  2. I'm a huge fan of your work, Sarcasm has never translated well, without the /sarcasm before and after the txt So, just to be clear, I'm hoping you were not being sarcastic.
  3. Casting my vote now, and let this be known: I have dumped so much time and labor into creating a massive labyrinth, those that have seen my base know that this speaks volumes and I hope that everyone would follow my example when I say

Let's start over from scratch and make it everything it should be.

I am willing to part with all of my work -if I have to- because of how much I want new base editing tools and base related features.

I love my little private SG base (click on my sig to see it). But I highly doubt we will ever get anything more for them. Not even dead-easy things like floor patterns with bottoms or simple geometric shapes for combining into different things.

Ouch, fired I mean...Sunstorm may have broken something but I don't remember him being "in your face rude" about it...unless I missed something. Last I remember of him he said something to the effect of: "I can't tell you what I'm working on <it's not bases> but I can tell you that you will love it" then he disappeared... forever...in a deep deep well...with nothing but twinkie wrappers and dead cockroaches...

I think they just didn't have the resources to fix what was broken and the powers that be at the time had to pull them away for "other things"

    :/
  5. I know... I'm adding my own spin to it. Not a big deal. Feel free to ignore it.
  6. ...base missions to unlock base items...that would buff sg members?!

    */em tantrum*
  7. I would also like to know this and why we don't have a tp beacon?

That hateful door slams so hard I forget what I'm doing just to get over it.

I should really learn to use mids, just as everyone should really learn to love farming.

I only took three elec melee powers from that set if you don't count taunt.

I run through my farms faster than I ever did on my ss/fire with the same +4x8 diff.

Its as if alot of those power choices were placed to hinder farm builds, but if you leave said powers out and fill them in with epics, that leaves you free to add things like leadership to increase survivability and output effectiveness.

skipping all but three elec attacks allowed me to take fly... something I have always wanted to do with this build and I'm glad I did. The air superiority has so much to offer and is quite nice when properly slotted.

I need to get my tail into mids.

The mission maps are already indexed in the MA, and graded by size too - if they could be somehow made able to be opened in the base editor, then I think that'd be awesome - and with no base raids, the ability to clip, stack or hide objects wouldn't really matter at all.
Player could have sewer bases, or bases in Cimeroran tunnels, or CoT dungeons, or Praetorian labs - a magical SG could have the Cimeroran templs as its base, and a tech villain SG could have the Hess TF final map as its base - there really would be a huge amount of new possibilities.
If you are trying to be friendly towards me and cheer me up its working.

For example, the basic control unit could grant all SG memebers a +1% To Hit and Defense buff, while the basic power unit provided a +1% Damage and Resistance buff, each tier of the power and control devices would grant 1% higher buff, possibly with being stackable for having more than one, like the owners of Secure plot types.
So a LARGE SG with two Dimensional Vortexes (third tier arcane power), and two Autonomous Expert Systems would be buffing all SG members by 6% (3% invidually) in defense, resistance, damage, and To Hit. This bonus would hopefully be small enough to not make it pressing you join an SG, but still make it a very nice perk to either encourage activity/contribute within yours or join a large and established one.

Other functional items could also give their own minor buffs as well, such as maybe teleporters offering small movement buffs, Medical could grant regeneration (and possibly recovery) buffs.

  11. Very stimulating.

I like the emote- the rotating circle of stars looks very nice and well done.

The tease to the animal pack makes me smile and puts me in a good mood.

The Vanguard gear is going to make dressing up my alts at low level so much win. I like that. I like the pet too.

I really want to resub for this one, because I like the feel and attitude behind it. Very cool vibe. I like it. Feels good.

I would like to hear if there is any progression towards adding anything new for bases... with the same vibe as this promotion.

Very cool. You devs definitely deserve more resources, a huge raise, and limitless radial freem.
  12. You ever watch what a cat will do to a spider?
  13. I would like to see the return of the "Bonanza" badge.

Just a wild far fetched dream- I would like to see a "Hossome" badge.
  14. here is another angle for solo

there are times when I want to sit down and really get immersed in gameplay, I really want to sit and read every little detail, go through every cutscene and get my digs into reading whats going on.

that really doesn't sit too well for a large team that is ready move on to the next mob.

