Can't wait for heat loss sounds awfully like a fulcrum shift power but instead of damage buff its an endurance recovery buff to, sounds incredibly awesome.

It works exactly like fulcrum shift in that you have to get among a big mod of enemies for it to work to maximum effect but while it's active it's easily as good as a slotted recovery aura, without actually being slotted itself. Horrendous recharge though.

The one thing I cant work out is whether or not it needs accuracy - it takes the enhancements but I have never ever missed with it even with no accuracy so's slotted, and I play against +2/+3s regularly

I'd say at the moment 1acc/3 recharge would be sufficient slotting, with maybe 2 end mods if slots are spare.

What was your name again mate? were you the dark brute called genericvillain001?

Haven't had much luck with teams since that day to be honest - would be good to team with you again - add me as @mr cuddles if you want

You on union? dry ice and lady kinetika by any chance? We always team together (real life mates)
  4. Yea, he does tend to run into the fight after attacking but I have another bind which is goto passive and i drag him back behind me.

I always try and keep him alive because he really reduces down time. (being traps I dont have a direct heal)
  5. Try controlling your medic seperately.

I use lshift+button 1 to send every soldier but the medic as "goto aggressive" Then use lshift+button 2 to send my medic to a slightly staggered position set to defensive.#

The range on heals is pretty good so he can be a long way behind the rest of the mercs and still heal. He also defends you if you get attacked.

theres a great guide on the us forums by northstar.

But quickly - my opinions are that ice shield is ok but glacial shield is a waste as it only gives energy and neg energy def while you already have energy res in your arctic fog.

Frostworks is great but team mates get frustrated that it's not a "full team" buff because of the slow recharge - can keep it perma on 3 team mates aith some recharge slotted.

I respecced out of the shields, I am not a buff bot I am a master of carnage and that's what you get with ice/cold - lots of slow motion carnage especially after level 35 and the glorious sleet power. mmm it knocksdown like ice patch, it debuffs def and res, it slows, it does damage..mmmmmm
  7. Cryptic by name, Cryptic by nature.
  8. No worries about using rains with snow storm to slow them down, and sleet to knock them down at level 35.
  9. benumb is currently slotted 2 accuracy but I intend to have it 2acc 3 recharge reduction (assuming there are slots available)

I use it mainly on elite bosses/heroes because it recharges slowly I try not to waste it but I always try and use it on big hitters if it's up (eg council werewolves and night widows)

on something like that I always lead with benumb purely because if/when you get their return fire, it will be 50% less. If you lead with infigidate then you get full force of their first attack. If that attack includes knockback/stun then you are in trouble because you can't get benumb off to reduce their damage.

For most mobs, snow storm cast in mid air so the jump lands out of line of sight sets up a nice (slow) pull then as they get closer, drop sleet for knockdown and -res - def, then ice storm, then either cycle targets quickly to get them in scourge range and let the rain finish them off, or drop blizzard if it's ready

As for your endurance problems, using the tactic above might help because you rely on scourge from the rain to finish them off so don't waste endurance on finishing them off with the end hungry blasts.

Of course tactics never work all the time in the same way. For example, werewolves, carnie strongmen and some others I forget are immune to slow so they always need to be held so sometimes it's better to start with a hold, other times better to start with benumb, other times with snow storm, others with sleet.

There's a REALLY good ice/cold guide on the us corruptor forum which helped me a lot. I might write one myself if I think I can say anything useful
  10. endurance stopped being a problem for me after 3 slotted stamina. Slot an end red in every attack and snow storm and arctic fog.

The res to energy and fire from arctic fog is ace. I love the power.

dont skip benumb - it makes any elite boss/hero whatever do 50% less damage which is indispensible.

level 36 at the moment so dont have heat loss yet but as I said, I don't really have endurance problems anyway. When you get to 35 you have the ability to take down any spawn completely with 3 powers - sleet + ice storm + blizzard.
  11. I'm sure it's a bug because they don;t come back even if you spam the "heel" bind - they only come back to you after one attack on the rezzed freak
  12. On a freak mission I discovered that if you don't wait around for them to rez and move on, occasionally as you order them to attack an enemy they will run all the way back to the newly rezzed freak.

    Frustrating to say the least.
  13. I have no need to apologise, I didn't accuse anybody of anything I just warned people of the rumour that spawning caleb crashed defiant, then made a post using a smily face sticking his tounge out.

If you use a smily face, it means your post is light hearted and humorous!
  14. Nah its down due to the latest patch which went live with a crippling bug which brought all the servers down. It may or may not have anything to do with spawning Caleb, although Defiant went down as soon as Caleb was spawned.
  15. Union is now down. Hope your badge was worth it :P
  16. apparently spawning caleb works now but as soon as you hit him, the server crashes.
  17. I can invite - will be on tonight as dry ice no doubt.
  18. As an ice/cold I'd have to say sleet+ice rain+blizzard+scourge as well as really good single target damage and two of the best single target debuffs (slow,-regen and -50% damage)

    2 Questions :)

I've got intimidate and invoke panic on mr cuddles and although it definitely increases your survivability both powers are a bit rubbish unslotted.

invoke panic uses a ton of endurance too so needs slotting for acc, fear duration and end reduction.

They are ok but they take a lot of slots to get anywhere near good.

Having two taunts is really damn useful though
  20. congratulations mate glad you made it to 50

I have fond memories of spanking infernal with you mate
  21. My main peeve is with the medic from the mercenary powerset.

On Passive he does not heal, as expected. However, sometimes when set to defensive or aggressive he will stand well within heal range of a wounded henchman and do nothing. I have seen this when henchmen have been very close to death so if there is a minimum hp a henchman must have before being healed, I've definitely past it. It's important to note that he does not heal AT ALL so it's not because the heal hasn't recharged.

Sometimes, setting him to pasive then back to aggresive or defensive again nudges him to heal, other times this does not work and you need to issue a "goto" command before he will heal.

Other times, no matter what you do he will still refuse to heal.

It's not like he heals for much anyway so a reliable heal would make him less of an annoyance.
  22. I think I'm the highest corrosion ranger as well as the most active. I also have the largest [censored] of all the corrosion rangers, the best powers, the most useful buffs and I CAN MAKE IT SNOW.

So with me you get the whole package basically.
  23. carnie strongmen are also resistant to slow.

so the list of npc's resistant to slow so far is:

    Slags (all of them)
    council wolves
    carnie strongmen
  24. ok looks like stealth will be the best bet. I don't want my henchmen to be invisible I was hoping for a situation where I can get less aggro when I move forwards to lay my traps (mercs stay at long range generally)

Stealth isn't as good as invis but at least I can still do stuff when stealthed
