Didn't Synapse already list what would be put in?

Quote:This.Did you really need a thread for something Synapse just CONFIRMED in the i24 overview?.
Try paragonwiki.com or the marketeering forum.
Considering we don't know what exactly is replacing those set bonuses, I think we should wait until I24.
Come on now, dug. You didn't need to make a thread for this. -
You just like using that .gif, don't even lie.

All preferences, window saves, chatlogs, screenshots, keybinds, macros, popmenus, Mission Architect created content, and slot order info.
Save that stuff. -

Quote:Aren't you just a fountain of positivity?...so there was nothing in the Capone's vault but some empty gin bottles.
Seriously, most of the surprise was spoiled by the devs in the weekly Coffee Talks so this feels entirely anticlimactic. I hope the beta starts today or tomorrow, because this is beginning to drag. We all know i25 is the 'big one', anyways.
Things we hadn't heard about yet:
-New IO's
-New T9 VIP Costumes
-New Lore Abilities
-New Incarnate Story
-New Zone Events
-New Arc for KR, St. Martial and Brickstown
-Set Bonus Improvements
Boy, that sure doesn't seem like everything was spoiled for us now does it?
Come on, Butane. Lighten up for once and be happy we're getting new stuff. -
Pretty much pokes a giant hole in the "time progression by player level" thing we've all thought was going on, which makes First Ward's timeline that much more ambiguous.
-
Even better is seeing Legacy enemy groups get their collective spines straight and rise again. It'll be awesome to watch the old groups come into the spotlight like they did so long ago.
Edited to Add: Here's hoping those new villain schemes are fun; nice to see redside getting some content love! Maybe now I can finally stop saying 'for the greater good!'
... dammit. *drinks* -
AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER.
Seriously. I just about cheered at work.
I'm most excited for the new T9 VIP sets and the new Invention sets. Those respective categories have needed some love. I'm also RIDICULOUSLY happy to see XP Debt protection and Mez Resist in IO bonuses go away. Those bonuses were largely useless, especially at later levels.
Now if only I could convince the Invention guys to make sets for melee powers that grant defense and melee/ranged powers that heal... -
Quote:I'm a little late to this party, but...Will there be another wipe so people can have names to use? It's so crazy that the dead realms have all the good names reserved still and yet theyre never active.
Anyone know if they're working on a way to improve this? It's getting very limited for creations and imagination. Alot of us are already using capital I as lowercase L to bypass this.

Defenders for sure.Quote:So playerbase in your opinion is there any other AT that needs help as much as MM's post I24?
Repel. Repulsion Bomb. Repulsion Field. Energy Torrent. Focused Accuracy. Force of Nature (the one without any mez protection). I could go on.Quote:Can you say that after I24 there will be any power that is truly worse than serum?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Robotics, and if you feel there is, I can assure you you're doing it wrong. You can't compare Demons and Beast Mastery to Thugs, Bots or Necro; Demons are incredibly stupid and fail to synergize well, usually due to the 'tank' tier 2 demon dying like a total wuss and the tier 3 demons CONSTANTLY running in to melee range for cone attacks. Beast isn't much better, what with the terrible pet AI and their increased run speed that leaves the MM hammering the "Follow/Return" macro and screaming "WHAT THE PANCAKE ARE YOU DOING" while Fido and his five friends run clear across the map before realizing their master is calling them back, aggroing everything (and I mean EVERYTHING).Quote:Do you think that the cottage rule should be thrown aside when you compare some of the older MM primary set powers with the new MM sets? Daemons/Beast Mastery as compared to Mercs/Robots?
Mercs, however, is a problem set. The fix to Mercs would be more damage, reduced cooldown on SpecOps debuff/control grenades, no freaking knockback from Mr. Commando, and for the ******* medic to stop running into melee and dying every five seconds.
The same thing I expect every other team member to do. If I see a Mastermind just sending his pets in and not using his secondary, that Mastermind and I are gonna have a chat.Quote:On a team what do you expect the mastermind to do? / What role do you expect him to fill on a team?
I don't think anyone's role ever changes due to content, except in the case of kidnap missions, where everyone but the poor schmoe who got the hostage becomes an obstacle.Quote:Do you think the MM's role on a team changes depending on the content? (I.E. Does the MM do the same job on a paper mish team as he does in the iTrials?)
Only if they want to be.
Anyone can slot recharge/buffs. You just need to know what IO's give it and where you can put them.Quote:Do you think it's fair that some MM's can slot the unique recharge intensive pet IO's and more easily soft cap their pets giving those sets an inherent advantage over sets that don't offer that?
I haven't seen any such requirement anywhere. -
Quote:As an aside, I wonder just how many people are going to take the "Fix Everything" meme too far and be really disappointed when I24 does not, in fact, fix everything.Quote:It's not going to. Bases are for the most part broken and there are other things out there that probably aren't getting looked at like fixing the numerous spelling errors in this game. I think that the dev.'s are trying to fix what problems they can and fix which problems may be most visible. I believe this issue is thinking of the future of this game more than anything.
Look, the economy's crap, M.M.O.'s all across the board are losing players simply because the main demographic for them has grown up, and the dev.'s know that a nearly ten year old game can only last for so long. They're probably putting through as many fixes they can this issue so it can last much longer on life support than it normally would. I applaud them for this issue and for doing what they can to polish off as many systems in the game as they can before they eventually have to downsize in the coming years.
They're giving us most of the fixes and customization options that we've been requesting for years in the coming issue. Good on them for pulling through. In my opinion, it's probably one of the best issues they'll be coming out with in some time.

Oh crap, that's Katie Douglass's mind isn't it. -
Armor sets work differently with weapons than offensive sets. They're made to take weapons into consideration; on the flip side, using powers like Power Push or the new Ki Strike or even Fire Sword Circle and NOT having redraw would make weapon-drawn characters just look bad. Imagine your Beam Rifle glued to your palm at a stupid angle while you use Power Push. If Blaster Secondaries didn't cause redraw some of the effects would look very, very stupid. Armor sets, used with Weapons, usually require very little animation and the weapon can remain drawn.
