Not at all. If you run Anti-Matter's arcs in Praetoria, you find out that the reactors blowing would annihilate all of Praetoria, and even better, knock out power to most of remaining civilization.

Blowing up those reactors would quite literally spell the end of Praetoria.
  4. I'm resurrecting this thread. I'm still in dire need of an active, non-clique non-strict non-godmode non-broody-teen-vigilante RPVG for my main, and similar RPSG's/VG's for my other toons. Read the OP and help a guy out?

And it's not really true that that's how it goes, not as an absolute statement. In realistic fiction, yes, but this isn't exactly realism what we have here. Let me explain:

There seems to be this idea that "villainy" can only ever be expressed by showing the human suffering and misery it causes. I disagree. I'd much rather focus on the COOL side of villain - building giant tractor beams that pull the moon closer to the earth, devising a spell to reverse time and unleash dinosaurs onto unsuspecting civilians, or even just simply being rich enough to BUY your own country. Yes, all of those still come with human misery and suffering attached, but I don't need to see that. I'm not interested in playing a mass-murdering torturing monster. That's not fun. I'm interested in playing the cool kind of villain who doesn't take backtalk from anyone and who routinely does the impossible because villains just do that as a rule of thumb.

I don't need a life lesson from a game when that life lesson is "don't play this game." If the entirety of the villain-side is built to depress and disgust me and make me not wish to do the things I'm being asked to do... Why the xXx would I want to play it? And, yes, I do mean Vin Deasel's xXx.

I can play a hero and the game can make me good about playing it. Why can't I play a villain and feel good about playing the game, too?
Dude. It sounds like you'd be at home sitting in Lex Luthor's chair. XD

But again, there have been few instances where evil like that has "won" if you will. I personally enjoy the aspect of being pitted against the outcome of defeat; I will try that much harder to change the supposedly inevitable.

This back-and-forth, however, will end on personal preference. I understand your view, and it's solid. I respect it.

God damn, have some patience or develop content yourself.

It's not my feat, my build, or skill, it's the pets.

Under that criteria, dual-boxing could be considered "solo" too becuase it's "just you", right?
That is the worst argument I've ever heard. The Lore pets are earned powers. Earned, permanent and part of your character powers. Shivans are disabled under No Temps. Lore pets, which aren't temporary, are not. They are YOURS.

You're just grumpy Tankers aren't as gimped as you believe them to be, giving you very little to actually complain about. And you're probably grumpy it wasn't you who downed a GM.

When your friends get A's on tests, receive awards for outstanding work, or get their diplomas (if applicable) do you reply with "Well if someone else did that it wouldn't be any more impressive"? Good lord man, credit where credit is due.

You could just be a good sport and say "well done." Right?

    No?

I made a DA/EM tank and it does work very well. It was a toss up between EM and WM; EM for concept and WM for effectiveness, in the end concept won out.

Now I'm just crossing my fingers for a buff to EM.

I hadn't considered Kinetics as I wasn't aware that it had any stuns.
A lot of it stuns. I believe Body Blow, Smashing Blow and Concentrated Strike all stun, and pretty well. The other attacks have knockdown (not counting Repulsing Torrent as I can't stand knockback on a tanker), which is another great source of mitigation. EM has no knockback, and it's far slower than KM. I mean it too; anyone who thinks KM is slow needs to try the following attack chain:

Power Siphon > Quick Strike > Smashing Blow > Body Blow > Quick Strike > Burst > Concentrated Strike.

It's incredibly fast until the end. Burst can be swapped for Focused Burst. The animations for SB, BB, and QS (in that order) will often execute so rapidly that QS will hit an enemy killed by BB. If SB and BB land their stuns, you WILL stun a boss.

It wasn't so much you as it was them doing the work and you being a distraction.

Heck, Warworks alone can drop a Pylon themselves twice as fast as any Tanker with no player contribution other than some healing or taunting. They're that broken good.

Don't get me wrong, I've taken down Kraken, Eochai and a Monster Island Lattice with them myself, but I would never call it "solo".

But hey, Sally is a GM too, right? So there's always that.

    Nay.
Just because you don't have fun as a Tanker doesn't mean you have to crap all over the fun of others. No congrats, no kudos, no props?

    Nice.

I've been murdering AVs long before I20. Most recently I defeated Numina and Lord Recluse as +0 AVs in I19 long before I added my latest batch of upgrades and Incarnate abilities. I also solo'd a Pylon during I18 as well. Let him roll.
    So... je_saist was wrong?

    And you're surprised?

EM is a pig these days. It's purely ST (disregard Whirling Hands. Seriously) and it's absurdly slow. Kinetic Melee is everything EM wishes it still was.

As for color, allow me to show you my DA/KM Tanker Eon Scar.

All colors are a watery blue primary and a deep blue secondary. Makes for wonderful water/ocean effects.

  21. I need help with the overall steampunk look. I can sort of manage it but it just never feels right. I also need a character to play. I'm at a loss as to what AT to use. I have a few names, but... actual game/look problems are keeping me at bay.
