Thanks. My husbands birthday present will be ready on time.

I'm just finishing the first part of my arc featuring one of my favorite characters deepest back stories, and guest staring members from my SG (and some of their background). Testing is going well, but I have some really noob questions.
When writing your contact dialog, how do you get it to refer to the hero doing the arcs name?
How do you write a background folks can see on your contact and allies?
I know its probably posted in many places, but I'm rushing a bit to get this done for my husbands birthday.
Thanks

Name of the Arc: Shaded to Black
Author: Shadowrush
Morality: Heroic
I've played through this arc twice. Once with a friend, again with my husband. It got 5 starts from all of us. -

I can't speak for anyone else, but the toons I PL are ones for PVP. I have tons that never get PL'd and just PVE. Oh, I did PL kins on both blue and red side to farm with.

Right, and I get that. It's just that, to me, my characters are characters. History, personality, etc. All of them. I just can't PL. It's dull, I feel like I "cheated" and I get no satisfaction from a character like that. I'm far more a comic book geek than I am a gamer. I PvP sometimes, but I'm not really that into it. It's more something to do with my higher levels (I enter them in our SGs tourneys, routinely get my butt kicked, but still have fun!). I understand the point of view. "I've done the content a million times and I just want a better PvP toon" is perhaps the most logical reason I can think of for PLing. PLing anything else seems...odd and missing the point to me.

I'm with Decorum on this one. All of my characters have a back story. You don't have to play the exact same content over and over.
If you are bored, try this...Pick a different origin. Talk to different contacts. Concentrate on different enemies. Try new and underused power sets. If you aren't having fun with the toon you're playing, delete and try something else. -
The sound effect for the Magician isn't an explosion, it's the sound of a magic trick. Specifically, pulling a dove out of thin air. *POUF* *flap flap flap flap*

I've had this game for...well several years, and I just made my first tank last month. This guide was amazingly helpful and informative. Thank you for posting it.

Sorry if this has been hashed out already, but i haven't seen any posts. I have a lvl 40 fire/storm controller, 20 fire/storm corruptor, and a 32 necro/storm MM. The MM's freezing rain seems to actually adhere to the power description, while my controller and corruptor's do not.
I timed them using my computer's system clock, and the controller/corruptor versions (and i suspect the defender version might do this too) clocked in at around 20 seconds for the effects to disappear. I know there's been a lot of discussion about the bugginess of the -res/-def, that it persists if a mob leaves the rain before the power ends, and ends if it's in the rain when the power ends. For sure it stops doing knockdown/slow.
My MM's FR had the effects for a full 45 seconds, and continued to do the visual effect, damage, slow, -res/-def, and knockdown the whole time. With 3 recharges, it's perma with overlap. It actually does what the detailed info says it's supposed to do.
It would be amazing to have the rest of our beloved stormies have fixed Freezing Rains, why do MMs have all the fun? Please??

I know folks thank you all the time for the tips on creepers, but..thanks again Weatherby. As a rule I like them, and you've helped me slot it better.

When I found out my "defender" had the most kills in Steel Canyon in a 24 hour period.
The best defense is a good offense. -
I have a puestion you've probably been asked dozens of times, but how do you take a screenshot so your personal ID shows? I just keep getting shots of my character, without the ID info.
Thanks,
Miz