I consider anything lvl 50 to be end game content, and that goes for tf's as well. One thing that I would like to see ,-Keep in mind just my opinion-, I would like to see things like the ITF made solo-able. I would really like to take on that challenge. I'm hearing things about incarnates that will allow players to solo av's and the likes, so I dig the idea of soloing an ITF without having to bug people to join a team to get it started. that goes back to what I was saying about getting my digs into an actual storyline instead of "ready for mob #2"

I feel <again just my opinion> that a mechanic like that would do wonders for the longevity of the game as a whole. my angle really isn't about trying to reap the rewards from a solo TF, my opinion: Alot more people would be able to do end game things solo meaning alot more people would be playing, hence...longevity.

    /endrant
  15. Maybe I have never considered it a problem, one thing I liked when I read was how the "well" responded more towards the will of a person and didn't care if the person was good or evil, That kind of stood out for me. I liked how that sounded.

The shards? The well has seen fit to drop shards on me, don't really know if its my diff settings or something intuitive coded into the game. Maybe both. Who knows? I have never sought to try to find a pattern of drop rate or number crunch, it just "seemed" to drop for whatever I set out to do. Random.

My thing is I like the solo-ability. I love doing things solo, just as much as teaming, I'm just not in a position to -team- as much as I used to, so making end game content challenging <yet possible for solo> works out well for me. I would like to see this trend continue.

for example, I was about to get a team going to take out Lady winter, just as I got the team assembled and half of them showed up, my brother walks through my front door and I hit the switch on the back of my power supply and I'm out of the house rushing to a RL emergency.

I didn't even get a chance to give a reason for bailing.

If I was running solo, I would have just went afk inside the mission until I got back.

    Solo is important to me.
  16. Thankful that I can be a powerful and god like being that has no problems lending my strength to others.

  18. Now I know why Ocho and Castle found better jobs.
  19. Anyway, I like to see more solo friendly content for several reasons.

There's times when I'm up late and nobody else is on, there's times when my schedule gets hectic and I have to play in short bursts, There's times when the day was long and I just want to be left alone.

I like the intro to the incarnate missions, it is suggested teaming, but not impossible to solo.

I look forward to seeing more of that.

Also, I hope that when My lovely incarnate brute gets to be powerful enough I can actually setup and run a solo an ITF without having to bother people to get it started.
  20. Might as well just hand you a shovel.

  22. I find this ironic, and a bit depressing.

One thing that the Gorilla took from City of was what used to be the item of power mechanic, the buff to all members for certain achievements.

While there isn't any base editing involved...If you belong to a guild that has a huge amount of achievements, you get some very nice and -useful- buffs... just for being a member...

In city- that is a thing that has been removed, untouched and avoided... for so long, I have faith that the dev team will never do anything about it.

The inactivity of attention to the subject tells me they simply don't have the resources to breath new life into it.

It would be a beatific thing if they did, But that horse doesn't get any bets from me.

    Not anymore.
  23. You are deliberately missing the point.

    That's fine and expected.

My "point" won't miss its intended audience, and that's all that matters...

But would any of the devs agree? No, because ED narrows down the gap between the best builds and the middle of the road ones, even accounting for Inventions and purples, making it much easier to balance the game.

Sure, you can ask the playerbase to see which feature was the most or least *popular*, but success is defined not only by "how many people like the feature". There's also "did we achieve the expected result", "how did this impact the health of the game" and "how much time and effort did we spend compared to the result". To gauge any of those things, you require knowledge that only a dev of the game has.
None of which is a bad thing until you get to this "To gauge any of those things, you require knowledge that only a dev of the game has"

We aren't talking about what the devs gauge.

We are talking about what the players gauge.

The players are the ones that keep things going...right?

So... that non tailored feedback, good or bad, is what would be important on defining success and failure... it would point to the "hey we need more resources...nao..."

Please keep in mind, I'm not faulting the devs for -any- failure.

They are too awesome for that!

I'm faulting the parent company for not allocating enough resources and keeping devs well fed and better equipped, because I really want to say "I guarantee you" that if this game had the resources it DESERVED... there would be a-LOT less disappointment when gaining feedback.

Any kind of "Failure" can easily be linked to "Not enough resources"

    Bank on that.

Seriously... If I were a millionaire, I would soooo make sure that this game would have everything it needs, well fed devs included, because it deserves nothing short of the very best.

    It does.
