If i put a Force Feedback +rech into Phantasm, will it proc only when i summon it or will it proc when it attacks? if it procs when it attacks does it only effect it self or effect me as well? the clones i expect not to count but the phantasm himself.

the force feedback proc only has a chance to proc when a kb is applied

so it would have a chance to apply if the chance to kb took affect in the phantasms attacks

however the caveat is that the proc would apply to the phantasm, and since pets rech is unaffected it would do nothing

Are you sure about that? I know that pets can get a little wonky with sets, but the proc has a chance to fire on you when you summon Lightning Storm, but then that's only a pseudopet.

Otherwise Necrotech is right. Although the proc will "fire" it will have no actual impact since it will apply the +recharge to the pet, and pets are immune to recharge effects. I'm still a little bitter about that.

i think you might be right about that, i know a while ago before they nerfed the ability to affect pets rech i used to have a force feedback proc in summon genin for my ninja mm and very very very rarely i would get the +rech when summoning them

honestly i would try to put the proc in a power that can:
  • hit a lot of targets or
  • quick recharging
slotting it in a pet is almost not worth it unless you need a set bonus

Cheers for the help folks. i was thinking the same, i wasnt sure if the proc would affect the pets only- which then as they are immune to rech its usless. or the attacks effect me..think ill use the slot i got spare else where then.

since illusion is in need of rech, i usually slot the 2 intensive rech pet sets, usually expedient reinforcement in PA and the lower lvl one in phantasm

i think the soulbound allegience chance for build up proc is really nice for pets (more so on the PA than phantasm but works for either)

Agreed, I would not recommend slotting it there at all. Off the top of my head I can't think of a single pet or pseudopet that recharges fast enough to make this remotely close to worthwhile.

Before the recharge change to pets, what Force Feedback proc used to do to Phantasm was if it proc'd, it would recharge its attacks faster (allowing it to sometimes summon two decoys). The major tradeoff was that its attack pattern would force it into close combat for an unknown reason (also, one of the main reasons why people would put it into Bruiser from Thugs).

Nowadays, recharge buff or debuff does nothing for Phantasm, and surprise - all pets (controllable and non-controllable) now have close combat enforced mentality *sigh*
