Quote:i would be fine if it still spawned for min team size, but i know how it currently works if people quit the team, the map spawns adjust to team size (but AVs will always be present)All task forces should be able to be started by a solo player. I have yet to see a good reason why not.
I also feel they should spawn for the normal task force minimum. Meaning if I want to do a solo ITF, I need to deal with spawns set for 6, including AVs. It would be a shame if the option was added but they were dumbed down to make them easy.
the original posi tf has 0 AVs in it and was crazy easy to solo, most of the upper lvl tfs always have 1 or more AVs and some of those AVs are overpowered like reichsman, statesman, honoree, ect, and are nearly impossible to solo anyway. also on average the solo time to do one of those tfs is almost always longer than the avg time for a team to run the tfQuote:If you do it with just one person, it is no longer a Task Force and becomes a story arc.
If they ever allow us to run them solo, without padders, I would fully expect them to apply the story arc time/reward ratio to it.
Want to solo an ITF? Sure, but now you get 9 merits for it, because it is shorter than a lot of story arcs in the game. Same goes for any of the shorter TFs. Things like Synapse would be worth maybe 20 merits. Just look how much the merit reward of old Posi was reduced when they added it to Ouro and let us solo it, if you want an example. It went from 64 merits to 26 or so.
The term "Task Force" itself defines it as inolving multiple people. Look at any real world example of something called a task force, do you ever see a task force that is ONE guy?
The most I'll ever expect is the old version added to Ouro after a revamp, just like what happened with Posi.
for example an LRSF is impossible to solo or duo without a perma mind dom, and a standard run for avg team is maybe 1-1.5 hours, duo or solo it takes around 3-5 hours
if you actually READ the above posts i stated that i do not mind running the tfs in a team but there are times when i want an extra challenge or i simple cannot find enough poeple interested in the same task and would like a way around the current system -
Quote:since illusion is in need of rech, i usually slot the 2 intensive rech pet sets, usually expedient reinforcement in PA and the lower lvl one in phantasmCheers for the help folks. i was thinking the same, i wasnt sure if the proc would affect the pets only- which then as they are immune to rech its usless. or the attacks effect me..think ill use the slot i got spare else where then.
i think the soulbound allegience chance for build up proc is really nice for pets (more so on the PA than phantasm but works for either) -
im not surprised at the fact bobs burgers was endangered, it looked terrible on the few commercials i saw of it and the rare times it was on cartoon network
as for family guy and american dad i would almsot certainly expect renewal
ive never seen or cared to see any other show on the list so doesnt really bother me lol -
Quote:i think you might be right about that, i know a while ago before they nerfed the ability to affect pets rech i used to have a force feedback proc in summon genin for my ninja mm and very very very rarely i would get the +rech when summoning themAre you sure about that? I know that pets can get a little wonky with sets, but the proc has a chance to fire on you when you summon Lightning Storm, but then that's only a pseudopet.
honestly i would try to put the proc in a power that can:
- hit a lot of targets or
- quick recharging
-
the force feedback proc only has a chance to proc when a kb is applied
so it would have a chance to apply if the chance to kb took affect in the phantasms attacks
however the caveat is that the proc would apply to the phantasm, and since pets rech is unaffected it would do nothing -
Quote:for major tfs i could kind of see your point, but for non lvl 50 tfs it should be much less like i really dont mind posi because it only requires 3, so if you and a friend want to duo, if one of you has an alt account to pad with your good to goOkay the minimum of one most likely will never happen.
How about giving the Freedom Phalanx TFs a minimum of 4, like their counterpart SF have. I never understood why Manticore needs 7
It would still make you need a team and if you wanted padders you would just need less.
i honestly see no reason that any tf has a requirement of more than 3 -

