I don't think Bowfling was suggesting free IO sets and stuff like that(though I could be wrong), I think he is talking about TO, DO, and SOs. While I have no data to back this up, I don't think the normal enhancements are what people are wanting to mail to their alts.

Thanks,

/signed. Actually, hell yes to your idea. Me having to jump through less hoops to transfer influence and etc. from one of my characters to another does not hurt anybody in anyway, so I see no good reason not to allow it(and one sure as hell hasn't been given in this thread). This feature should have been added last year.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, then I take it if I had a solution that was even easier, AND had a broader base of access, you would be in favor of it right?
So then free enhancements???
[/ QUOTE ] I'm not opposed to free enhancements(assuming we're not talking about IO sets), but I'm not sure how it's relevant to a mail system. -
[ QUOTE ]
while it would make a lot of things easier for the players, I can also see how it would make things easier for the... you know, RMTers.
[/ QUOTE ] I'm sorry, but that is a horrid argument. The players are a higher priority than RMTers. Besides, the suggestion wouldn't allow them to do anything they couldn't do now. Or if you're that worried about it, restrict sendint items/influence/etc to the same account.
[ QUOTE ]
I support restricting ingame e-mail more than it is now, not giving it more features.
[/ QUOTE ] Adding optional filters would be a feature that you could use to restrict emails you receive.
See, it would be the best of both worlds. -

I want this reply to be somewhat constructive
[/ QUOTE ] You failed. All you said was, "no, use search." Granted, those weren't your exact words, but the substance of your post was equivalent to that. You didn't actually give a reason, why is it a really, really bad idea? Other than your post not being against the forum rules because you added a bunch of words to it, how was it any different then saying, "no, use search."
How exactly is that constructive? -

Well does anyone have any ideas as to how we could make this work?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, make all ATs avaialable to both sides when creating your character. Done.
[/ QUOTE ]
This.
But existing character side-switching is coming I think. I think the devs are breaking down many of the barriers between the game. Hopefully, it won't be just side switching, but full on Open World. Go where you want, make what you want.
[/ QUOTE ] I'm in support of this idea. -

Now if you are simply asking that Merits be a tradable resource, or even trade-within-account, I am sorry, but that's not going to happen. Characters of different levels earn Merits at different rates. Merits are supposed to streamline the reward process for that character, and that's not going to be changing any time soon.
[/ QUOTE ] Thats fine, what I would like to see is being able to pick the level of our reward when we do a random TF roll. For example, I want my level 50 scrapper to be able to receive a random level 33 recipe. I believe that would help lower level supply. I don't care if it costs more merits to do it that way, I just want it. Currently finding level 33 recipes is difficult, and I don't wanna spend hundreds or merits on something like Kinetic Combat.
Any chance of us being able to pick the level of the recipe we receive ina random roll? -

I think Fry sums my feelings about I14 and the MA best:
"Whatever is in that box, it's the only thing I ever wanted."
[/ QUOTE ] Does that mean I14 will take us to other dimensions?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, of a sort. It will certainly take us to other worlds, and some arcs may send us to other dimensions...
[/ QUOTE ] Sounds good. Just make sure not to shake the box. Or sit on it. -

Dr Robert's Merit Price Index.
Dr Robert has created spreadsheets to track market prices and merit prices of Task Force and Trial Recipes. The spreadsheets currently do not include other options. Some players have volunteered to help Dr Robert collect the data. The #s will be updated whenever possible.
PPM = Price Per Merit. One can understand this as "this is how much Inf I can get for every merit I have." Average means something. You should look up what average means. The format of the spreadsheets is constantly being updated to more accurately describe the data and history of the data. This data is constantly changing and always out of date.
Dr Robert is a Dr. That means you should trust him.

Ok, we know.
We should have had said something more by now, about Issue 13. But like all great architectural endeavors, Issue 13 is taking on a life of its own and were not quite ready to spill forth all the information.
So, just a quick note to say thanks for your patience, even though we know you may not really be patient. Trust us, its coming; were working on it and theres more great stuff coming (like you havent heard that before, but really, we mean it!)
Thanks!

