I have a 260 and I love it... Very nice card.

Just to let you know, the GUI can be toggled on and off in your screenshots.
Type /screenshotui x to toggle the GUI, where x=0 to turn it off (default) and x=1 to turn it on.
And grats on your treat! -
Quote:From the wiki:Does anyone know if a duplicate costume power counts towards the costumes badges?
Note: receiving a duplicate costume will give no indication of the duplicate, but it will count towards the badges. Because of this, it will appear that fewer costume drops have occurred than are required for the badge.

I saw an alert about zombies in Dark Astoria... I thought, "Where have you been?"
-
Quote:Actually, The treat is determined before checking your tray. If the treat is an inspiration, and your tray is full, then you appear to get nothing. (Well, actually, you do get nothing, it's just that the system thinks it gave you a treat.)Here's one to prove/disprove-
I've noticed I am more likely to get a Treat if I have an empty slot in my Inspiration Tray. I've gotten Treat with full trays and Trick with half-empty ones, but leaving a spot for the small insp to drop seems to increase the chance of getting a Treat.
If I had to speculate, I would guess that Treats could take 3 forms-
a small/medium inspiration
a small/medium inspiration + a bonus costume power
a bonus costume power
If you have a full tray, it precludes the first two possibilities. If you don't get the third option, you get a Trick.
It's the same way with costume powers. Since you can only have one type of costume power, if the treat is a costume you already have, again it will award the costume. But, if you already have it, it won't double up. -
Quote:By the way, since this wasn't addressed, the temp power is a costume power, there are dozens of them (not sure exactly how many) that you can get while ToTing. Basically you toggle them on and you look like a particular NPC - Paragon Protector, Freakshow Tank, Carnie Harlequin, Scrapyarder, etc. They have a two-week REAL TIME duration, so two weeks from now, that power will go away.Wow, thanks for the information.
The only temp power I got last night, as a treat, was a toggle for looking like a Paragon Protector. Hmm.
This is the first special event, besides double xp weekend, that I've been to. Though I've seen the Elohai [sp?] and the big Jack fighting in Croatoa, I think. Somewhere. And we couldn't get them apart to fight them.
There are badges for collecting the costumes as well.
As for Eochai and Jack in Irons fighting in Croatoa, that is a zone event that is an ongoing aspect of Croatoa, and is not limited to Halloween. Basically they are giant monster spawns along the same lines as the Kraken of Perez Park or Babbage in Boomtown.
Edited to add: Oh, and as for the Titan Network ( www.cohtitan.com ) TonyV said there were DNS issues but that they are now resolved. -
A note on tactics:
With SSK, team members get sk'd up or down to the level of the leader. I would recommend the highest level team member having the star.
That way, everyone will have access to all of their powers.
Earlier today I was part of an attempt to fight the banners in Faultline. I joined a team whose leader was 19... I was 41... Guess how many powers I lost. -
Quote:My wife does the same thing.(And since I'm desperately short, of course, the heroine is - as I like to call it - "maxed out height-wise on the costume creator".)
She's all of 5' 3", but makes her characters so tall they scrape their heads on the CoT caves ceiling.
(Edited to add: Oh, and almost every one of her characters has chocolate in the name. ) -

Quote:I thought the limit on minor arcs was 5, but they might have removed that limitation...Yes, I've been kvetching about this for years.
At least now it seems this has been fixed for major story arcs. I believe you actually have to take the first mission now to get the book icon on major story arcs, but I haven't done any extensive testing to see if this is true. But yes, it is still a problem on the minor story arcs, but at least it's a little less of a hassle since you can have unlimited minor arcs open at once (at least I think it's unlimited). -
Just wanted to add my condolences... Rotties are great dogs, but they can be very susceptible to some bad stuff, like cancer and parvo.
-
Quote:In a similar vein:If you want to run a contact's arc, they'll give you junk missions (have you hugged your security chief today?) until you're about two bubbles from outlevelling said arc. If you just want to run a few more missions to push yourself into the next level range, every contact you talk to will offer arcs.
You bring in your toon that you run exclusively with a particular group to do your marketing/levelling/slotting and lining up several current missions for running several hours before the scheduled rally time, only to find that EVERY single contact wants to give you a timed mission.
...EVERY...
...SINGLE...
...CONTACT! ! !
Man.. I hate it when that happens... -

Leo Scrapper: The Leo Scrapper has all the advantages of the Brute without that pesky Fury bar to worry about. Leos love the mass slaughter potential of the AT while their team dutifully follows them around ooh-ing and aah-ing in appreciation and awe. A warning to those playing with the Leo Scrapper: Ooh-ing and Aah-ing is NOT a good idea. There is a base 5% chance adjusted by +2% per ooh and +2.2% per aah that a Leo Scrapper will enter a berserker like state at the adulation and aggro everything on the mission map in a glorious screaming charge. This is checked every 5 minutes. The main problem is that the Leo Scrapper wants an audience so if his team doesnt follow hes more than happy to bring the show back to them. Solo Leo Scrappers are also susceptible to the disease Difficulty Creep mentioned in the Leo Brute section.
Have you been watching me play?
I can neither confirm nor deny that I am guilty of anything resembling this, however I can say that I am familiar with the tendency depicted and.. that... I mean... that is to say... you see...
It's me.
The 'ooh-ahh' percentage seems to be a little higher for me, too. -
For my part, I've never seen anything like this mentioned by a dev or even commented on by players.
I love the idea of it, but never heard of it before now. -
Quote:I still have the first three volumes of that...I still remember my all time favorite RPG critical hit word for word.
It hails from Arduin Grimoire, a game I haven't played in probably 25 years.

Lots of interesting modifications we used in our DnD sessions. -

Quote:Oh... I forgot about that.. (I originally learned about video editing through the Player Guides.)Look around the forums and wiki for stuff on creating your own demo files.
Zloth did comment that there is a section out on the Wiki on demo-editing now.
Edit: link to the Wiki - http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page -
For video making there's the Multimedia forum, just below the Screenshot forum.
Check the Player Guide section for demo-editing tips. Also, Zloth has a great demo-editing tool to help in these productions. -

Quote:Hey! They said they are both Klingons and it's a long story!Hey, if Star Trek can have obviously inconsistent canon (original series Klingons and "turtle head" Klingons), we can too.

I mean, do you want to be the interviewer and press for real answers from a klingon? And I don't mean the wimpy Arne Darvin (converted Klingon in Trouble With Tribbles), I mean Kang!

Sorry.. is my tricorder open again? -
Quote:I could be wrong on this but I think if you hit a bomb thats later destroyed it'll count towards the badge. So pick on bombs that other people are hitting or hit each bomb once and then find another one in the hope someone else destroys itQuote:I think it requires some minimum level of damage for it to count.
