  1. I personally don't care if someone wants to make a "pure healer" build or not. But if you decide to go that way, use fortitude on more than just one person. That's all I ask.

    I often bid like that on common salvage and large inspirations because I despise having to waste time putting up bids and pulling them down and reposting just to save myself 100k influence. I rarely bid under 20k for any piece of salvage and just because my finger is already over the 2 key if I for a second don't think 20k will do it I'll just bid 200k instead.

    I've been leveling one recently and Negligent(my claws/elec) is currently at 32 and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Spin is a 'must have' power for Claws Scrappers. It is awesome.

    I haven't messed around in Mid's yet with a level 50 build, but I'm confident once I get the recharge and defense I want that this will be a killing machine.

But back to your comparisons re recharge and the ability to spam siphon life fast unless you are in a situation where you have little to no risk of death the ability to trade damage for survivability is pretty important.
    It's been my experience with two high end scrapper builds(DM/SR and FM/SD) that /SD outperforms /SR in every way. That doesn't make /SR obsolete IMO, I still enjoy playing my DM/SR more despite the shielder being more powerful(that wouldn't change if it was DM/SD instead of FM/SD either).

    Also, if you're gonna use a build as an example of how great DM/SR can be, you should post a better one. Posting sub par multi billion influence builds does not support your argument. That would be painful to play without a ton of blues inspirations or a power like Heat Loss.

    edit: At some point in this thread there was a mini discussion about improving Elude. What I would like to see is it changed to something similar to Moment of Glory. Maybe instead of the huge defense bonus put it to something like 15%, keep the resist in the 70% range, and add in a heal or big regen buff. A power like that I would fit into my build somehow.

    That could be because somebody moved out of that niche when their profits started falling leaving you with less competition. Just a guess, but a possibility.
  6. What Nethergoat said. I run Ernesto Hess simply because I enjoy it and I run STF because of the challenge, the reward merits from those two are just a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

    Good stuff heffroncm, welcome back to the game! I'm glad you decided to give the market a fair shot.

    Couple quick tips:

    1. Don't worry if you make a bad investment and just break even or possibly lose a few million. It happens sometimes and you'll make it back quick enough.

    2. If you find something that is moving really fast and for good profit(recipe for 1million and enhancement sells for 15million several times a day) I wouldn't buy more than ten at a time. You may own that niche for a few days, but eventually more people will catch on and you'll see your profits start to fall for that item. Basically, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

    Yeah. Make sure you're under the main forums page and and not just the English forums. It should be at the top. If you can't see it there then just PM theOcho and he'll enable it for you.
  10. I'll make another request to see some of the numbers. I would go to the beta forums to check out the feedback thread, but honestly sifting through 1000+ posts in one thread is a bit much.

    Or if someone could give me a page number to start with in that huge thread that would be a big help.

  16. FM/SD is incredibly powerful and one of my favorite characters to play.
  17. Not sure if influence is an issue or not, but I'm thinking FM/WP will also be the cheapest to get to a IO out.
  18. Shazaym, I see lots of places that build can be improved, but first I need to know what kind of budget you're working with. Are you ok buying purples, PvP defense IO, etc? Or would you rather not spend six billion on your build? Once you let me know that I can make several suggestions to improve it.

    I feel stupid for asking but I'm serious, I'm having trouble seeing a difference.
    Basically prepurchase means you bought it and own it already. Like buying form teh NCSoft store. The code is applied to your account.

    Pre-order is if you reserve a copy from Gamestop. You don't actually own the game until you get it on release day.

    I was under the impression it was. Not sure why, but obviously I'm not the only one. Personally I don't care either way because I don't want to beta test and if I really wanted the info there are places to get it.

    But if this many people are thinking they were supposed to get beta access, then that more than likely means there was a communication error at some point and it should be corrected by some official statement. To not clear this up and just have people keep starting threads means somebody(or more likely several people) isn't doing their job very well.