As it should have. Giving Blasters Unstoppable is unforgivable.
[/ QUOTE ]
And yet some folks want to compound one error by duplicating it villanside ?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. It's called a level playing-field.
Make PPP's available to Heroes through some series of quests.
Make EPP's available to Villains.
Call it a day.
[/ QUOTE ]
I love Force of Nature as much as the next guy, but seriously...it's NOT Unstoppable. That's like confusing Michael and Tito. 50% effectiveness, 2/3 Duration, and NO mez protection. I'm sure someone's going to say "well, that doesn't matter, it's still unstoppable-ish", but to me giving a blaster 35% resist for 120 seconds is one thing, but 70% resist for 180 is simply unforgivable. Maybe I'm just anal, but I don't like FoN being used interchangably with Unstoppable.
[/ QUOTE ]
In that case, what is the difference (if any) between Blaster EPP Hibernate and Ice Tank Hibernate? Honest question, I actually don't know the answer to that one.
[/ QUOTE ]
Twice the recharge time seems to be the only difference. -
[ QUOTE ]
Giving Blasters Unstoppable Jr. is unforgivable.
[/ QUOTE ]
I still don't see why. So what that a blaster can have up to 55%(slotted) resist for two minutes. Still won't take long for a Rikti Chief Soldier to take the blaster's head off if he isn't paying attention. There still isn't mez protection. So I fail to see how it is such a big deal. -

I disagree, a scrapper with unstoppable can do some crazy [censored] as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Scrappers have damage mitigation as their secondary. They're supposed to be able to take hits. Blasters are supposed to be the glass cannons.
Blasters getting scrapper level mitigation was a bad idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
IMO, a blaster having 2 minutes of that at a time post level 47 really isn't that big of a deal. Now if they had access to that power at level 38 I would agree with you. -

I have no basic problem with the PPPs. I DO have the standard complaints (can't respec 'em, no variety, etc.) As for story wise, they could just as easily be stolen/copied from the patrons. In the case of Hell Hound, Mako didn't give me the powers, I beat the crap out of him and took 'em. :P
And looking at the EPPs, they do seem to have more variety, thus, more good powers. As a brute, I pretty much had my choice of colors for ranged attacks and a pet. Whoopdee doo. But it's the final power that interests me the most. After all, that's SUPPOSED to be the "powerful" one. The one we have to dedicate three powers to get to. For nearly every class, they seem useful. I DO like having my pet around as a Brute.
But Blasters.... Wow. Let's see, they get a quick heal, a self rez, an AOE nuke, a massive ranged attack, or (and this is my favorite) Unstoppable. Corrupters and Dominators (the Villain side ranged damage classes) get their choice of.... a summon, a summon, a summon, or if they REALLY want it.. a summon.

We have a few shared zones with most zones being for one faction only, while they have only a few faction only zones with most being shared.
[/ QUOTE ]
So the division between "they're the same game" and "they're seperate" is an entirely arbitrary count or percentage of shared zones?
I applaud your willingness to admit this is totally arbitrary.
[/ QUOTE ]
Applaud my willingness to state why *I* don't see them as one game and won't until it meets the requirements I stated above. Nowhere did I say *you* have to see it that way.
What I was trying to point out was that in WoW both factions are pert of the same exact world, not kept separate except for a few zones.
I applaud your attempt to put words in my mouth though.
[/ QUOTE ]
Someone mentioned in the thread(don't feel like looking for the quote), that Positron mentioned they are one game. If he did say that, does it really matter if you consider them one game or not? Not trying to be rude, but if the devs consider them one, then really anybody else's opinion on the matter(myself included) is pretty worthless. -
[ QUOTE ]
Terra, would you support that additions from this point on that left the current "blue side" exactly as is while updating only red side?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't see how that could possibly be a good idea. Why not keep adding the kind of stuff they added last three issues while at the same time adding some unique stuff for both sides, even if CoV gets a little bit more. Remember, Heroes did have a significant head start so it makes perfect sense for there to be more content on that side. I have no problem with Villains catching up, but there is absolutely no good reason to neglect Heroes when a majority of people play blue side. Please tell me how your question would be a good idea to implement. -
[ QUOTE ]
Kheldians are just one more AT CoH-side, and not a very good one, at that.

Time to lobby for a red only issue.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be fine with me and I don't play red side. Just give my heroes a costume piece or two and a couple new badges and I'd be happy if everything else was geared towards villains.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hero vs villain population is generally accepted as being 2-1.
It's vanishingly unlikely we'll see an issue that ignores the bulk of the playerbase.
What is possible is that the influx of money and talent brought by the NC takeover will allow them to add more 'exclusive' red side content in addition to the co-op and hero stuff.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree, I doubt anything like that would happen. I was just stating that it wouldn't bother me at all. But it would bother alot of people so I can see why it won't happen.