in the settings menu there is an option to allow multiple instances of the game to be launched
to get to it file -> settings and then under the advanced tab -
Objective feedback: the look of it seems solid and download speed was significantly faster by a good 2.5 times and it is very nice to be able to launch test or beta from the launcher
subjective feedback: compared to the old look this thing is 100x better. i also dont really like the "recommended" for sending feedback information. the download speed was also immensly faster for me, usual download rate was 250-347 kbs but with this i was getting 800-840 kbs
overall i think its fine, i rather have 1 launcher than 20 launchers that each update individually, this one updater will make it easier to see things -
for me most of my toons have dropped fitness for either concealment or leadership (concealment for the LOTG mules and leadership because its really good)
ive honestly never taken the fighting pool on anything ever because i hate being forced to take 1 or 2 extremely, IMO, useless powers -

if you are onthe team entire tf and get kicked last mish you should still get a reward
had one of those types of star poeple on an ITF, got to last mish and i get kicked for no reason, so im sitting at the market and i still get the reward table popup a few min later anyway lol -
yeah, i noticed it almost as soon as GR was out, it is an easy way to check other poeple alignment to see if they are only "tourists", but other than that i dont see myself using it much lol
-
-
i doubt i would start any other MMOs
but i do have another 280 games on steam i could play, so not like i wont have anything to do lol -
well GR did introduce kinetic melee, dual pistols, demon summoning, and electric control, all of which are really unique
-
the thing i like best about GR is that i can finally get all the toons i want and ignore heroside 99% of the time lol

Quote:ive been taking my time with that badge, i plan on working on it a lot more during weeks which have fast and easy tfs (and march has a lot of those)Zerging TFs to get the 50 badge burned me out on TFs in general. Now I am glad I got the badge and it's over. I don't have to log in to just do TFs and can work on my new lowbie. Farming wolves in Striga was awesome compared to doing a bunch of mind numbing TFs.
apex, tin mage, and ITF can all be done under 40 min easy, and they have good rewards as well, so during those weeks i plan on running or joining a lot
i am also taking it slow in hopes the 50 tf badge will be relooked at, because 50 tfs is a LOT to run on 1 toon, if they made those badges global then i prolly would not have minded as much -
ive never really had any major anomalies show up while running the weekly tfs
however, today i started trying to form a silver mantis, wait 10-15 min and 0 respones, so i change to just asking for padders, it took me 50 minutes to even get A response about helping to pad
all this just made me hate the min team size requirements of tfs even more -
i dont mind doing tfs on large teams, but this suggestions is more for when your on during a period of low activity and still want to do a tf, but may not have enough or any people interested in joining
i really dont mind the team based activities, but i rather have an option to bypass it if there is something preventing team activity (whether low activity, low interest, or who knows what else)
i know one thing the devs have supported in this game is the ability for the players to have options and i would rather have this over turnstile teaming anyday, if i want to team ill ask in global channels, if i want to solo a tf/sf, then i would like the option to -
a large majority of the badges are mostly for bragging rights and are a "mini game" of a sort
i know plenty of poeple who only go after badges that are required for accolades then never touch them again unless they randomly happen upon them -
something i hear suggest before was if they were clicked when you had under min team size they would do their rant that this was meant for x amount of people and would be nearly impossible for less and then you would have a dialogue option saying something like "im willing to risk it" sort of disclaimer type thing

my biggest beef with the current system is needing padders
if i know i can solo or duo a sf, i want to start it right them instead of wasting other poeples time for them to pad and wasting my time finding the padders to start it
another benefit of solo sf/tf is that you dont have to worry about other poeples time constraints, you can take however long you want to do the tf -
please please please give us an option on tf/sf contacts to start them with fewer than the minimum team requirement
i like to duo and solo sf, but its a freaking pain because its literally the only thing in the game that requires padders to do anymore
if i get on when theres not a lot of people on and i want to do an sf, its an extreme pain whether your getting an actual team or want to solo or duo it
while i understand they are more team oriented tasks and stuff, i think more options would always be better, cause if i want to try soloing ITF/LRSF/whatever sf, then at least make it easier to start it
an example today, ive been trying to find 3 padders to start a silver mantis, so far i been waiting and asking around for 45 minutes and 0 responses which i could have been using actually playing the game and running the sf i have to spend trying to find poeple to help me start it, its plain not fun
