I've been thinking a bit more, and I suppose if I had to make a top 5 list, it would look like this (not necessarily in order):
1. Anything using the Tarzan emote.
2. The "take a poop" Assassin's moves.
3. Total Focus and all its super-slow-mo friends.
4. The old Flares animation, not sure what still uses it, but it looks a little too much like you're trying to sprinkle fairy dust on them.
5. Any breath or eyebeam attack...not necessarily bad animations, just not particularly suitable for a lot of concepts, would be nice to get an alternate version that generates from the arms/hands. -
This might be a little premature, but I would like to put in a vote for the T9 Kinetic Melee power, whatever it's called. I love all the other animations, but that windmill arm motion looks kinda goofy. But not picking/using it isn't really an option, which leaves me with an aesthetics problem.
Just about anything else I'd mention has already been covered multiple times, so I'll just finish this post with "I concur". -
Much obliged Kheldarn, that's exactly what I was hoping for. Slap some goggles on with that and it's gold.

If this is correct, any chance of someone grabbing a screenshot? I've never seen Mad Max 2 so I'm not sure what it might look like, but if it's anything like it sounds I've got a character who's been waiting a long time for it...

I've got a DP/Traps instead of DP/Kin, but some of the problems are similar. For one, I found Swap Ammo to be generally worthless while soloing, so I pushed it back to lv30 in my build and things were nicer.
As for the Dual Wield vs Empty Clips thing, personally I made two builds for levelling, one with a single target focus (DW + Suppressive Fire) and one with an AoE focus. I found that the ST build was nice for certain enemy groups at certain level ranges, so that might be worth looking into. Once I hit around 28 I generally felt like I didn't need the ST build anymore since I had enough tools from my secondary along with the strong SO/IO enhancements, but I'm not sure how well that would apply to /Kin. -
Quote:Yeah, I considered that as a possibility, but there are other ally buffs which have negative aspects (two examples off the top of my head are Group Fly and Increase Density) yet you can never opt out of those powers. One of the buffs includes a penalty to defence.
Because it is possible to roll the dice on the fortune and come out behind in an area that is important to you, it is important to make sure that the player has an option to avoid it.
Me, I don't like the solution? I'd just ditch the penalty, tone down the benefit, and so on. But the choices have been made.
The best I could come up with as a legitimate and consistent reason was the damage that the target can take when The Tower is rolled, but I'm not even sure if that's capable of KOing someone or if it's just a percentage of their current HP.
Even then, it seems like a bit of a hassle to put in a prompt that is going to be at best a pointless hoop to jump through 99% of the time, just to cover a 1% worst possible contingency. -
I suppose my main question is "why was the Mystic Fortune prompt created in the first place?", because disregarding the occasional comment from a neurotic RPer, I honestly can't think of a reason it was thought to be deserving of special treatment.
Also wanted to say that I and the overwhelming majority of Justice global channel users seem to either dislike the prompt, or don't care enough about it either way to comment. I don't recall ever reading a single person mourning its loss at i17 launch, or celebrating its return today.
All that being said, I very much appreciate the rest of the QoL and bugfixes from this patch. -
I've played Illusion/FF up to about 30 before I finally decided it wasn't going anywhere. There's just very little synergy between the two sets at all, and I couldn't help thinking I was gimping the potential of each set. Not that it's bad per se, I was able to join teams and feel like I was making a significant contribution, it was just that I kept thinking how much MORE awesome I would be if I had a different primary or secondary.
If I were to make another /FF controller, I would most likely be leaning towards Fire, but that's a completely uninformed opinion and I've never actually tried the combo. -
If all you want is a huge pet window, then /Traps actually fills it up more. FFGen, Acid Mortar (more than 1 if your recharge allows), and temporarily 2 Seeker Drones all show up in your pet window.
As far as I know neither the Posse from Gang War or the Living Hellfire from Hell on Earth show up in your pet window. The ghost from Soul Extraction definitely does though. -
Current issues that I've run across when using the new interface, and judging by the chatter in global channels I'm not the only one:
1. Attempting to bid crashes the game - Seems to be mostly/only in populated areas? Attempting to bid in the Talos Island WW crashed me four times in a row (for the record, this was Justice server, and the item I was bidding on was a lv30 Accuracy generic IO), whereas I was able to make the bid successfully when I moved to King's Row.
The actual crash always occurred when I clicked on the bidding field, before I had a chance to enter any amount. Browsing seemed to be unaffected.
2. Buying multiple unstackable enhancements - Since you can now bid on actual enhancements in bulk, I tried it out and the game charged me for each of them (3k total, 1k each x3) but when I attempted to actually collect them I was only given one. The WW channel said "You got 3", but the remaining two disappeared into limbo.
3. Spam lockout - If you get the "WW is busy" message, it seems to never time out. I was waiting for several minutes before I eventually had to relog to fix it. -
Think of it like the Cone of Silence in Get Smart.
-
Ninja/Traps, because people never expect it to be as awesome as it is. I do have to admit that I'm quite fond of the actual costume and backstory I made for him too, so maybe that skews my opinion somewhat.

I believe you need Unbreakable for Born in Battle.

When the guide was written, it actually was Nigh Indestructible that was needed for the accolade. Fortunately Positron caved in on that one and lowered it to Unbreakable...which is still more than a little crazy for a lot of ATs, but at least it's not as bad as it used to be.
