not everyone likes using ouroboros, flashbacks lock you in tf mode and you cant do PUGs very well in long flashbacks
  2. yeah, new styles of trenchcoats would be good, as currently they have 1 style (leather) which looks all well and good, but has no diversity

new recipies would be nice too, like costume pieces or more recipe sets in general (melee dmg has like 10-11 sets while most other subcategories of recipes have maybe 4-6)

    /Elec

the elec secondary on blasters is pretty strong

on the dmg toggle, i would say its not necessary unless you want to slot it

power sink is excellent to get your end back after a nuke

and it has a hold power you could stack with another power (an elec/elec/elec blaster can poentially have up to 3 holds (total 9 mag))
  4. its a nice idea, but there are a few sets that do have +resist bonuses (purple sets for example with 6 will net you 5% toxic resist)

i think there is also a knockback set with 2.5% smash resist

theres also a PVP IO which gives +3% all resists

i havent looked that in depth with all set bonuses to see if there are any others, but there are already a decent bit of sets out there with resist bonuses

the only reason to have the Villain badge before lvl 30 is because it unlocks a 30-35 contact (kristof jaeger, located in nerva)

longbow are literally everywhere, i know they spawn in mercy in fairly large numbers down in the ground under GW tower.
  7. costume looks awesome, i do like the glowing pieces and the tron-like theme.

the tunnels i speculate are the resistance hideout underneath praetoria
  8. making sg's global would be a nice way to increase your sg rep between servers, instead of having top 100 lists for each server, they would consolidate into 1 list.

on the other hand, im one of those who would never leave victory, so it would be kind of pointless to implement something as that.
  9. i dont care too much for flash arrow either, but the -tohit will go nicely with dark powers (since the dark powers have the same duration of -tohit approx)
  10. darkest night works good with EA cause you have the end abilities to support it and it in general is a good debuff, i would use that on the strongest enemy in every group regardless of what is going on with rage.

best strategy with darest night is to use it first thing into battle so it takes effect before they get too many hits off at you
  11. i think the pylons attack is tagged as a AOE attack

speed boost they wouldnt make AoE buff because not everyone likes it, however a boost to the duration would definitly be welcomed

as for the other single target buffs, i dont see why they cant be changed to AoE with a slight increase to end cost (what they did with mm training powers essntially), doing so would definitly help rid us of the "buff bot" feeling
  13. the first mish from darren wade has a lot of tsoo in it
  14. it would be nice to see more done with this

one of the things i think should be added is the option to use AE from here

    more tfs arent bad either

they used to have an "sg specific" thing which was cathedral of pain trial, but that has been disabled for quite a long time now
  15. most favorite
    • knockout blow
    • any kind of confuse power
    • fulcrum shift
    • trip mine
    • psi wail (VEAT version)
    • propel (especially with particle physics turned on, can turn a mish map into a junkyard)
    • wormhole (forces enemies to cluster)
    • footstomp (with groundpunch animation)
    • autopowers (dont have to worry about them)
    • AoE buffs (RAs, world of pain, ect)
    • force bubble (can fling low lvl enemies across maps)
    • blizzard (nuke with no target cap)
    • rain of arrows (very strong attack with no target cap)
    • ninja run (replaces travel powers for me, wish i could slot it though)
    • mystic fortune (who doesnt like a 20 min buff?)
    • self destruction
    least favorite
    • single target buffs (makes me feel like a buff bot)
    • gale (very annoying that it forces you to take it on most ATs)
    • powers with continual sound effects (hurricane, arctic fog, ect)
    • sleep powers
    • powers that do no dmg (some exceptions, but hand clap should do dmg for example)
  16. the +/- 3 only applies to arena, all the zones have specific lvls you fight at

in a zone when i got the drops, i was on a lvl 41 and i killed a lvl 50 friend and i got a lvl 41 drop (we both were 38 because we were in warburg)

but the lvl of the pvp IO is based on your actual lvl, regardless of the person you kill
    • there is an option to disable vg/sg invites in the prompts section of options menu
    • another option is go on hide from searches
    • another option is put in search comments is "no blind invites" (or some variation of that)
    • a final option i can think of is to just leave the box asking for invite open and move it off to the side because you cant receive invites while you already have the invite box open.
    i hope these suggestions help

Like Tangler said, playing arcs should not be a chore. Forcing someone to play through an additional 2-3 missions worth of bad before they can tell the world at large that this is bad is... well... bad.

That being said, everyone's opinion is subjective. A spread like the following should be unlikely, but I've seen it in my own arc "The Long Road Back":

    5, 5, 5, 5, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 2, 1

Obviously there is a minority opinion that apparently thinks the arc is terrible, right? The 2 I can tolerate because PW wrote an extensive post explaining what she thought was wrong with the arc. The blind 1 I have more difficulty with because it was left with no in-game comment whatsoever and it is SO far afield from the common opinion. Basically anonymous player equated the arc with an unfinished, broken arc into which absolutely no effort was put.

And I think what Tangler is trying to say is that the system is broken because that anonymous player, (who did not even bother to try to explain what he, unlike anyone else who has played it, found so abhorrent about the story), has more inherent power than the players who liked it because his rating is the farthest from the norm.

His rating, (and almost his alone), brought the arc's average down from a 5 to a 4.

And I think that's what Tangler is really talking about... the ability for a player to essentially blindly, completely anonymously 'grief' an author.
while what you have is a good point, how do you know the 1 or 2 starring people werent doing that out of spite? or trying to get their own arcs higher in the list?

if the arc is so bad then just quit and never run again, if the arc is that bad, then it should get no rating and you should send a tell to author suggesting things if you reall wanted to.

90% of the time if the arc is that bad i wont even rate it

i think a couple posts ago i mentioned i do think you have to play through the entire arc to get the rating box.

its still not technically broken, but this would definitly improve the QoL in the AE

[QUOTE=Tangler;2553034]Except, there are a few chaps who won't rate your arc 1 star to say "I'll never run this again" or "this needs work, but can be improved", and are rating you 1 star because your arc is in the way of theirs getting to the front page, or because you have 5 stars and they'll 1 star you to bring your average down to the rating they think it deserves, or they 1 star you because you accidentally sat on their cat. In that sense, the ratings are broken.[QUOTE]

doesnt mean they are broken, thats more abuse than them being broken

i would not do that, cause with a popup, poeple are either not gonna ever bother rating anything, and that wont stop people from 1 starring something they didnt like to begin with.

as for the other thing, yes it would be a better idea to not have the rating box pop up until you completed the arc, because as is people could just get arc, rate, quit and the owner gets boatload of tickets for doing nothing.
  21. Necrotech_Master

    Ratings and you.

the rating system isnt per se broken, but everyone rates stuff on their point of view, so people who 1 star things might have the mindset of "ill never run this again" to people who think "this needs work, but can be improved (and leaves feeback on it)"

the rating system they have now is fine, and i dont see how it can be improve since everyone has a dfferent ideology of "whats good" and "whats bad" and "what can be improved"

the only fix they can really do is not make ratings public, like the note system, you can add notes to people and give players ratings, but they and everyone else cant see it, something like this is something they could establish on the AE (if possible).
  22. knockdown is not essentially a mez, so how exactly would it trigger containment in the first place?

    also, whats the point?
  23. all AE stuff drops tickets with the exception of the dev choice arcs which can drop normal loot or tickets (you choose before you start).
  24. i wasnt here for the original sound effect either, but i like the current sound effect.

as for visuals, since i16 i guess it depends on the colors that the player has set, since some colors (like black/black) are ner invisible while other colors are much more noticeable.
