    actually its bit different, up to lvl 30 you get 2 slots every odd level and a new power every even level (with the exception of lvl 1 obviously ) at 31 you get 3 slots, 32 new power, then its new power at 35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 49 and 3 slots at the other lvls.

    As said before the number is when you add that slot to a power. Also these are almost always SOs yes, this is because its a build to lvl 50 most of the times and SOs are the most effective enhancements (well.. apart from hami-os, but thats a diff story). You can always adapt the build to training enhances and DO enhances. However it should be noted that training enhances barely offer a boost in efficiency. Basically it's 2 training enhances go in 1 DO, and 2 DOs go in 1 SO. I would suggest when you are lvling up with training enhances to just focus on 1 thing with the slots, most of the times accuracy, then adjust your slotting once you get access to SO and DO

Any such held prisoner probably gets probation, passed over to the authorities or whatever after a weeks play.

    Perhaps in raids, the attackers could break out a prisoner for a pet.

    Could work.. however it has some holes for exploiting.. for instance 10 members of SG do a hunt mish for same type of mob, they all capture 1 of em, having 10 of them in the base. Then people could just get a hunt 10 xxx mish and they'll get free xp as the base already holds 10 of em.

    Limiting amount you can capture of a same type would solve this, or maybe increase the amount of energy/control needed to sustain one of the same type as you need to prevent them conspiring a breakout etc? I like the idea of them being rescuable as a pet in base raids though

  18. SC with 3end mod (how I got it slotted) + powersink 3 endmod = complete spawn dry of end. In the rare occasion some boss still has a sliver of end left, tesla cage and electric fence are your friends in end draining. IIRC from the elec blast powers, apart from SC and TB, tesla cage has the highest drain. Elec fence is nice because it gives 4 ticks of end drain, off the top of my head 4x 2.5, but please correct me if I'm wrong. So effectively elec fence can even be used as a kinda primitive -recovery power.

    Of course Thunderous Blast is the king of ranged drains.. but then again, they aren't gonna do much anymore after you fry em with thunderous blast
  19. I think you are using an old version of hero planner are you not? Because you got endrec and enddrn in powersink, yet both of those are combined into endmod for quite a while now. I suggest switching the last 3 slots for recharge instead.

    Second of all, still the point stands you want acc in shocking bolt..

    Thirdly, recharge reductions in acro?! that is really not worth it, just put in an endreduction or 2 in it and you're set.

    Play around a bit with the last 3 slots in aid self, personally I prefer either 2 rech, 1 intrpt or 1 rech 2 intrpt against 3 intrpt.

    KB distance in havoc punch? Why would you want that?

    IMO TB doesnt really need acc, but that might be my own preference I guess.. personally I slot it with 3 dam, 3 rech and let BU/Aim take care of the acc.

    Swap the dmg for an acc in shocking grasp, in PvP you can never have enough acc as everybody will probably have some form of +def power running, or even pop a load of purples for that effect.

    Coming back to havoc punch, personally I'd swap that kbdist for an extra recharge on tesla cage. Not only is tesla cage a nice hold, but it's also one of your best end draining powers.

    For the rest its a decent enough build.. just your slotting needs major tweaking

    nope, the hidekiller would be freezing rain..

    also saying EM isnt linked to SR, well that just says how you can't really judge a toon on just his primary or secondary, it's the combination of both that makes the toon.

    while it's a fun idea, I'm wondering what exactly would be the use other than farming contaminated?

    EDIT: on a side note, having something like a detention room like the prison cells in bases when you click "go to hospital" for base raids might be a bit more feasible idea...

    I disagree, lightning bolt and aim are essential, but in this very tight build I would never take short circuit or tesla cage on an Elec/Energy for PvP.

    true, guess for /nrg SC/TC aint really necessary, was typin this with more elec/elec in my head and the end drain from SC and TC is just too good to ignore. However I think you should take into consideration a powerboosted shortcircuit can hurt your enemies end bar ALOT
